First time visit. Won’t be my last,, the service was excellent, and vey helpful. The food was exceptional, best tasting I have had for a long time. I had fish cake chips and peas, all ery good .

Best fish and chip shop around atm. The young lass that works there is really friendly and helpful too

Since they have reopened I have been there most weeks for our Friday fish day (sometimes Saturday 🙃) and its absolutely delicious I can't fault them and 2 fish specials for £10 can't go wrong 😋

£3.85 for a cod that was no bigger than the palm of my hand ...will never use this poor value for money chipper again ...also the chippie didn't look the cleanest either !Newlands is high in cleanliness and great value for money 5star rating !

Found it by accident on way back home to north east. Best chippy I've been to in years, better than any we've got in north east. Chips were real chippy chips not like the plastic pre cut ones up here, shame its so far away, I'd be there every week if I lived closer. Staff really friendly too, not like the battle axes behind the counters up here
