Been coming here since I was a kid, no other place in Stoke can beat it! Friendly and kind staff, Fresh food....the best of the best! Cannot recommend enough.

Scallywags fish are delicious and his chips are not frozen chips.

Very very poor portions will not be going back would not recommend it thought I would go for a change I will stick with my regular chippy

Went in there today one of the women were so ignorant came home and the curry sauce was stone cold chips were so soggy and the batter sausage was not nice at all I won’t be going there ever again

Spent 31 pounds on lunch today, gave us 4 sausage when we asked for 2, 2 large chips when we asked for 1. Fish was disgusting they soaked it in vinger so by the time we got home it was falling apart and stuck to the paper. Chips weren't fresh and had clearly been cooked in dirty oil I know this as I've worked in numerous chip shops. The peas where a joke no flavour and not even cooked properly bright green and runny as water. Will not be going here again completely put me off 😒

I still think this place is a little gem of a chippy, I don't know what it is but I'm usually quite fussy when it comes to chippies. Food is always fresh and the chips are always golden brown on the outside and soft and fluffy in the middle, the burgers are to die for especially the beefburger, as for the fish it's never too greasy, the breaded fish is my personal favourite. Prices seem to have risen but that's like that everywhere at the moment. Staff are always friendly and very welcoming.

the best place for any kind of chippy stuff ever. old style chips which aint white soggy mushy sticks. the peas, gravy and curry sauce are heavenly. never had a single bad thing from here. also for the price it feels like theft. me and my mate go with a fiver n get 2 chip baps a lot of the time and come out with more money back than we spend out of that fiver. id pay 3x more for the food from here its that amazing and such an amazingly cheap price. thanks scallywags for making the best stuff

Been to scallywags for the second time and their fish and chips are amazing. Both my husband and I enjoyed every morsel and will definitely go back again and again- well done - the best in Tunstall :-)

Tom is very friendly and great staff. I was very fussy fish but Scallywags fish are fresh, tasty fish I never had before. I am recommending you should try.

Fish and chips just cannot be bettered in Stoke on Trent always cooked fresh but they don't always drain the fat from the fish enough when they are hurried. The other food is first class every time eat in or take away.never had any bad meals here.

Their chips, pudding & gravy is gorgeous. Steak & kidney puds lovely you can actually taste the kidney & have never found a piece of fat in them. Best in Stoke on Trent.
