Always freshly cooked fish! Best chippy in town. We used to go to Ashby for fish n chips, not any more. Great food and service

had bad stomach twice after eating from sams fish & chip shop. 2nd time picked the fish up and could see the oil running off the fish. Was off work for 2 days after eating from sams.

Gives me bad belly every time I come recently. Fish is soaking with oil. For the price it isn’t worth it. Now go to Ashby .

It's the only chippy I'll eat from. The staff are friendly and their spam chips and peas always taste great.

Very nice, reasonably priced. Good variety of food including Breakfasts and Sandwiches. Fish was fresh and tasty with nice crunchy batter, as were the chips. Probably needed a few more peas to be honest.

Both my son's had chips from there yesterday (18-09-2021) and have both been violently sick. I WILL be goin in to talk to the manager and I ALSO will be calling environmental health as the food from there was the last thing they ate today. And the ONLY thing they had in common all day was CHIPS FROM YOU. VERY DISAPPOINTED. WILL NEVER EAT FROM THERE AGAIN

Absolutely delicious! The fish was really fresh and moist, great value too. Staff were really friendly too. Highly recommended!

Not bad, good portions, could do with cooking a little longer, chips look only half cooked and batter is soggy, would use more if cooked better.

Just been to this place. Looks ok until you eat the food. Said chips only just come out yet the cold n greasy as he'll. Expensive aswell for what ya get. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY

Went here for the first time this week. Wow a lovely clean & bright shop. Staff were friendly& we enjoyed our food.

This place is a great local chippy. The food is well cooked and of a great quality. Service is friendly and efficient. Pricing is low in comparison to the quality you pay for! I can feed my family of seven for around £12-15. What more could you ask for!?

Good food, reasonable prices, lovely staff, but quite often there's a miserable owner/manager sat there in the doorway to the kitchen with no PR skills dampening people's spirits.

New venture doing good hope they maintain this standard.

Chips ok but asked for a large cod. Once home I was very disappointed because the cod looked like a child's portion. I won't be going back there.
