Sam's Takeaway in Allerdale

Used to be amazing food when Sam & Mehri owned it. New owners have taken over and food is awful, wouldn’t even give it to my dog if I couldn’t afford dog food

Ok. I don’t know where to start. Ordered the usual, 13 greasy kebabs and a cheeky quarter pounder to treat me self, 5 out of 13 kebabs, gorgeous, enticing me to eat more and more and more, until…….. the other 8 kebabs were decomposing after being left for a week in the garden! Outrageous, me food cannit even last a minute before going off! Was lookin forwad to slapin them on tha micro and binging some suits (my favourite character is Lewis Litt)…………. The burger………. I opened the patty of my burger to begin dissecting the contents to take the beef out cus a don’t like it, and a bleeding spider was writhing around in the mayo like a midget in a spit bath. Won’t be cumin again. Foomin!

I am giving Sams 2 star, Not for the food , But the way the prices are , Every time i go to sams, I order Doner meat and chips and every time the price is different, It wasn't so long ago the menu was showing £3.50 and i was asked for £4.50 and then the price went to £5, The last 3 weeks i have been charged £5.50, Last week i was asked to pay £5 and yesterday i was asked to pay £6, I told the lad who only just served me the week before that it was £5 last week , He told me it was because it had Garlic sauce on, Well I have had Garlic sauce on every time i have bought it , So i told him not to bother and walked out. Honestly, Get your staff to charge the correct amount or i might not be the only one not going back

Just not very good food. Horribly greasy pizza, with cheap toppings. But you do get free hairs. My mate’s genuinely had numerous head hairs.

¡Fuimos tarde cuando uno pensaría que la comida sería mala! Sin embargo, fue excelente. Conseguimos un kabab mixto de pollo y doner, un kabab de pollo, pan de ajo grande, pizza grande de pollo y champiñones y 2 porciones de patatas fritas. Todo por 28, lo que creo que fue muy razonable. Entonces sí creo que es la mejor carne de doner que he comido. Lo que me hizo sentir mejor fue lo limpio que se veía todo por favor. Definitivamente lo recomiendo.

Rang up para pedir una última noche de Sam 2 pedidos para nosotros y amigos, hora y 40 minutos de tiempo de espera. Cuando nuestro amigo recibió su pedido, nuestra orden no se había hecho, así que tuve que esperar a que se hiciera mientras su comida se enfriaba. La persona que tomaba pedidos en el mostrador le dijo a su amigo que viniera a buscarlo. Grosero. luego pagó el nuestro, que era 19 por 1 pollo kebab 2 cuartos de libra hamburguesas con queso 1 porción de gajos de papa y 2 latas de coca cola amigo no se dio cuenta hasta que regresó con la comida y la sumamos, definitivamente no 19. Visité con bastante regularidad también, pero ahora me puse un poco fuera de lugar. Palabra de advertencia asegúrese de saber cuánto es antes de que le digan. Probablemente no sea culpa de Sam, pero su personal necesita ser resuelto o necesita invertir en una calculadora. Decepcionado, la comida es realmente buena, aunque probablemente sea una de las mejores pizzerías, aunque siempre está muy ocupada.

Sam delivered us some top quality Pizza and Kebab just a shame we had to wait a fortnight for it to be delivered....good food though, ball tingling.

Had a late arrival at our local caravan so called in here for food. The place is kept very clean and any spillages were instantly cleaerd up whilst i visited. Nice piza ordered but the highlight was the Kebab ,came with a generous portion of fresh salad in a seperate container which i thought was a great touch. can certainly recommend

We’ve been using Sams as our go to takeaway for a while now. The food is delicious and it’s great value, particularly if you do one of the meal deals. It’s probably best to collect as some times delivery can take hours... I’m not exaggerating.

Lovely owners food is cooked fresh and absolutely delicious .The shop is spotless clean .You can park close by and they also deliver .They always give you a time when your food will be ready and I’ve never waited more than 5 mins.This is not a restaurant it is a takeaway .

We love this take away Sam and Mehri the owners are so friendly. We can't fault the food and the service is always quick wether it be collection or delivery. They are always busy as the food is so good. I would recommend you phone order before you go so you don't wait long. We have never had a bad meal from here. I can highly recommend the pizza.its a must if you are ever in aspatria

Visited here 1 night during our stay in lake district and our food was very nice and tasty. Shish kebabs and chips nice.

Waited 2 hours for food tonight. Not good when 3 disabled people need food when on medication. That’s not a good service and your normally a fantastic service but not tonight.

Staying at nearby north lakes lodges and used Sams as read about it in other reviews, actually ended up ordering food on 2 evenings. Food delivered directly to the lodge within the hour, hot fresh and tasty. Pizzas were our favourite, delicious.

A clean well presented takeaway . I had a chicken shish kebab and it was very good , no complaints at all about the food as I really enjoyed it .. BUT there are 2 reasons that stopped me giving this takeaway an excellent rating.... Reason 1 ... I like chilli sauce and garlic mayonnaise on my kebab , but your only allowed 1 sauce any additional sauces are classed as extras and charged at 60p a portion. Reason 2... the salad and sauces all come separate and you have to assemble the kebab yourself , which is a bit of a messy disaster if you want to eat is as you walk home.

We were staying in North Lakes Lodges for the 2nd time so this is our 2nd time of trying Sams and whilst good last time it was better this time .... in fact so good we tried it twice! Friendly staff and amazing food. On the 2nd try we had food delivered to the lodge and as we're greedy pigs we ordered a meal deal and a pizza .... it defeated us and were big eaters! Meal deals are fantastic value - there was just 2 of us but the 2 kebabs and chips could have served 4 people; even the lovely side salad and portion of mayo tastes fab. We had to leave the garlic bread untouched we were so stuffed. Absolutely delicious and thoroughly recommended

Sam's is a breath of fresh air in Aspatria. The staff are always friendly and helpful - even when they are obviously very busy. We usually pre-order food and drive through to collect it. They are normally bang on time and, even on the odd occasion that we've had to wait, we've not had to wait above a few minutes. The food is great, with something for everyone. They also have an English menu for people who maybe don't like burgers, pizzas or kebabs. Very reasonably priced with some great meal deals to make it even cheaper.

Always good tasty food large portions and always freshly cooked. Friendly staff that can't do enough for you lovely and clean inside. The meal deals are excellent value for money 2 12 inch pizzas chips garlic bread and a portion of donner meat for just under £15 and a bottle of pop.

Tried here whilst passing by as hunger got the better of us and to be honest the food was excellent, great place for a quick takeaway, pizzas and kebabs, very tasty, not greasy like a lot of takeaways.

We are gluten free & they had rice as an alternative & we can also take in our own gf goods for them to add pizza toppings/ burgers/ kebabs I had Mexican chicken with rice & it was delish & they were so friendly x

This is a lovely takeaway. Food is excellent. Extremely friendly when you place an order. Delivery drivers are always cheerful. Food always arrives speedily and hot.

We decided to try Sams whilst staying at North Lakes Lodges nearby. Most people that have stayed there recommend Sams. We decided to collect although they do deliver directly to the Lodges. We had a meal deal which was huge and defeated us!! Excellent value for money and good customer service. Nice place do try it if your in the area.
