Superb family restaurant. Can’t fault the food and always so friendly and accommodating.

Whilst the owners of the restaurant are pleasant and friendly to customers, based on a recent takeaway dinner order, the eating experience is very poor. I say this having dined in the restaurant and had food delivered in the past, so have some context from which to compare - generally these experiences were good. However, in this instance I was extremely disappointed with the quality of the food, in terms of presentation and taste. It did not feel authentic to Greek cuisine and the overall flavours and look were, unfortunately, not at all appetising (Greek salad is not lettuce with two cherry tomatoes, feta and oregano; souvlaki is not grilled chicken pieces with 5 pieces of onion; Greek moussaka is not mainly potato with bechamel sauce). For reference, I ordered the meze for two, and based on this experience, I can’t recommend the restaurant. Unless more recent reviews improve, I’d suggest you avoid Santorini.

I have never been to a restaurant and felt so at home and cared for. The couple that run this place are amazing - so friendly, accommodating and couldn't do enough to help us. They really went out of their way. The food is INCREDIBLE and such good value. Please go here and support them - I would visit all the time if I lived near by.

If I had 1 meal to eat it would be here. The best restaurant in the area! Amazing food, really great price and the owners are so personable and friendly - a real hidden gem! The mix grill is my go to and the sausage is out of this world! Hand made Greek pastries for starter or dessert are also worth a try!

Amazing place to visit. Went to my friend Birthday party few weeks ago (around 40 people) and we all agreed that Santorini is the best local restaurant for food and hospitality. Thank you for looking after us and see you in February for another special birthday.

An absolute hidden gem that we are so pleased to have found. A magnificent family restaurant that is run with love for food and customers. Everything was delicious and well presented. We were not rushed whatsoever and were treated like long lost family. Highly recommend. Thank you for having us, we will see you again soon.

This restaurant is almost hidden. Go thru the door, and up the stairs, the cozy, warm, intimate atmosphere welcomes you. The food selection on offer, I found perfect - some restaurants tend to have too many choices, the menu here was just right. Tzatziki, gimme gimme gimme some more. I could’ve eaten this, with pitta bread all night. And Dolmades ( vine leaves stuffed with rice ) was something I wanted to try when I saw the menu, and it didn’t disappoint. If you’ve never been here, go on, give them a go. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed.

Maria and her Husbond who own the restaurant are lovely. I had the kleftico the lamb fell off the bone.the only thing was you had no source on it and didn't have rice which we always have when we go to greece all you got was saute potatoes and the lamb on my plate. The meze was nice and the desserts. They are situated on top of a shop so it's one big room, I liked it as it had the feel you were in a house in Greece. I would go back again and maybe try something different.

I visited Santorini with my Mum and Daughter last week. Wow what a lovely place, feels like you could actually be in Santorini (except for the cold weather). The decor is exactly like a little Greek restaurant. The couple that run it are very friendly, the chef came out to talk to everyone once he had finished cooking. The food was excellent, I had the Kleftiko, Mum had the moussaka and my daughter had the mixed grill - they were all delicious. I will definitely be back :-)

My son took me to the restaurant for a Mother's Day treat. It was perfect, food delicious (we had a Meze), Greek music quietly playing in the background, which meant that we could have a good catch-up. Owners and other diners friendly, a very pleasant ambience. We really enjoyed the experience.

Very disappointing, haven't been here in probably 10 years as last time we had a meal here we said we wouldn't come back......and we wish we hadn't bothered, limited menu, no atmosphere, same potatoes served with all the dishes and the driest Kleftiko i've ever tasted.

The food was lovely. Proper home cooked comfort food. The chicken moussaka was a stand out dish. The guy who runs it and does the front of house is great, it is genuinely like going to dinner in someone's living room. Will definitely be back.

Spent a great evening here with family, we had mezze which was terrific value. The only criticism I could make is that the portions were so generous we couldn't eat it all! Even that was catered for by the lovely owners who readily packed up our leftovers in takeaway containers. A little bit of Greece in Hazlemere!

Food quality was quite average. Very small portion size for the price. Not enough bread for quantity of hummus. It was very overpriced. Eg. £15 mixed grill 1 fillet of chicken, half a sausage, 2 small slices of pork, 4 small unidentified meatballs sat in a bath if grease and onions. Had high hopes but the price for the quality & quantity of the food was unacceptable. However I can say that they do offer a free size salad with the mixed meat grill which they did not charge for. I would also suggest that confronting a customer in an attempt to intimidate them in changing their review is probably not "best practice" when it comes to customer service.

Ordered a takeaway from here this evening, and will defiantly be ordering again, as well as visiting the restaurant! Great tasting Greek food, still piping hot! Would highly recommend.

