Sam's Restaurant & Coffee Shop in Swansea

Fantastic restaurant where I had breakfast - got the all day breakfast with black pudding and "milky coffee" for a very good price and food was delicious and service very friendly.

Y'all have HUGE meals here! My first time having a breakfast a place outside the US and it was fantastic! Staff was friendly, taught me about the things I wasnt used to, and the food was great! Cant wait to come back!

I really liked this place, the food was nice, the staff were amazing and the service was super efficient. I just find it pretty expensive for a greasy spoon. £9.70 for a bacon and one sausage sandwich with two cups of tea. I live in London and I don’t even pay these prices.

Sadly I had the same experience yesterday as I had in Francos. It is understandable a business has to be run and yesterday was very busy. As someone waiting on my own for a friend to come along I was asked to move to another table which is fine . My friend then eventually arrived and then the waitress asked me to move bank to the original table as there were two of us. It is embarrassing and I must find a cafe that caters for me waiting. My friend is elderly and her mobility is not too good so I'm very limited. I would prefer to go to Burger King where if you're on your own you don't get moved. Sadly my last visit to Sam's and I will have to inform my friend of this

I’ve went to this place not long ago with my nan! it’s was absolutely disgusting! the food wasn’t the Greatest! Although the service was quick! And wasn’t long. I’d Wouldn’t recommend going here! As it also had made me and my nan have bad belly’s afterwards.

Used to frequent on a regular basis...NEVER again...asked for no carrots with a xmas dinner and sprouts instead ...answer from Maggie NO!..teach her some manners btw....and you advertise yourself as a coffee shop also..however ..if you don't spend the amount of money they want they will throw you out..total contradiction ..Just discovered Franco's and Gershwins where the food is much better and they will accomodate your needs and change an item unlike sam's...i will never frequent this establishment again after spending so much time and money there.....the only positive is Nikita and Carly are so lovely and a great asset to the establishment unlike Maggie who is damn rude ..you never know who you're going to get with her..i will never go again.......

Nipped into here yesterday with my 1 year old, the place was closing up but still welcomed me in, I ordered a slice of toast for a moody little one and didn’t realise it was cash only which I had none on me. The lovely lady there reassured me it was okay and allowed me the toast for free which really made my day, all the staff there were super nice to us and I will definitely be going back. With cash this time! A small act of kindness that changed my days outlook totally, lovely to see people are still kind these days.

I come with my children at lest once a week and nothing is ever too much for the girls truly amazing place lovely atmosphere I would never go anywhere else

Been here many times. This time I chose ham omelette and chips. I wasn't really happy with this but it's not the fault of the cafe. They use chunky chips which I find too dry and the omelette was huge and full of ham but, to my taste, was very overcooked and consequently also very dry. I smothered the chips in vinegar and sauce but it made no difference, likewise the omelette. I ended up giving half of my meal to my friend. The most enjoyable bit was the side salad. I won't order that again. My friend had bacon, egg, sausage and chips and enjoyed it

Lovely breakfast, friendly staff

There are no vegan options. They will replace the egg on the vegetarian breakfast with another option but the vegetarian sausage also contains egg. However, they will only replace one item but then remove any other items and charge full price. This is not helpful to those who are either vegan or have an egg allergy etc. Could I suggest that the owner is more flexible towards those who don’t eat eggs or maybe offer a vegan alternative. Staff are polite and friendly and the service was very good.

Nice food and coffee but very rude staff. After just over a hour we were asked to leave. There were several empty tables in a very rude manner. One of my clients got very upset. We won't be back. Certainly not friendly and certainly not disability friendly environment either.

Came across this cafe whilst wandering around Swansea looking for a bite to eat. It's a very clean, reasonably priced, no-frills cafe with a good menu. Homestyle fresh cooking and generous portions. The all-day breakfast looked amazing. Staff are pleasant and very attentive. It was very busy when we visited but we were served quickly.

Popped into this cafe yesterday the waitress came over to take our order we ordered two lattes and 4 pieces of toast we were told by the waitress that she would have to check which I found odd. She arrived back and we were told that the tables inside were on for meals being ordered but if we wanted we could sit outside and they would take our order. I don’t think so as a paying customer . We were not spending enough money to be served in the cafe but they would take our money if we sat outside. Shame on you needless to say we won’t be returning here again being treated like this .

Sam's is a good place to go. I've used it, as does all my family for 30 years or more. The staff are helpful and polite, the food is very good, and sensibly priced and everything is clean. What more can I say.

We call in this Cafe often the food is second to none this shows in the popularity of the place its always very busy the breakfasts are fantastic and their main meals are both large servings and very tasty. I must also mention the wonderful waitresses who work tirelessly to maintain the standards of this cafe . And finally I must mention their coffees their cappaccino topped with cream is the best you will ever taste. Anybody visiting Swansea needs to visit this little Gem of a cafe .

Just finished a lovely breakfast here at Sam's Cafe. My wife and I visited Swansea for an over night stay and were looking for a cafe to get some breakfast. We stumbled across this cafe and we were so glad we did. Breakfast was delicious staff were friendly and the place was spotlessly clean.

Nice old school café. Best best known for their breakfast. They are not shy with their portions either. They cook it all to how you like it, and the staff are very nice too you and will come to you straight away. The table spaceing is a little cramped but it's ok but it's a very nice place and the atmosphere is great. I wish more cafés were like this one. You can't go wrong with a classic 👍

Lovely breakfast and gorgeous milky coffee, the cafe is always busy and it’s easy to see why. We visited on a Saturday morning and the staff and food was delicious, we have since been again and again enjoyed very much

super fast from the kitchen even with a large menu, decore is dated but the food and service is great the girls work the floor very attentive but dont push you to leave or rush close proximity to the colour lounge

Lovely food and clean restaurant

I have to be honest I have known Sam since he first opened his first cafe at the bottom of Oxford st opposite Joe's ice cream, which I use for lunch breaks as I work close to it. But I make no apologies for saying that along with Francos just a few doors up he also ranks as one of the top places to eat for a full English and many other dishes again very busy on saturday with a good range of menu. The full English is only available till 11am. Sam and his brother who run both restaurants are very nice always cheerful and highly professional in their customer service and have grown a very respectable reputation amongst many of his customers, again this place is highly..
