What you order and what you get don't match at all in terms of food description.incredibly incompetent; sending the wrong dish & not sending a dish we ordered; extremely poor and not worth the money. We're never going to place another order with this Chinese. Different people have left different reviews on Uber Eats, Just Eat, and Google. It seem’s the more accurate reviews appear to be on Google. But even then they should be around 2 stars.

Real Cantonese food, dim sum, Sichuan food, sushi are all good. Chinese people like it very much. Thanks!

Writing on behalf of my partner who has spent the last 3 hours vomiting! Definitely suffering food poisoning and we are 100% certain it's from our meal from Savour. We've ordered plenty of times previously and have always really enjoyed the food. But clearly something has gone wrong. There's no excuse for this and we won't be ordering again. UPDATE: I am now responding to the owner's comment below as I cannot seem to reply. I'm afraid you have the wrong customer. I was not staying in a hotel, I was in my flat. We had no issues with delivery and did not request a refund. I'm simply putting this review here to inform you and warn other customers that I caught food poisoning from your establishment. Under no circumstances is this acceptable. I have been ill now for 3 days and unable to work. You don't have to care about me not purchasing food from your establishment again, but you should care about the health and safety of your customers. I have reported this incident to Environmental Health.

The curry had no taste and was mostly onions with very little beef. The rice had no taste, maybe some soy next time? Also, the salt and chili chips and chicken lacked enough salt and chili.

We ordered food at 7.40 on Tuesday the 13th of December eventually got food delivered at around 9.10 all food was cold not what you expect from a delivery take out 5 minutes from your house especially when it cost £27 for two people definitely wouldn't recommend try elsewhere for hot food

I'm going to echo previous reviews and say the curry is very watery and tasteless.

Curry very watery and had no taste, food arrived cold , salt and chilli prawns were freezing cold and rock solid, the best thing we ate were the fortune cookies. Do not recommend to anyone.

Brilliant food every time, almost fine cuisine if that applied to take aways! Really fresh, never greasy. The kitchen always looks clean, with friendly staff and quick orders. Favourites are spare ribs in gravy, chow mein, black bean and cashews. Recommend every time.

Quick and you get what you pay for I guess. I've not shopped there often but they seem to be up to standard.

Just ordered some dimsum from here, really good pronounced flavours, definitely coming in some day for more :-)

Saw a lot of good reviews so gave this place a try but was quite disappointed. Food was all really greasy, and the dishes that my partner and I had were both quite flavourless. I had the shredded beef with honey sauce but the beef was really chewy and all stuck together so it wasn't particularly pleasant to eat. Won't be ordering from here again..

Ordered wings and the chicken tastes like it’s clearly off, I’ve never been served such horrible and clearly off chicken, the honey chicken was fine but the wings must either be out of date or been left out the fridge for weeks. Literally had to spit it out, so disgusting.

Brilliant Chinese. Spent £50. So had quite a selection. Everything done perfectly. Crispy batter. Good quality prawns, beef, pork and chicken. Genuinely top notch.

Not had Chinese for so long and this place did not disappoint, from the very friendly service to the excellent food, enjoyed every last mouthful.

Really bad. Rice was bone dry and no flavour. King prawn curry was greasy and full of oil. Bland and boring. Would not recommend. Extremely quick delivery, so I presume that they just scoop from the buffet buckets and send. 🙄🤔

Very good service cooked as you watch. But be clear what you want. Appear to be back to their old self . Dogs bits. Best by far. Prawns 3to 4 times the size of anywhere else local.

Amazing Chinese! Tried others, but nothing compares to this one! Regular customer here, and it never disappoints. Salted chilli chicken is delicious, and the delivery is always unbelievably fast, and the food is piping hot. Great takeaway!

First time ordering from here, food arrived really quickly, less than 20 minutes, was piping hot and fresh, BBQ spare ribs were falling off the bone and all our other items were delicious. Will definitely order again.

AVOID! There was a two hour delay in the food arriving. We called the restaurant repeatedly to ask for an update and were told everytime the food was on its way. The driver confirmed when he arrived he had only picked up the food 20 minutes before arriving so clearly it wasn't on its way. Appalling customer service. And the food is mediocre at best. Soggy shredded beef. Soggy shredded chicken. Bland rice. Tasteless soup. SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE!

On the website I ordered spinach dumplings, no mention of nuts included. When they arrived I luckily cut one open and noticed nuts, after phoning the restaurant they confirmed peanuts were in them and I was disappointed at their lack of apology. They just said there was nothing they could do and even refused to offer me a refund. Very disappointed.