I found this restaurant on Google after typing in Greek restaurants near me. I decided to book a table for me and my sister as we both love Greek food. The place is very hard to find, we drove past it two times and we couldn't find a parking space to begin with. We had a 5 month old baby with us and we had to carry his pushchair up the steps to the restaurant then carry the baby up. The layout looks like somebody's house with a small bar and a dozen tables in the main restaurant area. The female host was delightful, very chatty and very welcoming. We went for the meze which came out pretty quick. To start we had pitta and various dips, then a plate of halloumi, loutza, battered whitebait and spicy Cypriot sausage. We then had our main which was the chicken moussaka (which was soooooo nice), a Feta salad and soulaki chicken. I really enjoyed the food and it wasn't too much either, just the right about. The deserts were traditional Greek deserts which tasted pretty good. Overall, a good experience. 👍

Delicious food! The lamb on the kleftico was so tender, I've never eaten lamb like it. This restaurant is a rare gem, the family atmosphere is so welcoming. Its a pleasure to be able to support a local business too. We will definitely be eating there again

First time trying this place after wanting to visit for a while. I had the takeaway mezze and vegetarian option. The food was lovely, very tasty and generous portions. The vegetarian moussaka was delicious! I will look forward to visiting once fully re-opened. Would recommend.

I ordered by phone and collected the food. I'm very happy about the "Special Meze for 2" meal that I ordered, only a little bit expensive for the quantity of food received. The starters were really good, the mixed grill was nice but there were only 4 little pieces of meat and the moussaka was amazing and a good quantity! The dessert was delicious too :) Probably I will go back to the restaurant when it is open to eat in.

Really good takeaway last night. A friendly welcome on collection and I cannot fault the food. Maze and lamb were spot on. I’m looking forward to get back to the dining experience as soon as possible.

The set meze meal was nice especially the lamb kleftiko. If you can order direct with the restaurant it saves them 20% as that is how much “ just eat” charge. You can find menu on thereFB page as they don’t have a website.

We ordered a takeaway from Santorini via Just-Eat. Word of advice - call the restaurant directly to place your order. Just Eat are awful and the restaurant didn’t receive our order until over an hour after we placed it. When the restaurant did finally receive our order a gentleman called immediately to apologise and explain the issue. He got our food to us as fast as possible and with a complimentary bottle of wine - despite the mistake not being Santorini’s. and when the food arrived it was genuinely delicious - great variety and full of flavour. As others have said, the lamb was amazing. Will definitely order from Santorini again, but not via Just Eat!

I really fancied something different to the usual takeaway this evening. The mezze for two sounded perfect plenty of choice and my favourite dish lamb kleftico. Delivery was on time although a long wait food was all hot and fresh and really tasty. Portion sizes were massive :) My only disappointment was my kleftico was missing it’s potatoes :(

Well I had intended to try this place before lockdown but never got around to it as I usually go to eat in London.Well no food in the house and I found out they were doing takeaway lead to a random order.Now when it comes to Greece after a lovely trip and an amazing taverna I am stupidly fussy. 6 top rated Greek resteraunts have been good at best and usually pretty bad.This place however is insaneBest kleftico I've ever eaten, insane baklava, great portions etc.I will be here monthly at the least!!!Bare with the owners as they aren't social media savvy hence the bad web presences and delay on takeaway and adapting to post covid service. Dont let this be a detractor it really was the best meat I've ever eaten!!!

Just had a takeaway from here. Truly amazing. Best lamb I've ever had. Better than in the tavernas of Greece!!!! Will be a regular place! Bare with the owners they are only just getting on social media etc! Best greek food outside of Greece!

Booked a table for 6 for friends and family. Greeted by Maria who makes you feel completely at home. I went for the meze which was excellent and covered all the bases including dips, salad, fish and a whole spectrum of meat dishes from excellent spicy sausage through to the lamb which was melt in the mouth delicious. Lots of contented noises coming from the rest of our table. At £20 a head this was excellent value. All washed down with some lovely retsina wine. A great night out with lovely hosts. Thank you Maria and Fred.

Family Greek traditional restaurant. Everything is homemade and delicious. Quick service, friendly atmosphere and good prices. A place totally recommended.

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. Unless you want to tick off your bucket list the worst restaurant you have been to in your life. If it wasn’t for the price this place would be a good comedy experience like Fawlty Towers but without the comedy.

The best! My family and I have been coming here for 18 years and love it still! The food is delicious and Fred and Maria are brilliant hosts.

I booked a table for Saturday 29th August over a week ago which was confirmed by the restaurant. I called the restaurant yesterday to see if I could change the time but I couldn't so we agreed to stick to the original time that I had booked before. The lady on the phone said to me "ill see you tomorrow". We arrived at the restaurant on time to find the door was locked. I tried calling the restaurant and it went to voicemail..I tried several times to call the restaurant and waited outside for 15 minutes. We walked to this restaurant in the wind and rain, really looking forward to our meal after hearing good reviews. I definitely will not be visiting here in the future.

My husband and I have always wanted to try this restaurant and last night we did. The food was amazing and authentic. The owners were kind, friendly and attentive. We will be going back sooner rather than later. Next time we will take our children.

Visited Saturday night, although very quiet we enjoyed lovely authentic Greek food and the owners were very friendly.

Nice atmosphere and Greek hospitality. A good place to dine. Fair prices and original Greek food. Even for a Saturday night the service was good and the music easy to listen. The location is good too. Easy access.

