Muy pobre comida vegana. Puré de salchichas y salsa. Acabo de calentar x cosas congeladas. El gusto era soso. Tardó más de 25 minutos en llegar y parecía terrible. El Guinness era bueno

Visité la Universidad Hull para mostrarle a nuestra hija todo el lugar, como tú. El Santuario era una buena razón para que cualquier estudiante eligiera Hull Uni. Es un pub Wetherspoons y como tal hay todo tipo de bebidas baratas y comida en oferta. ¿Qué más podría querer cualquier estudiante interesado? Con un poco de iniciativa pueden terminar sirviendo en el pub mientras son interesados. La comida servida por uno de esos estudiantes egoístas era muy sabrosa, de hecho, una buena fiesta para ser perfectamente honesto. Disfrutamos mucho de la comida y nos dio suficiente sustento para arar a través de las dos horas de aburrimiento - festival que siguió mientras recorríamos la universidad. Me encantó el pub, me gustó la universidad. Nuestra hija eligió Derby.

seems badly run as a Wetherspoon since the overhaul doesn't include things that menus at other Wetherspoons have. staff seem sad and fed up. order has been wrong multiple times things missing which were paid for. just very mediocre service.

No alcohol in our mixers. Took almost an hour to get our drinks. Management has gone down hill. 0/10

Visited Hull University and called in to Sanctuary. Service was good, food not so pretty ordinary. Sorry but will try elsewhere on future visits.

Me and my friends come here now and then and always hope it will improve but unfortunately it does not. The first time we came we waited an hour and a half and was nearly late to our lecture and it wasn’t even that busy. The second time we had our food brought out whilst there was no cutlery available so waited five minutes for that to be given to us. And this time I had no knife so had to eat my meal with two forks which isn’t good enough. I was not impressed with the waiter telling me “I will have to wait five minutes”!? Why give me my meal then? He was very rude and blunt. My friends burgers looked ridiculous.. the burger was small compared to the bread bun. No effort put into making it. Although my meal was okay it has put me off going again. Will go to pub across the road from now on.

For some time now I have been promising myself a meal in the Sanctuary bar for students at the University of Hull. Having graduated in History in 2012 and now working as an independent researcher, I must admit to never having had a meal in the Sanctuary before, so shame on me but today was my chance and I am pleased to say that I was not disappointed. I ordered Fish & Chips, garden peas with bread & butter & a Mocka, all for a total cost of just £8.45, which I considered to be very reasonable indeed. This is a typical student establishment, not 5 - star of course but more than sufficient to meet the needs of most students. The atmosphere was pleasant, certainly not overcrowded, even though it was 5pm when I arrived. The barman was most obliging too when I ordered my meal. So my overall rating for this establishment: QUALITY: Well-cooked large piece of cod which was good and hot. However the chips and peas could have done to have been hotter as they were only just warm. QUANTITY: Certainly adequate for my digestive needs. PRESENTATION: Seems they don’t have waiting staff, so therefore they are saving money, but the meal was pleasantly served by the barman. COST: Very reasonably priced at £8.45, just as one would expect from a student eating institution. AMBIENCE: A refurbishment appears to have taken place here but I am not sure exactly when. However, I was most delighted with the comfortable seating and well - designed surroundings. RECOMMENDABLE: Yes, I will go back again. Fishy Steve. Fish & chip reviewer.

Myself and two friends met at Sanctuary to discuss plans for our society for the following term, over some food. I have a food allergy so it can be tricky for me to find something to eat, but I did find a few, sadly they didn't actually have any of those meals in. I ended up with just a plate of chips while everyone else had a proper meal. On top of that, I had to pay for tomato sauce to put on my sixth meal option. However, it's always a nice atmosphere and the staff are friendly. Just please sort out having most of the menu available.

I visited Hull University for a drama festival, and all I can say is that I am very jealous of the students there. The food was hot, very tasty and cheap too, the staff were happy and friendly. It was a brilliant experience.

Visited Hull University yesterday for one of their open days. Walked around the SU at lunchtime and decided to stop for lunch. Wide selection of beers and ciders as you would expect at a student bar. I ordered fish and chips which came with a bit of salad, peas and tartar sauce. My wife had a shortcrust pie containing spiced vegetables and falafel. My son had a cheese burger and fries. It took a while to arrive but it was worth waiting for because it was all surprisingly good. So probably not a deciding factor when choosing a university but the fact that the Union bar serves good quality food at a reasonable cost is a definite plus.
