Sanchan’s is the best local Thai restaurant in Beeston, hands down. The prices are reasonable, and I've been a loyal customer for years, also frequenting their other establishment, Sukho Thai. John and his family are always friendly and welcoming, making every visit enjoyable. The food is simply amazing—my favorites are the pad gra prow and jungle curry. The dishes are authentic, healthy, and there's such a variety that you’ll never get bored. Highly recommended!

The most wonderful Thai restaurant around... we have been visiting as a family for years as a family and with friends and have never been disappointed !! A lovely selection of starters and mains - just a shame we never get to pudding as we are too full. Go - you will not regret it !!

Just called in last minute for a quick lunch. Made very welcome. Superb food.

Long story short service is very good, we had phad Thai and Tom yum which were not very tasty 6/10 and the starter chicken satay brilliant. Prices are very high for what they actually offer ,that's my opinion

I loved their Pad Thai and Green Curry. Pad Thai came with a generous amount of chicken, very flavourful and not too sweet. Highly recommend! Portion of green curry was quite small, but the flavours have definitely hit the spot, loved its spiciness. Will definitely return to try more of their dishes! Be aware that lunch is cash only!

Avoid! We went there for lunch, I ordered my main dish with chicken, I had one bite and it tasted horrible (most likely gone off chicken), the rest of the food was barely a 3 out of 5, I mentioned to the waiter on our way out that the chicken was inedible, for which his response was okay, didn’t even bother to apologize.

Went in for lunch and the food was amazing, as usual. This time we decided to try something new and had salmon and duck. We don't go to Beeston very often these days, but Sanchan's is always worth the trip, even if it's just to pick up a takeaway. The owners are lovely, service is usually fairly quick, and the food never disappoints.

Fantastic no frills Thai restaurant with reasonably priced, and top quality food. John is very knowledgeable and a great help. Very relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. I would recommend a visit and will be back to work my way through the menu

It only costs 9 pounds for lunch. The red curry tastes good but the portion is small and there are not many seats in the restaurant.

Edit. Visited again yesterday. Boss gets 1/10 for film casting knowledge. It was Paul Edward Valentine Giamatti by the way, and we caught the bus ok. But more importantly food gets 10/10 as usual Excellent food, service and price not too bad. Wine a bit pricey. Service friendly and very efficient. Best of all the food was great

This Thai food restaurant is really good for their food. We ordered red curry duck, pad Thai (the beef is a bit dry) and Thai mixed starter tonight. Good taste and we like it much. Recommended for Thai food lovers.

We visited on a weeknight, so didn't expect it to be busy, and it wasn't. Service was very good, and we received a warm welcome. We shared two starters and had a main each plus two soft drinks each. The bill was quite high - £61 - more than we usually pay for similar meals. Starters were good, and my friend's main was also good. Unfortunately my main, a tamarind sauce, was really bland - something I never thought I'd say about Thai food. There was a large menu and most dishes were available as vegetarian. There is free on street parking nearby.

Told the waitress the Tom Yum soup was salty and flavourless albeit at the end of the meal as to not spoil the occasion before finishing. Only tried a bit and left the rest but received no apology or offer of a refund. Her response was to say "ok" and no concern for the fact it was handed back 2/3rds full. When the bill was received I was surprised to be charged for the soup after bringing it to their attention that it wasn't nice. Manager (guy in his 50s who I suspect is the owner) eventually came over and gave me what I can only describe as a "death stare" after we refused to pay for the soup and just said "what"?? to our faces. At that point things turned very sour as I wasn't happy at being spoken to in such a confrontational way and made him aware of this. Even so he carried on arguing with me and failed to take any responsibility for the food that had been served. The restaurant was empty as it was almost closing time so I assume he thought he could get away with being rude to us! I pointed out there had been no apology to which he replied "do you want me to grovel"? The level of disrespect was off the scale. We got treated like we were scamming them even though it was the cheapest item we bought. Couldn't believe he felt it was acceptable to react in this way to a customer who was still paying over £50, just because I wasnt happy paying for a tasteless soup. Thai food and Tom Yum should be bursting with flavour, galangal, chilli, lemongrass etc. All I could taste was salty water with a tiny hint of tom yum flavour. Basically they'd not used enough paste and tried compensating with salt whether by mistake or to save money who knows...? If you pay for your meal expect an ok service/experience. If however you decide to complain about something, be prepared to get spoken to like a piece of dirt! Was basically made to feel I don't know what Thai food should taste like (despite the fact I've eaten Thai food hundreds of times). "That's your opinion...." I was told. Perhaps not though as there's another review on here critical of the Tom Yum soup. Despite the soup, I was prepared to eat there again until the manager behaved like that as I did enjoy the Som Tam. He needs to go back to customer service school. The restaurant lost two customers today because of the manager's attitude. Real smart for the sake of a £7 soup that genuinely was substandard!