Five of us had a special occasion dinner at this jewel of a restaurant. The service is friendly, the food amazing, and the price very reasonable. I do so recommend this place.

As a Greek person I find that the usual fare of Greek restaurants are all about bland interpretations of our food.Coming here this is like having dinner with my Greek family. Lovely people happy to chat and treat you like you belong with the foods cooked beautifully. I have been here several times and usually bring only the important people in my life because its by far an away the best Greek restaurant I have visited in England - a little home from home. Go - you wont be disappointed and you will fall in love with our food.

Took my wife for a surprise Christmas meal. We had a warm welcome and the atmosphere was cosy and typical Greek ambiance. We ordered the Meze and each dish was delicious. This was followed by a rather calorie filled Greek pudding and Coffee. A loveley experience all round. Thank You!

no star restaurant but can't select zero. The worst Greek restaurant I've ever been to. Like walking into someone's house as you go up the stairs and then being stuck in the eighties. Had the set mezedes between 3 with a chicken dish for my wife. The humus was oddly dry, the potato salad for some reason had tuna it and neither tasted like potato salad or tuna. and the other dips also disappointing. Meanwhile the meat mixed grill that came later was just dry and overcooked (fried rather than char grilled) . Dessert came in the form a typical Greek dessert called.... chocolate cake... warm direct from the microwave. won't be going back.

We went for meal on Saturday evening. Maria owner was so nice,she explained the dishes and catered for our needs as 1 couple in group were vegetarian. All the dishes are authentic Greek, and testy which were freshly prepared by Fred - great cook. We all opted for 2 course set menu meal. Glad we did because the portions are so big, we couldn't finish the main course. 3 course would have been definitely too much.Between each course we had time to digest and chat, there was no rush to serve us and get us out of the restaurant.The deco is like original Greek place, Nice relaxing atmosphere. After meal both Maria & Fred spent time talking to us. Great Hosts.One of the best place to go for genuine authentic Greek food. I would return for sure and highly recommend this place.

We had a fabulous mezze here at Santorini. The food was delicious and all freshly cooked. It felt very authentic within a really homely, cozy enviornment with the sweetest hosts. A great restaurant and i would highly recommend!

An authentic Greek restaurant which has been in existence for decades. Nothing fancy or exceptional, just simple Greek food, cooked well and with an attentive owner. Don't expect anything fancy, but good value for money.

We took friends last night who had not been before .

Not too good. It was my 70th birthday meal and took over two hours before we saw the main course. The waitress seemed to be very nonchalant when I commented about the delay, which really wound me up. They apologised but we were not offered any reduction to our bill even as at late time we couldn't finish our meal comfortably. Shame on you Santorini!

I went there with my girlfriend and we loved it. We went to Cyprus in the summer and loved the Greek meze there so wanted to try find a Greek restaurant back at home. It’s fair to say we was not disappointmented. The decor is brilliant and it was like we was back in Cyprus! It is run by a Greek couple and they was very welcoming and presented the food as they did in Cyprus. We went for the set menu and there was plenty of food and was delicious. The white wine was spot on as well! I was very surprised with the price of the bill at the end, it was very good value for money. We are glad we have found this little gem and we will be returning. Can’t recommend it enough!

Just a lovely meal out in intimite surroundings with perfect hosts! The food was lovely and very reasonably priced...a must for couples in need of a nice date night. Also would be great for functions. A one of a kind in a world of chains.

A quiet little place, above a shop in Hazlemere. We visited because it was in walking distance of our B&B; and the nearby pubs didn’t look up to much!

Staff was lovely and friendly. Food was of very poor standard, lacked presentation and didn't taste like the greek food we know and love. We were disappointed!

I organised a men's meal out for 38 chaps from Kings Church Amersham on Monday 5th March 2018. We ordered their excellent meze which included pitta bread and 4 different dips, stuffed vine leaves, smoked bacon, grilled halloumi, spicy sausage, greek salad, lamb kleftico, grilled chicken and pork.

...If you want good food, and a warm, cosy, and homely and truly authentic Greek atmosphere, this is the place to be!

Took an 1 hour and a half to get starters and a drink. The soft drinks are not from tap or individual bottles. Infact it is a 1.5 litre bottle left out of the fridge, hence why my drink was not fizzy and extremely flat and warm. Very over priced for the few bits of dry chicken chunks (under seasoned) and grilled holloumi . The sautéed potato's were more like sliced fried potato's with dried rosemary scattered on them. Atmosphere was abysmal, it was basically a converted living room, kitchen the size of a bathroom with the fridge on the landing whilst you walking upstairs to the actual seating area/restaurant. Family run business wife and husband. Wife looked very underdressed, unprofessional and grumpy. All is all, I hope this place gets shut down and replaced with a good Thai place or zizzi's.

A very late review but we just wanted to say a big thank you for our lovely meal back in July ( if I remember correctly ). The family were so welcoming, some really good food and they were so fabulous with our 9 month old son. We are looking forward to returning when we can get together as a family again !
