Good food, tasty, hot, delivered really promptly, around half an hour after I ordered and not overpriced. You can’t ask for more, honestly. I’ve been looking for a Chinese restaurant I can go back to and I really think this is it.

We asked for an 8 pm delivery. Arrived 7.20!!!!!!!!!!! The app continued to say it’s being prepared. Timings for food arrival from ‘ food for u ‘ often appear just a guess. GET IT RIGHT. NOT THST HARD AND CARE ABOUT YOUR CUSTOMERS

Food was good and still hot when arrived, but would have preferred to pay with cash but unfortunately didn't have that option

Two hours for a meal to get delivered! But still excellent quality, hot and delicious!

Food was delicious and great portion sizes. Unfortunately it was 45 minutes late though

Nearly 2 hours for really mediocre food.. chicken was really dry and chewy and everything was lukewarm

Worst Chinese we have had. All of our meals had practically the same gloopy sauce and it took us some time to work out what each dish was meant to be. Chow mein and Chicken and cashew nuts tasted the same apart from the cashew nuts. We ordered the “crispy” option instead of “soft” for the chow mein (which cost extra) and were expecting crispy chicken but instead received what looked like a heated but uncooked block of noodles alongside the dish (maybe this is a local thing??)

Great service, I had accidentally ordered to wrong address & restaurant managed to update & deliver to correct address. Food was excellent

Haven’t used the delivery services but takeaway from the shop is super fast and tasty. I keep coming back for the salt & pepper chicken and chips.

Just wanted something to eat after a long drive and day at work. Got chicken fried rice and spare ribs starter. I was full from the ribs. Plenty of meat on and slipped off the bone. Could do with some peas in the chicken fried rice and some egg. Nice

Yummy lemon chicken (loads of it!) Delicious seafood dish. Free prawn crackers and little veg spring rolls.

nice takeaway, made up very quickly. only feedback would say more prawn crackers in the portion as they were smaller than most places

Food was fine, probably would have been good, flavour was nice but it was cold so everything that should have be crispy was soft. The inital delivery time said 35-50mins, it took 2 hours.

Decent food, nice size portions

Had takeaway and we felt every dish was spot on and extremely tasty. Couldn’t fault any of it. I don’t understand why some of the reviews are bad, it’s some of the tastiest Chinese I’ve had in Edinburgh for years.

had a great meal from this place, the soup was unfortunately a bit bland / under seasoned, and the salt and pepper shredded chicken could have been crispier, however the duck and broccoli was lovely, and i really recommend the chicken satay skewers. Sweet and sour chicken cantonese style was great too, everything was still super hot when it was delivered so i'd definitely have a dinner from here again

Their chicken/egg fried rice is to die for. Very delicious.

Food is excellent and portion sizes are huge. If you really wanna take something on the go then go for salt n pepper chips and chicken meal deal. Best for bucks. Also different combinations plus different spice levels as per taste buds. Love the food every time.

we where really disappointed in our food this evening, lemon chicken was do hard and chewy ! the chicken fried rice was sticky with no veg other than a tiny bit of spring onion and little chicken tasteless! we've had good takeaways in the past from here but I wouldn't order again! very disappointed, kids hardly ate anything other than the chips which was the only thing they enjoyed.

The staff is very friendly and kind and helpful. The food was amazing. The Chiefs cooked the food very nice. this is the only Chinese takeaway I will go to.

Very tasty food. Portions are very large, so the portions are good value. The inside has a very nice aesthetic, with lots of cookware fashioned as decoration or to hold lighting.

I had never been here before and I was kinda nervous as I usually don’t like this type of food, but after eating the ribs and egg fried rice i decided that one day I will bring my whole family here as it deserves the recognition overall great food.

Best Chinese takeaway in Edinburgh,this is my local chinese,all food is freshly cooked and good portion size too!,never had a bad meal from here,the service is second to none,and always on time.

thai chilli chicken was nothing like thai food. don't get me wrong all the food was really good. Just disappointed in that one dish

The food was tasty, the kitchen was able to swap our sauce request on the battered chicken balls and actually they were some of the best I've had from an Edinburgh Chinese.

So disappointed. Literally used this as our go to Chinese takeaway for years. Straight up lied to us about an order going missing and didn't honour the delivery (After 2 hours and a phone call). Gutted as it's generally excellent but now can't be trusted.

Order from this place all the time. Ordered tonight, showed as delivered, waited two hours, told the printer never printed our order. Refunded and left at 23.30 with no food. Really poor.