Order arrived over an hour later than estimated, couldn't get through to the restauraunt at all even though we tried dozens of times to call.

Ordered from here on Friday night and the food took two and a half hours to arrive and when it did it was cold.... wish I’d never bothered.

Have had a take away several times from here and always been very happy. Food has always been very hot and tasty. Tonight unfortunately not only wrong address also wrong order, we all know mistakes can happen. So we called them and they very kindly sent over another order. Can’t say fairer than that, .......... but get it right first time please!

One of the best Chinese takeaways North of Edinburgh

Food didn't arrive an hour after. Called to cancel, they hang up on me. No apologies, terrible customer service Update: Food arrived after 1hour and 40 minutes!! The driver didn't know it had been cancelled. Already had dinner from another place by that time.

After more than an hour I still hadn't received my food. I had called twice to get an update, the second time they hung on on me when I said it's been taking too long and I wanted to cancel my order after over an hour waiting for it - I live 3 minutes away from their place. There are so many options they could have turned this unpleasant situation around but they chose to go with the worst customer service possible. Never again for sure.

This place was great for fantastic tasting food and being nice and fresh. In March we had a takeaway and no one enjoyed it, some even commented on feeling sick but it could have been a one off. Had one on Sunday 21 and sadly the food has gone down hill drastically. I had my usual, king prawns and cashew nuts I did not find it very nice at all. Flavourless and I felt sick after eating it. Sorry Savour but I won’t be back, once is bad but twice, no way

Ordered food from this place , two hours later they claimed it was delivered even though it wasn’t, then when I tried to call they answered me and then hung up a few seconds later, this happened 3 times. The food never came in the end and so I ended up waiting outside in the freezing cold for 40 minutes for nothing. Now I am on the verge of starving to death, and have pneumonia. Cheers.

I've ordered from Savour numerous times and it used to be excellent. The last time I ordered, the food was cold when it arrived and we had to microwave it. We'd hoped it was just a blip, driver caught in traffic or something. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, we ordered again tonight. The order arrived 14 minutes later! There's no way food can be freshly cooked, packaged and delivered in that time! (We're at least 10 mins away from Savour). The food was hot in places, cold in others, sauce was congealed in one dish, so obviously reheated/microwaved. I'm not sure what's happened with the restaurant as it used to be great service/food, but that's the last time we're ordering from them :(

I've ordered from Savour about six times... the food is much better than other takeaways we've tried. The first few times I ordered through Just Eat, however the last couple of times I've ordered directly from the restsurant as they have an offer - order 6 times, 7th is free. Not sure if it's a coincidence, but the last couple of times the food has been luke warm and we've needed to reheat it in the microwave - really disappointing. Further to my earlier review (above) and the response from Savour, my review wasn't about the offer - it was because the food was COLD. I ordered again tonight via the internet and the food arrived just 14 MINUTES later (Newhaven to Leith Links including cooking/packaging time!!), so there's no way the food was cooked freshly! The food was hot in parts, cold in others and obviously reheated (congealed sauce in one of the dishes). It's such a shame - we've had some good meals from Savour in the past and I had hoped last time was a blip - obviously not :( REALLY disappointing.

We ordered on deliveroo on 1st January, the delivery was a bit slow but the delivery guy apologized and they gave us complimentary food. The food was hot and yummy, we will order again from them😁

Had a deliveroo order and I felt very ill for a day afterwards. Found a small piece of what looked like chicken bone in my vegetable stir fry with tofu which was disgraceful, I'm a vegetarian. Should be shut down.

Best chinese food I've ever had!

Disappointing food. Chicken and sweetcorn soup was sweet, as was the Kung Po chicken - why add sugar to these dishes? Meanwhile, Beef in Black Pepper and Honey Sauce was spicy, not sweet, and the Hot and Sour Soup was too spicy to eat. I've eaten hot hot and sour soup all over the world...including in Beijing and Hong Kong! Sorry but we'll not be back.

This is the only Chinese take out we order from Just Eat. If you are going to China for the food, save yourself the plane ticket and just order Savour. Everything is just done so right. I am in lust with the spare rib appetizer as well as the sweet and sour chicken. The batter light and fluffy, chicken moist and sauce a perfect blend of without being sickly sweet like a lot of other places. The dumplings were not heavy and blah but springy and tasty. I could go on but I don’t wanna seem like I have food issues. Needless to say highly recommended. Shay shay

You go through the process of an order, they say they are preparing and then shoot back a message 15 minutes later that they cancelled your order. This has happened twice. They should GET OFF DELIVEROO if they can't fulfill orders!!!

