Scarlets in Northumberland

We have had a menu voucher for Hjem for a while and finally had the pleasure of using it, what a wonderful experience. The booking process was simple and the team helped us to rearrange when our plans had to change. The restaurant itself is beautiful and well curated, cocktails were incredible and made to our preference which was extra special. The open kitchen is a real delight. The menu was absolutely exquisite. We love a tasting menu and enjoyed all the courses at Hjem. The team work extra hard to make the whole experience fantastic and is really worth it.

Had a brief but fabulous evening here. Great food, wine and people. Even took a bottle of the white Rioja out with us it was that good. Definitely worth popping by.

Went in today and got chip butty with cheese...can safely say I won't be going back, the lad I went with got burger and chips with a can of pop. Instantly found a hair in his chips and then opened his can to find another hair stuck to the side of it. How this has good reviews I don't know!

Booked a table for 2 on new years day, confirmed via WhatsApp. My partner and I turned up to closed doors. We called to confirm whether or not they were open and told that no messages were left on their WhatsApp number and that they weren't open. To which, we saw they were online on WhatsApp after the call and no apology or message was received. Won't be bothering with this place again.

Another great experience at this resturant with amazing food and service and staff...5 stars
