Schoolhouse Restaurant & Hotel in Wiltshire

A total nightmare. stay away. work in tourism since 1992 this hotel is all a joke. actually a nightmare! I complain after 5 minutes they gave me the room that I wasnt expecting a room with a single bed and a shower that is so little that I cant even fit inside and internet is not working at all. she replied I will fix internet. i was expecting that they would change my room. internet never worked. Place is collapsing and in need of a big renovation.

We had to cancel our reservation due to emergency surgery, we contacted them on the 5th day which allowed free cancellation and they charged the card anyway and have refused a refund, we have not been given a credit note or any further contact, upon phoning we had some arrogant man who refused to give let us speak to a manager as he stated the matter has been closed, he also refused to give us his name and proceeded to hang up on me.

The hotel was suggested to us as an alternative on booking.com. Our originally planned hotel was canceled at short notice due to damage. The hotel seemed clean. The service is particularly noteworthy. The owner is very friendly, polite and accommodating to the guests. Why do I only give the room 4 out of 5 stars? This was because our bed in the room was too small for us. That's the only thing I wasn't good at. The breakfast is variable and you can choose whether it is vegetarian or not. The prices for food and drinks are clearly stated and visible. We'll be back.

All great! Amazing breakfast and very kind woman. Good location and comfortable and nice rooms. Don’t trust bad reviews.

Old school room but very clean The view of the cows grazing is truly pleasant I can't give 5 because having a small child they couldn't provide an adequate meal for him Acceptable breakfast

Stayed here for a few nights. Staff were friendly. Breakfasts were delicious and the rooms were very reasonably priced. Would recommend

A magnificent place with a very warm welcome. We thought we were family. Very comfortable bedding and a very cozy room. Excellent dishes and a royal breakfast. A relaxing calm and a superb landscape. Karen the owner was extremely kind and her husband a talented Chef. Thanks to them and big kisses to Fred the affectionate dog. Franck and Valerie