Always, clean, fresh tasting food from the Savour takeaway in Edinburgh. We are regular users and do not go anywhere else. We have tried most meals on the menu and they are all exceptional. They will change the set menu to dishes that you prefer.

We found this gem by chance and how pleased we are. Since then we have been back several times and we don’t go anywhere else. The food is always fresh, has a lot of nice spices taste and is cooked to perfection.They don’t skimp on anything and you really do need to savour the flavour.

I don’t normally like to leave bad reviews if I’ve only tried a place once but the food was truly awful and I haven’t felt right since. I ordered special fried rice, it was drier than the Sahara, flavourless and the meat was so questionable that I chose to avoid completely. There was once piece of “chicken” that I was convinced was a human tongue and the beef looked like something a barn yard animal had left behind. My partner ordered shredded chicken with honey sauce, it honestly looked like a wasp bike had been emptied into a pot of honey mixed with ronseal fence paint because it sure wasn’t chicken or honey. Duck rolls looked like toilet paper tubes and probably tasted the same. The cheapest, nastiest ingredients used, I cannot believe I paid over £25 for what we received. Safe to say we won’t ever be returning.

We thought our meal arrived late. Turns out that the delivery man just didn’t know my flat no. and waited 10 mins for us! Called and the restaurant made the order for us again and re-delivered it within the hour! Needless to say the food was outstanding too...

Not very hygienic , very dirty wiping sweet from head and then handling food containers etc and dissatisfied when I found a hair in my food , very greasy and oily and tastes nothing like other very good takeaways e.g. Ginger express ferry road. avoid at all cost ,try ginger express instead I would give no stars if I could

Having read numerous reviews that mentioned how good this place was we decided to order food from Savour and my Oh my, how disappointed I was. First the order took more than an hour and half to arrive and when it did arrive the food was bad( I ordered a prawn and sesame roll, savour chowmein and spare ribs.). The prawn rolls were soggy and totally soaked in oil with that old oil flavor. The chowmein had a decent portion but again was oily, and without any flavor or even seasoning. The spare ribs were good just as ribs, but I ordered the spicy salt and pepper ones and was no where near that. I had to toss the chowmein and spare ribs in a wok and add some seasoning to make them palatable. I would not try this place again.

Since moving to Edinburgh a few years ago, I’ve been looking for a good Chinese restaurant. Savour is the best that I’ve found yet! I’ve picked up food and it’s been timely and had it delivered a few times and it’s always been the same high quality.

Let me start by saying that the food was amazing. It got delivered in time, it was still hot and it tasted so good. Also, I ordered two mains and two sides and got stuff for free. The person who delivered the food was also very friendly. Basically, the best Chinese food I've had so far and I honestly recommend it. I don't have anything negative to say about this place. 5 stars and the best review is the least I can do. Thank you for the amazing food. :)

This was the most amazing Chinese takeaway I have ever purchased. The portions were well sized and the food was perfectly cooked and rich with flavours. If you have never tried ordering from this little takeaway do yourself a favor and do it. You will not regret it.

Was a bit sceptical about this when i saw the review on google but placed an order anyways because of the good ratings in just eat and hungry house, I made a great decison as now I have found the best Chinese in Edinburgh. I love Chinese food. I have been to a lot of Chinese resturant in Edinburgh and beyond. I rarely order takeawy as i prefer a sit in. But this particular take away order was fantastic for many reasons. I ordered chicken dumpling, duck roll,chickem chow min and mango pudding. It tasted delicious and was worth the money spent. Will definitely order again.

Went to Edinburgh in February and stayed in a hotel quite close to this takeaway and ordered something from this takeaway for dinner. Me and my hubby really enjoy it,one of the best Chinese we've ever had! Would definitely recommend this to anyone that's visiting Edinburgh:)

The food quality was amazing! The price was really affordable and you'll get those delicious pineapple custard roll if you spend £20! Me and my family really enjoyed their food, definitely would come if I get that chance to visit Edinburgh again!

Tried this place for the first time. Very limited take away menu and not very interesting either.Hard to pick something so went for chicken in a special chilli sauce. Not what I expected at all. Deep fried chicken with a lot of dried red chillies thrown on top. Do not expect to be returning.
