This is the first time I've visited this place, pity. The place is clean and tidy, we didn't have any trouble getting a table. Service was good, staff very friendly. I had the Cajun Salmon with roasted new potatoes I will definitely be going back for more. Good size portions for the desserts as well. Only let down noisy children two tables down.

Not been for years ... excellent customer service and quality of food

I ordered 2 roasts at 12pm and they were delivered at 14.25pm and cold. I understand that it would be really busy, but to wait 2.5hrs and then have to microwave it so that it is hot, is a bit of a joke for the price i paid

Ordered at 13.30 - initial time said 14.10 which kept getting extended - finally delivered at 15.40

Quite disappointed in meal, sausages were dry as if reheated. Onion gravy very salty to my liking potato was dry as if it had been microwaved to warm it through..

Looking forward to a great evening based on past experiences! But what a disappointment! The fish pie was awful being very dry lacking any sauce. The jerk chicken (a breast) came in a very hot liquid sauce(more like a curry type sauce) which may have been more edible with rice(rather than chips). The beef brisket was virtually tasteless with the blue cheese overpowering the mashed potatoes. And the ‘skin on fries’ were just fries. The menu has obviously been revised since were last there(where is the salmon in a sauce?) but regrettably disappointing. And mid week price has been increased from £12 to £14 which would have been acceptable had we have received quality meals to match. I appreciate that the hospitality sector is facing challenges but this seems a step too far. Have no motivation now to re— visit.

Been there a few times now, every time the food has been outstanding and the service has been just as good! Friendly staff, great food and tonight I had the best jerk chicken I’ve had in my life here! And I’ve had a fair few!

Thought that I would try the bottomless brunch with a group of friends. The food was very tasteful and the service for the drinks was spot on. I would like to thank the staff, Olly, Bobbi, Katie and Paige for being very attentive and polite and looking after our group. They made us feel very welcome and we will definitely be back again soon.

Popped into Saxty’s for lunch and a couple of pints for lunch. The service was very friendly. The food was exceptional. All the food was hot, fresh, full of flavour and extremely tasty. The steak in particular was perfectly cooked and incredibly juicy. I would highly recommend a visit for food, plus the Guinness is good too ;)

The potatoes weren’t great, the chicken was tough and unseasoned. The cauliflower cheese was tasteless. The gravy... well I can’t tell you as that didn’t even get delivered. Had the Sunday lunch several times before and over time it has declined. Not worth the money and disappointing.

Lovely food, arrived hot & plenty to eat. Crackling on pork wasn’t crispy which was disappointing & the bacon on the pigs in blankets was more fat than meat…

Usually great service. But today hubby ordered pint of doom at. Looked like soup. Took back to change and the barman Andy was so rude. "what do you want me to do"??????? Change it perhaps. Should never been served in the first place. So had bottled larger 85p more. Shame as we are here weekly and service 100%

We went her today for a hen do, absolutely fantastic. Cannot fault the staff. The food was brilliant as per usual and the drinks were great. We had our 90 minute slot but we were not made to feel at all rushed! The staff were brilliant, they even had a little dance to entertain us!

Probably the BEST ribeye steak in Hereford! You need to get in there for the mid week specials! Fantastic food, and gorgeous cocktails! Fab menu to choose from! All beautifully presented! Sat in a calm relaxing atmosphere! 100% recommend!

Spolit by way too many drunk and petulant young girls, that really need help in understanding they are not the only ones in the room. And also that there are other people there that pay good money to be there also. Tip to staff, if nearly pass out drunk, dont serve them any more.

I can only assume that Saxty's don't get many customers actually collecting their orders as when I presented myself at the front bar I was sent on a magical mystery tour round to the (unmarked) rear fire exit. It only dawned on me later that I must have been mistaken for a delivery rider as they were a bit confused as to what order I was picking up. But we live 15 miles away well out of delivery range of anybody so had no choice and I wanted to give my parents, unable to go out to restaurants these days, a nice meal on my dad's 86th birthday and I have to say that the food was excellent and very well received by all.

Had a such lovely Sunday roast lunch today well worth another visit soon. Well done Saxtys keep up the good work 🤗 x

Great cocktails, nice atmosphere

A group of 6 friends enjoyed a meal last night. The food was excellent, staff were very friendly and half price on some of the cocktails. Really enjoyed it will definitely be back 😁

Quite posh, food looked ok , but wasn't eating, good service

No happy at all !! Pre booked our table of ten and when we arrived staff was not sure where we were seated. When seated waitress said it was table service for drinks but staff never asked once until we asked them 20 minutes later. Food came 1hr 15 min later after lots of asking.waitress reply was that the kitchen was very busy. Excuse me remember pre booked 🤔but then we still had to ask for salt, pepper etc. food wasn’t the best but ate some due to being hungry. Flat bread was burnt, bones in cod loin, spinach was missing and no flavour to the potatoes. Chips were disgusting burgers were not the best. One main didn’t even arrive at the table. To top it off there was a fly in my friends cocktail. Then when we asked to pay ( begrudgingly) it was another 15-20 for card machine and it wasn’t even busy. I guess staff were to busy standing around chatting. Complete utter disaster !! Never will I be recommending for anyone to go there. It looks like were not the only ones to complain after spreading the word about our amazing meal. NOT !!

I visited on Saturday about 10.30ish to find about 60 in the whole premises... So alas it didn't tally with the Facebook ad showing it fun and the place to be... It's a fantastic venue and deserves far better patronage than I found... I had a good time non the less...

Our 4th visit and will be our last , lovely food as usual but unfortunatly after just ordering our 3rd bottle of prosseco we were told by waitress we had 15mins to drink it as needed table was not informed of this when booking via email and people on other tables were not told same complained to manager who refunded last bottle but still unhappy customers who wont b back

Food is stunning . Worth a visit

Okay meal, prawn starter was a bit over cooked. Cook your own steak okay, but had to ask for butter to properly rest it. We booked for 6, but by 8 it was getting quite loud, perhaps normal for the venue and Friday night but I guess I was expecting more from the blurb on the website. Don't be put off, for a group gathering would be good, but not ideal for a romantic dinner for two. The cocktail menu and drinks offering was quite good, so for drinks I think it would be a good start to the evening.

Gorgeous setting and awesome food

A place you have to experience at least once. It really is a beautiful restaurant, cannot fault it at all, the bar alone is pretty astounding. Staff are incredibly attentive and excellent at their jobs food is on another level, be mindful that you will be paying for the quality but its definitely worth it. Oh and you just have to try their jam doughnut shots!

called in for just a drink on a quiet january week night while staying overnight in hereford. we were lucky that it was quiet and that there was time for a chat and we were blown away by the friendliness and professionalism of the manager. he was so enthusiastic and brimming with new plans and ideas it was so refreshing. even on a cold tuesday night there was so much warmth and welcome we cant wait to return and sample some food and a cocktail or two,

Great food, good choice on menu and very helpful\friendly staff, definitely worth a try.

Judging by other reviews we must have experienced this on a bad night. The staff were lovely but unfortunately the food was only a little better than appalling. We both had steaks which were so thin they could not be anything other than 'well done' despite asking for 'rare'. The whole meal (onion rings and chips included) was swimming in what could only be bisto gravy though it was called 'red wine jus' on the menu. It really was poor.