We dropped in for a last minute meal, 20 minutes before close. Checked to see if it was ok figuring they would be wrapping up. The server welcomed us in to order takeout. Staff were amazing super friendly!! Definitely check the place out! Food was great! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The restaurant was advertising 30-45 minutes delivery time when I was looking at restaurants, then they gave me a delivery time that was at least an hour away. Then they were half an hour late relative to the already-delayed delivery time.

Soggy bin tasting and looking plain noodles. Fried rice is supposed to be old rice yet this is bin raked boiled rice. Bbq sauce is red and tasteless. Rank rotten

I wasn't quite sure if I wanted to order reading some of the reviews, but there were some very good ones and decided to give it a go. Perhaps I was lucky, but everything was flawless to me. Placed an order at 9:48, received confirmation my order will be delivered at 10:30. The delivery guy, very nice, was at my door at 10:30 though he phoned to check the address. The food was piping hot and delicious. Crispy shredded chicken with honey chilli and golden crispy king prawn with honey amazing. Egg fried rice and spring rolls delicious. Honestly, I can't say even one bad word. Delicious food and on time delivery absolute spot on. I even got the free prawn crackers. Will be definitely ordering again.

You call they say open uou dri e to the premises shut. They need to get their time of business open hours up on their website and letting people know when they are closed. Nothing wrong with their food if you can get them opened

Food never came! Rang back after an hour waiting and was told it would be another 45 mins, cancelled the order! They were terribly rude on the phone. I am incredibly disappointed with this service.

This is a fantastic takeaway, head and shoulders above the competition. Highly recommend. Some of the reviews here are just nonsense.

I've been a chef for 20 years, I've eaten alot of chinese food because I don't like to cook at home that much. and being ex forces I've travel alotall over the world. the meal that I just got (duck and salt and chilli chips) was probably the best chinese I have ever had!! give that chef a raise because I tell you what. You don't want him opening his own restaurant!! wow 👌 thank you. the delivery was quick and the driver was very curtoius.

Our order is over an hour late. I called twice and only after asking the order to be cancelled did they finally get a driver. Young girl on the phone was polite but won’t be ordering again.

I don't believe the bad reviews. Spicy Korean pork was the bomb tonight! And the king prawn fried rice is a regular favourite of mine. Not always 5 star but never below 4.

This is the first time I have ordered from food to go and I certainly wasn’t disappointed. It was lovely and I will certainly ordering from there again.

Ordered salt and pepper chicken with chips. Only got the chicken. I was happy with the amount of chicken given to me, however the chips would’ve been nice. Tasted good though and delivery was solid.

17 minutes late. Delivery driver asked us to come out to the car to get the order.

Worst chicken chow mein l have had. It was so dry and bland. The salt and pepper spare ribs was good. I ate that but the chow mein went into the bin

Great food. As soon as I ordered the time jumped to over an hour for delivery, which wasn’t great, but felt it was worth the wait in the end, will be ordering again for sure.

Beef was as tough as old leather. Meal and rice together so it was all dry. Never again. Waste of money went in bucket.

Food tasted great but I was confused as to why the black bean sauce with chicken came in the same dish as rice. It doesn’t say that in the menu so I ordered another side of rice. If it said in the menu it came already mixed with rice I wouldn’t have ordered it.

Ordered through this to order a large order said it would be estimated between 18:55-19.15pm, now I placed my order at 17.54pm which the time that was estimated to me was fine as its a Saturday night and can be really busy which is understandable totally. Now I called up at 19:28 asking where my order is and the person(woman) on the call was to be honest was rude communication was non-existent on her end was kept being putting on hold having to repeatedly say my address to her was on the phone with her for over 9 minutes and most of that time her was talking to the other staff members and being ignorant to me so by the end of the conversation my food wasn't even made. So i asked her how long would be food be she said another 20 minutes, From wanting it to get delivered I had to go collect my self this was now at 19.38 after the phone call didn't get my food until 19.50-55.

App said with driver.. called when an hour late to be told it would be another 20 minutes.

The “chicken wings” were in fact chicken drumsticks including a non descript piece of chicken! Called the restaurant for an update on the delivery and I was hung up on. Called back and spoke to someone just as unsympathetic blaming the delay on Just Eat. Customer service poor. First and last time we’ll be ordering from there.

I really don't know why this place has a panning on Google, it's legitimately good, perhaps it's the old 'when the chefs off, foods no good' ... A common complaint for small takeaways. Who knows?! But the Korean noodles, duck fried rice, and pork in black bean sauce were good, as was the salt and pepper wings. Like properly good. Shall go back.
