Cheap ingredients, expensive price. At £15, this breakfast was pricey. It’s one of those places that serve up the cheap processed sausages. Even the condiments are the cheap and nasty packet version. Won’t be returning any time soon. Might do if they improve their ingredients.

Lovely food, and great service from our waitress. However, selling an Aldi bottle of wine, which costs £3.99 (it is a lovely wine) for nearly £20 is taking the piss. I honestly don't mind a mark up in restaurants,but to charge near 5 times the amount is absolutely ridiculous. Mentioned it to our waitress, who seemed extremely embarrassed, However nothing she could do. Owner heard me mention it and did absolutely nothing. Was asked if we wanted to keep the bottle, which we had already opened and started drinking, so of course we kept it, and paid that price for it! So to sum up, don't order a bottle of wine, when you can get 5 bottles of the same on the supermarket 😒

Superb, fresh breakfast which tasted delicious. Creamy scrambled egg, fresh cut bread- most amazing omlette - it was one if the nicest breakfast we’ve had in this parade of restaurants and we will be returning very soon.

Abundant portions, good quality. Really appreciated the fresh salad!

The food was great we had pizza. It had a deep base hand made with all the taste of Italy. The waitress service was good and we were given table near the entrance, which had just been cleaned and all COVID precautions wer in place

Service was great and breakfast was wonderful. Empty plates all round. We will be back

Went to 'The Arches' for some fish and chips and tried Sea Breeze.The fish and chips weren't bad but weren't good either. It was close to closing but didn't feel rushed. Good view from the cafe but it is the same for most of the eateries in this stretch.OK for a snack but wouldn't want to go for a proper meal or take anyone there - I'm sure there are better places along the row.

Food was good. Experience was good, has improved much over the years, they are still experimenting with different products and menu styles to see which are the best. Been a regular customer for years.

Visited here Sunday 9th June. Two coffees which were a latte and quite a small cappuccino. Two sausage sandwiches, total bill...£16.80!! Bread was nice and fresh but don’t think I’ll be revisiting.

Food was very good, ordered fish and chips, delicious, with great service, highly recommend.

Over the years we have had a tradition of a New Year's Day breakfast in the arches. It's an hours drive each way for us and this year we visited the Sea Breeze Cafe, there were five of us including a 2 year old.We arrived at 9 and were greeted by who we assume was one of the owners / managers of the restaurant. A high chair was provided and after the drinks order we all ordered a form of cooked breakfast. Hot drinks arrived quickly and cooked breakfasts were not to far behind. Three young waiting staff arrived at 9:30 and started dealing with the customers. As part of breakfast we had ordered various toast or bread and butter side, on giving our 2 year old a piece of said bread and butter he said cheese, we corrected and told him it was butter it was only on eating some ourselves we realised there was something wrong with the butter. The butter was in small individual packs and on checking them the butter had gone rancid and had a distinct smell, for those that had eaten it i was a challenge to get rid of the taste. One of the packs was discoloured in the folds which resembled mould. We brought this to the attention of one of the waitresses who took the packs back into the kitchen, she came back and confirmed it was not right and asked if we wanted any more butter, we said not if it comes from the same batch as all of the packs we had been given were off. So she said sorry and walked away. End of story as far as she was concerned.A good measure of any business is how it deals with problems, it was unfair to leave the young waitress to deal with the situation, when someone more senior was present. While it may be a lack of experience or she may just not fully appreciate the importance of good customer service we were left with a negative feeling towards our dining experience.

I always came late to this restaurant, basically that means during non-breakfast hours of 10-2pm and they were so wonderful. I got pancakes and hot chocolate here most of the time (6 out of the 10 days) just because they were so good. The couple, the proprietors of the restaurant, were such sweet hosts. This is definitely a hidden gem!

It was nice to drop into the "Arches" for lunch after a bracing walk along the seafront. Sea Breeze was clean and inviting so we took our seat in the sun. We were served quickly with drinks. Our order of ham off the bone, egg and chips was freshly cooked and served without delay. As others have said, it is a little expensive.

Really nice restaurant on the front for quality, no fuss food. Huge portions. Tasty fish and chips. Lovely sea views.

Terrible experience. Fish was off but lady argued with me and brought my plate back in front of other diners. Large fish was not Large! Found staff sat and stared at us while we ate. Avoid!

Popped down to "The Arches" for breakfast and chose this cafe because it takes cards as payment.Lovely view overlooking the esturary.We ordered breakfast (Tea with bacon, scrambled egg, baked beans and toast)I was disappointed that we weren't offered a choice of bread for the toast. The toast was just cheap thinly sliced white bread.The bacon was thick cut, nicely grilled and very tasty.Baked Beans tasted cheap (not a well known brand) but were OK.The bill came to £19.70 which we thought was quite steep for what we ordered.