Love this place! Found it several years ago while on works training and pop by when I can. Proper Thai food, owners really warm and welcoming. Food is delicious and fairly priced. Will be back

Helpful and nice staff; this is my first time to eat Thai foods; I can’t say anymore. This restaurant gave a good impression on the first attempt. I tried duck kang dang (red curry) with jasmine rice and pineapple juice. The curry is savoury, and the meat is tender, but I don’t really like jasmine rice; it's a bit hard for me.

I love Thai cuisine. Sanchan's Thai is the best Thai I've been to. Each bite is an extraordinary palette of flavors. The spices are measured with mastery.

Really bad experience here. The waiter was really pushy and tried to get us to order appetizers and lots of extras. Sat us next to a very loud table. We order and the food takes over 20 minutes to get to us. My husband's meal was ok, but my chicken was an odd green color and so I sent it back. The manager comes over asks why I sent it back, but offers no apology and still charges us 15 pounds for a plate of green chicken that has no rice or vegetables. Couldn't get out of there fast enough and won't be back.

The food first and foremost was amazing (all times I have been). They customer service is incredible with the owner not only remembering who we were but what we ordered upon our last visit (1st time we went there). Note:these were months apart. It is really special place to go for good food and impeccable service. Could not recommend more highly for a date or a family meal!

Lovely restaurant, the menu was nice mix of standard Thai meals and chefs specials. Food was fantastic, I had the sea bass which was cooked to perfection. Staff are incredibly helpful and attentive. Happily adapted spice/hear levels to our requirements.

I've been here multiple times, I take my Granny everytime I come up to visit her. The food is incredible and the service / people who run the place are wonderful. They treat my Granny like family, this is good food and these are good people. Highly Reccomend coming and eating here.

The white guy at the entrance was rude to us. Couldn’t even be bothered to try. Food was just better than average. A bit disappointing, them and Sukho Thai used to be one of our favourites.

We ate her last night and were not disappointed. We have been to several Thai restaurants in Nottingham but Sanchan's was by far the best. We love Thai food and have been to Thailand a few times and I can honestly say this is as good as it gets. To say we were blown away by the flavours is an understatement! Amazing food and service, we will definitely be coming back.

We had a takeaway last weekend and the food was excellent! We love spicy food and asked for recommendations of the hottest dishes and they were exactly what we wanted. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Really well run place, that is welcoming and friendly. The staff are attentive, polite, and extremely helpful... The food was really tasty, and made with a lot of passion. The food here is as close to the food you can get in Thailand as possible. Flavours are well balanced and simply delicious. We will be coming back time and again. The only small issue is that there are no baby changing facilities but don't let that put you off. There are plenty of high chairs, and kids are well catered for otherwise. Update: having been back after a number of years (lockdown related), it is great to see this place is still going strength to strength. Great to see it busy and also that the food is still as we remember. The kids loved it too! The hospitality is what would expect from. Thai place too, typically Thai and welcoming. Will be back soon

Many thanks to Sanchan's for accommodating our 10-person group at a fairly short notice, helpfully volunteering to split our bill, and letting us overstay our welcome (we were wrapping up past closing time!). The food is traditional, has the right level of spice, and is plentiful! Service is personable and attentive. If I could add a note of constructive criticism - some elements of decor are a bit tired (i.e. the chairs, they are definitely well loved). That said, the flowery walls make for an excellent group photo background!

Had a meal on Friday night, and had diarrhea all day Saturday and this morning, I thought the food tasted strange, basically the meal was awful, would advise going elsewhere!!

When I was a student in Nottingham Uni I went to this Thai restaurant very often. Friendly staff and very delicious food. Food prices are great too. My favourite dish is Kang Kiew Wan (Thai green curry)

The customer service here is horrible. I suggest getting takeaway from Sukho Thai around the corner instead.

When they first opened I tasted flavours I hadn't tasted since I was in Thailand. Every single dish on their menu is delicious, I moved out of Beeston 3 years ago now but still go back for Sanchan's takeaway. Its good, you should eat here.

I don't like to write negative reviews- but unfortunately the pad Thai we ordered did not have that authentic taste. I have been to many Thai restaurants and indeed Thailand many times; unfortunately this in comparison did not hit the mark.

The staff were very friendly but the food was definitely the star. All of the dishes we ordered were vegetarian and every single one of those tasted excellent. A bit pricey but worth every penny.
