Santinni in County Durham

Visited Santinni restaurant with my family and was pleasantly surprised. The external of the property isn’t the best, but once you enter you can see the care and pride that is taken in the restaurant. The environment was welcoming, the staff were polite, professional and very knowledgable. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Then we get to the food, it was outstanding. It was fresh, cooked perfectly and very enjoyable. We will return

We were seated for about 25 minutes before the drink order was taken They apologised and gave us a free round of drinks We never complained, but many thanks for the gesture The food was really good My steak should've been medium it came well done However it was so tender and tasted beautiful If they can sort a few tweaks this restaurant will be awesome

This is Our 2nd Visit to this Amazing Restaurant, Without Writing A Novel i Just Wanted to Say that the food, Service and Staff are Exceptional. Absolutely Love the Blue Lagoon Cocktails. Will be Returning in the Near Future. 5 Stars All The Way

Went for lunch staff were amazingly attentive (Toni and Owen) food was excellent can highly recommend the sizzling Cajun chicken (wow) had Irish coffee afterwards again really really good if your ever nearby please pop in you won’t be disappointed

Just in before discount ended, gr8 starters, pot skins& mushrooms, then ii added chicken to my carbonara, then we shared a peperoni pizza, & he had lasagne. We ate the lot! Food is always outstanding,& service gr8

Took a group of 26, 4 adults and 22 girls aged 10-17. Right from the first enquiry, everyone was so accommodating. Allergies, intolerances, and preferences could all be catered for withou5 issue. When we arrived, the area was set, and the staff were their usual helpful, happy selves, even with the prospect of a noisy group to serve. Fiona, Owen and the young guy in white top (I'm so sorry I didn't catch his name) were all so lovely to the girls, we really couldn't have asked for a more hospitable welcome. We had a fabulous night, the food was amazing as always, thanks to the team in the kitchen for that. I really cannot say enough how grateful we are for this place, its one of my favourite places to eat anyway. They even managed to accommodate take aways for jealous husbands and parents! Thank you Santinni! 10 stars!

This is place is absolutely beautiful. From the decor to the brilliant staff with out of this world food.

Wow .. what an amazing little place !! Food was incredible and staff were so attentive and friendly xx The 3 members of staff are a credit to you .. lovely guy behind the bar .. Leah our host and a young lady on her third shift ! Literally couldn’t do enough for us x We had two of the specials , goats cheese and mushroom and fillet steak with Parma ham ! Wow !! Just wow The mussels were too die for too ! So fresh ! I’m sad that this is so far away from home otherwise I would be here every week x Keep up the good work guys !!

Visited Monday for my birthday. Staff were extremely attentive and friendly. The food excellent. It is rare you can go out and enjoy food as they served. Enjoyed every minute.

Went for lunch today sep 13th really enjoyed it , quite busy the service we had was really good , others may say different as there were only two staff members one which was new and just learning the ropes , as we were leaving some people on a table decided to leave as they had waited to long for service and were complaining to the two young staff members , all I can say is that these two kids were doing their best despite being busy it wasn’t their fault , if anybody is to blame it’s management for not making sure their was enough staff on . I felt really sorry for them they couldn’t apologise enough to these people but it seemed to fall on deaf ears .

I went for the first time to this restaurant with my sister and 4 of our friends and we all thoroughly enjoyed the food and the friendly service we received. It seems to be a hidden little gem. The restaurant was busy but the staff were still always very attentive. We will all definitely return to Santinni's again and I strongly advise you to try out this place.

We have just eaten at Santinni before we go to Kynren. We arrived earlier than our reservation and they accomodated us. The food was delicious and service was good.

What a little gem..the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about what they are serving. Our experience was fantastic and food was superb. First time ordering a takeaway from here and certainly won't be the last! The food arrived hot and on time. Everything we had tasted beautiful ( the carbonara is to die for!) You also get a big portion with each choice, so much so we were all still full the next day! After trying a takeaway, we will definitely be visiting the restaurant soon!

Its puzzling given the reviews would suggest an excellent culinary experience but the experience was mixed. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the house white enjoyable.The Risotto Salmone was good but the pepperoni pizzas were not great. It tasted like the ingredients weren't fresh and more processed so not enjoyable which dampened what l hoped would be a great birthday experience.The fact that the pizzas weren't great was mentioned when asked if the food was okay but said rather than complain said we would put it down to a mixed experience not to be repeated. You win some you lose some as they say!