Estado aquí unas cuantas veces para desayuno/almuerzo, decidimos volver ya que era un día precioso. El café estaba vacío pero era las 9 de la mañana y no nos gustó mucho.Tuve el desayuno 1 y mi compañero tenía una tortilla a la que se le preguntó si él quería patatas fritas o ensalada (uno está incluido), también ordenó algunos lados.Lo que no podía olvidar la factura era de £27 - mi desayuno por sólo £6 pero de alguna forma añadida en las patatas fritas y la ensalada (aunque mi pareja no era nos preguntaron cuál quería, Él habría ido por las patatas ensalada para el desayuno es un poco raro de todos modos), una porción de frijoles era £1. 80, un vaso de jugo de naranja cerca de 3 libras - nos quedamos impactados, ya que cuando hemos llegado antes, no era caro.Mi compañero preguntó a la camarera a romper la ley, ya que no era por escrito correctamente en el recibo, los propietarios de la cafetería ni siquiera preguntar el tema/problema.Extraño. Que no volveré - no esperar a pagar tanto para el desayuno en lo que es uno de los muchos cafés.

Ordered meat pie. Pastry hard. Meat over cooked and stringy ,new potatoes hard. When asked by staff how the food was she just grinned ,no appolagy at all. Quite rude. Did not say thank you or bye. Would not recommend or go back here again ,fish also had lots of bones in it.

Encantador y amable bienvenida, cómodas sillas cojín y la mejor vista al mar! Ambos tuvimos el número 2 con el desayuno huevo frito extra! Nos quedamos con hambre! Unos huevos con yemas en un oozy goteaba)fabuloso gran trozo frito mmm! Linda bacon y salchichas. Gran taza de té fuerte a mojarlo seguro que volveremos!

Este es uno de los más lindos que a lo largo de mejor/" Los Arcos" - aparecimos para un desayuno almuerzo y tarde o temprano fue muy buena. Tuve el atún patatas al horno (muy grande parte! Mi amigo y yo pasamos) la gambas y patatas fritas (nuevo) tanto platos porción enorme alrededor de 6 Libras/7 libras cada uno. . . . Bill llegó a 25 libras para los dos platos principales, un té, capuchino y dos zumos de naranja.Las camareras muy amable, muy atento y amable.

Hemos estado viniendo a la brisa del mar por años! Siempre tenemos una cálida bienvenida y nada es demasiado problema para ellos. Me encanta la lasaña tienen cada vez casero y gran poción. Esta mañana desayunamos su domingo con algunos amigos y fue genial!! Bien hecho que tienen un excelente servicio al cliente y deliciosa comida sabrosa y siempre bienvenida son perros Bertie xx xx pronto el pic fue desde el año pasado cuando él era un cachorro xx

Visitamos con 9 amigos en un domingo muy concurrido para el almuerzo. El personal siempre dispuesto a poner mesas para nosotros y llevar nuestras bebidas. Los pedidos de comida vinieron todos juntos, y que vale la pena esperar! Grande, sabrosas raciones y sin duda la mejor comida que hemos tenido en Southend. No iría a ningún otro sitio.

Had a lovely full breakfast here on Mothering Sunday. Prompt service and reasonable prices. Beware that the bigger breakfasts are HUGE! Will definitely come back. Thank you.

Very nice restaurant, even on a cold New Years Day. Staff friendly and efficient, drinks and food came very promptly and very good it was too!!

food was fresh and tasty. Definetly coming back thanks for the lovely experience I only had a tuna sandwich but it wasa good.

The service, the food and drink, the extensive but not expensive menu make this place the best in the arches. The lasagne is amazing, as is the fish and chips and if they have their special pasta's on, they're great too.

Came as a family and all had fish and chips . No complaints at all . Food very nice and fresh tasting . Reasonably priced and plates were cleaned.

We visit the arches a lot and the sea breeze offers nice food good service and great views of the estuary

Was here today for a breakfast/lunch as part of my birthday carry on weekend and it was lovely. We ordered a fish and chips, a full breakfast and a kids meal, fish fingers, chips and beans with a sea view from where we were sitting. The prices are decent and the staff were very good. The food came out at a reasonable time and the food was really fresh. The breakfast looked delicious and my fish and chips was tasty. My chips was cooked just perfect. Would highly recommend.

We came here on sunday to have some light food late afternoon. The menu's were promptly bought up to us and we were welcomed. I ordered some tea, whereas my cousin ordered avocado chef and calamari which I think she thoroughly enjoyed. The service is good. However the plastic table lining meant that things kept being stuck down on it like a cup/saucer, my arm etc.Fairly well priced for food on the seafront with an added view and sitting outside.

having had a bad experience at one of the 'tavernas' on the sea front, I was apprehensive about trying another one after a hard morning's dog walking on the beach, but the coffee, the welcome and the excellent scrambled eggs made us all instantly relax and enjoy our breakfast .Highly recommended .

I visited the sea breeze on a Saturday evening with friends who were visiting from up north. from the moment we entered we were given a warm welcome, the two waitresses were the friendliest I have ever encountered. Most of us ordered fish, which was first class fare, hot crispy and plenty of it for £7.95. My friends son had a chicken dish which he said was delicious. We had a most enjoyable evening,food and service excellent. Would recommend this place as one of the best along the arches.
