Room was clean bed was decent towels were sketchy some brown stains on them but other than that was ok I'd use it again

Clean and tidy. Meals cooked to order staff friendly and approachable always willing to help. A good base to stay at if travelling around area.

Excellent check in. Clean and comfortable, quiet room, at a good price. Breakfast was good quality and served piping hot. Great service and check out from Fiona. Would recommend and would definitely return.

A good sized room, very quiet and a very comfortable bed. Only downside was how slippy the bath was.

We had a lovely stay, our heating wasn’t working but the night porter instantly fetched us a plug in heater. Our room was clean and spacious but the highlight for us was the delicious cooked breakfast which was served to us by Cristina she was absolutely delightful, so cheerful and helpful on both days, we actually looked forward to seeing her the next day. She is an asset to your hotel. She made my children feel so special and has the most infectious smile and demeanour.

Hotel is ok having plenty of free parking. Rooms were spacious, clean and well stocked with the usual tea, coffee, bathroom gels, etc. But the mattress was VERY hard. I swear that, if the carpet had got a decent underlay, I would have been more comfortable on the floor!! Was only there for one night so didn’t bother requesting another room. Check in procedure was good with friendly receptionist.

Comfortable spacious room, if slightly dated in decor. Bed was large and not too hard or soft. Only 2 sockets, nowhere near the bed though. Decent size TV. Bar food was good, hot and arrived quickly. Menu choice was a little small though.

Staff here doing a great job very clean inside and outside food here very good was made to feel welcome by everyone will definitely visit again .just one minor observation maybe think of updating the bar area i.e seating to be more comfortable and local ale on sale. Thanks again

Even though the room was clean & spacious and breakfast lovely. This morning while having a shower I realised there was no body wash, then later there was no hand wash. I think the hotel staff should check the room properly before guests arrive . 28/7/19

Very thin walls, overpriced food. Ordered stuff crust pizza for £11 and was given a £3 Chicago town frozen pizza!

Absolutely brilliant staff. Fantastic room and facilities. Incredibly comfortable bed. Well located for visiting derbyshire attractions and the towns of Chesterfield and Dronfield.

The hotel is good, room was clean and spacious enough. Staff are brilliant. Breakfast was very good but not too much to choose from. The only downside was that restaurant didn't work on Saturday night.

Sandpiper is a budget hotel...very basic you get what you paid for.

Went back in January. The food was just microwave food. They didn't make my mums main meal so when we asked for it the staff made her feel stupid like she hadn't ordered. Then when they brought her food out, instead of putting it on the table theh threw it down so she got covered in gravy.

Stayed here overnight.staff were very friendly.room was large and clean but had the slight smell that it had been recently painted?.had a television and hot drinks making facilities.bathroom was big enough but the shower needed updating,it only dribbled water and was very difficult to get the right temperature!.

I booked this hotel as it was the nearest to where I was working this particular week, I spend most weeks in hotels for my work all over the country and I felt the need to leave feedback. BAD POINTS FIRST- the bed had been repaired with thin ply wood but was still dipping. No headboard on bed that moved on laminate floor so pillows ended up slipping down the back. The plugs and phone jack was directly where your head is so you keep catching your arms on it. But the worst problem was hairs In my bed , long ones and curly ones plus tobacco in sheets and pillows smelled and where to hard as was the mattress that resulted in bad night sleep. Maybe I caught it on a bad day but sadly I won’t be staying again

I had an upstairs room at the front where it was overlooked by houses directly opposite. However it was very clean and we'll serviced and the reception staff were really very nice and very helpful. All in all a great place and highly recommended.

Substance over style. Dawn and Christina especially showed common sense rather than simply using the usual hotel chain playbook we've become so used to. Will stay here again I'm sure

My wife and I, along with another couple stayed at your property recently. We were pleasantly surprised at the wonderful service from check in to check out. The price per room was very reasonable, the service and quality of food in the restaurant was first class. Should we ever find ourselves in the Chesterfield area again we will not hesitate to avail ourselves of the Sandpiper Best Western.

Avoid this one. The reception was deserted when we came to check in. Had to go and find a member of staff. The standard of cleanliness in the room wasn't great. Towel rail was loose in the bathroom and the furniture and beds were worn out. Water tricked out of the cold tap. Told reception when we checked out about these issues and didn't seem even slightly interested. Not worth the money.

Great value. Even though there was a Christmas function on we were not distributed at all. Would recommend.

Well, the check in went ok then finding the room was a bit confusing. The room was ok but not that clean. Heating in the room is not enough but if someone like being in cold than it's perfect for those. The room has the basic staffs but be careful with the bed because it's on wheels. The hotel staff is not the greatest. Breakfast was ok nothing special. They forgot my order so I did get it last. Location is good for parking but if you are looking to eat or drink something than it's far away from everything.

Hotel is like Fawlty Towers. Mismanaged, tired and clearly in need of new management. Clean enough and for £45, what can you expect?

The employees at the Sandpiper are very pleasant and helpful, the quality of the food from the restaurant was high and tasty. The room quality was clean & tidy but the standard of the bed was similar to sleeping on a sardine tin, awful. Refurbishment is necessary especially some doors on the cupboards.

Stayed here on Saturday night along with family and friends so we could attend evening wedding party at a nearby golf club...reception team are welcoming and friendly arranging taxis and managing the bar ECT Our room was a double very clean and spacious although I found the double bed rather small but then again with my super king all doubles are small..noise from main road was a bit much but friends on other side said it was quiet...as we were told there was a bar and restaurant we hoped to get something to eat at 5 before we all went out but restaurant didn't open till 6 so had to order takeaway when it arrived we were told we couldn't eat downstairs we had to go to our rooms...10 adults 2 kids in our room the only thing I could do was put towels on the bed and all tuck in..not good really We payed £7.50 each for breakfast but on reflection as it was very late when we returned this turned out to be a bad idea I had fruit husband had everything daughter in law had 2 sausages and son had coffee (hang over)

Good size room, full English breakfast, easy parking all round good place to stay for Peak District visit.

Had a one night stay on the 26/9/18. The room was a decent size & lovely & clean. Bed was lovely & comfy. I just had a few niggles. All through the night I could hear water running & there was a green light in the room that lit the room up. The people staying in the room above me were very loud. I would stay here again because it's really clean. I'd ask for an upper floor room next time though.

The noise from the pipes when other residents were running the taps in the bathrooms was ridiculously loud. Kept us awake. But saying that. .the hotels surroundings were lovely and quiet even given its close proximity to the Dronfield bypass. Nice clean rooms and definitely would use again . Just try and sort the plumbing as it shouldn't be that loud :)

Second time I've stayed here. The last time was four years ago and this time was just as good as the last.. Very clean, excellent sized rooms with brilliant ensuite and the showers are super powerful. All at an excellent price. Can only recommend the place and say it's definitely value for money.!!

Worst hotel I have stayed at. The website does not reflect the accommodation. Rooms were very poorly furnished and dank, despite it being a glorious day outside. I tried to book out after making the complaint and was only refunded part of my payment. The receptionist was not surprised. Could not possibly recommend.

Spent 1 night here. Rooms are very large and it's good value for money. Everything in the room was neat and tidy.

They went above and beyond for breakfast when I informed them a few days in advance of my allergies.

Nice size rooms. Not walking distance too town. Nice meat platter there and the beef burger is homemade. Fosters is £3.75. For a common tasteless larger I find that very exaggerated price.

The room was gloomy but the restaurant and bar were passable. Drinks were a bit more than we were used to paying for but it is a motel.

Staying here for 3 days. Hotel staff lovely, friendly, rooms are great, clean, tidy, showers amazing, food is good quality big portions. Can't fault this place

Very good for the money and the service is fantastic. In fact the hotel is located in prime area along Sheffield road .Chesterfield.

I was there for a private party so can't comment on the accommodation but the function room was a good size and the bar prices were reasonable. The staff were very helpful.

The staff are very professional and helpful. The food is excellent and the facilities are all you need either for a quiet evening out or a sleep over.

Wonderful Christmas Lunch today (1st December 2017) lovely facilities, excellent service, very good food by Chef, 27 ladies enjoyed a really nice afternoon. A big thank you to The Sandpiper. Inner Wheel Club of Chesterfield.

First time here but will certainly be coming back. Could not find a fault with anything. It was clean the food was lovely the price was right. Should be advertised more to let other people know about the hotel.

Held my 70th birthday dinner in the Chesterfield Suite. Everything was perfect. The staff were helpful and professional and the food was excellent. All my guests and I enjoyed the evening very much, and I will definitely be returning to the restaurant.
