Sam's Chippy in Blackpool

The best fish and chips I've had, it was a small fish and chips could have fed 2 people hot and delicious, lots on the menu choice thank you

Very disappointed. We had a delivery fish and chips . The fish was ok what there was of it but the batter was far from right . Not a single crispy bit and when cut the slim of the uncooked batter helped the bit of fish there was simply slide out of the batter . I know steam in the box can make it go a little softer but it was of putting and spoiled the whole meal most of it was binned as the batter was on the chips and with not being properly cooked made the chips of putting. The fat was far to hot to cook the fish batter so quick on the out side and not on the in . First time we have tried blackpool eats and this chippy . Would not recommend it more blackpool eats as you can’t leave feedback on there .

This is the best chippy in Blackpool And 1 of the best in the country Very highly recommended And I use everytime in Blackpool Top quality food and cooked to the highest standard

I’ve just visited Sam’s chippy for the first time and my god the fish and chips that I ordered, the size of the fish is brilliant and it tasted awesome would definitely go back to the chippy again

I used to eat in here a lot but it's gone down hill the last couple of times iv orded chicken curry and rice the rice wasn't cooked properly the chips were hard the cold last time I went in there I ordered fish and chips the fish and chips were cold will not be going back there

A walk in visit. Without a shadow of a doubt the best fish n chips ever. Fresh white meaty fish, lovely crispy batter, no grease on either fish or chips. Reasonably priced Well worth a visit.

Had a cheese burger from there. It was awful. Deep fried cheap burger. Stale bun. Never again. Staff nice but never again

Ordered food at 5.30 all was ordered was burger and chips took over one and half hour for delivery. And in the middle of close season in Blackpool. What will it be like in main season 3-4 hours

Iv been to sams chippy a few times an normally good but went last night I order kebab and chips with salad and chilli sauce what a total letdown the salad was nonexistent scabby chips and very dry and tasteless kebab and I got mayonnaise in stead of chilli sauce it was totally crap

A perfect example of a place which used to be spot on and is now best avoided. Nearly £7 for fish and chips consisting of a small undercooked fish and what appeared to be undercooked from FROZEN FRENCH FRIES!!!! If I want to eat frozen French fries I will eat at home or go to McDonald's. When I go to a chippie I expect PROPER CHIPS!!! Oh well, back to Taylor's and Stevonia it is.

Thanks to Sam’s Chippy for a delicious hot freshly good fish and chip meal. Fish was big and tasty and chips cooked just right. Friendly staff and I would definitely recommend it.

While stopping and working in blackpool i used sams chippy twice. Due to covid 19 its only doing takeaway from the window but for me no problem as hotel only minutes from the chippy,first time had pudding chips gravy, served to me by wonderful girl hot n tasty,second time fish chips n peas, wonderful fish not greasy batter fish wonderful good meal to fill me up before a night shift, would use again with no problems

We have just had a takeaway from Sam's Chippy. It was soggy and greasy absolutely Gross, wouldn't ever want anything from there again. Would not recommend it to anyone.

Lovely large piece of fish and perfect home made chips. Would recommend. A couple of tables to sit and eat in or take-away.

Popped in prior to meeting friends at a bar, grabbed a freshly made burger, no complaints, was good.

This (chippy) is situated near the North pier in a back rd but is well known and always busy. The food is always cooked fresh and the chicken curry is excellent. The only downside is the curry is only sold weekends. 9/10 for not selling the curry more often.

Popped in here for a bite to eat and was blown away with the size of the large cod it was massive. Good food and very good prices too.

We stop here for a quick bite to eat before we went back to our hotel. We were happy with the food & service. We sat outside in the sunshine

After a night out me and girlfriend always go to sams chippy can't fault the food or service one thing I will say it's a little bit pricey but apart from that it's all good

Best fish & chips I have tasted freshly cooked and huge. we got 5 and a chips and cheese and it came to £25 which was good priced. Worth a visit.

First time using this chippy and wasn't very impressed the food that was battered was rubbery and chewy got the order wrong and chips tasted reheated unfortunately it's a 2 star for me shame as there is not a vast amount of chippies in Blackpool any more

if you like your cheese burgers swimming it fat you will love this place i know they are fried but come on my breadcake just disintegrated right before my eyes

This chippy was near our hotel, we decided to eat our fish and chips on the premises and the eat in price was same as take out. Freshly cooked and good value for money

Stayed around the corner from here and fancied a quick fish and chips for tea. Wow I can honestly say this was the best battered fish in Blackpool, infact ever. Not a soggy bit of batter in sight. Gets very busy especially with the locals as obviously they know it's good. Would love to try the curry and would definitely recommend.

Best chip shop around! Good food here and great service. You order and take out at this place. They customize orders if you desire.

went for tea in here me and my granddaughter both had fish chips and mushy peas and a cup of tea the best in blackpool you really do have to go and try them all fresh.

Freshly cooked to order chips and freshly battered fish. Not a trace of grease. You do have a little wait obviously as the food isn't sat there waiting to be served but it's worth it. I'll drop in again.

We always visit the Sams & chip shop twice every time we come - on our day of arrival, and just before we go home. Everything is perfectly cooked fresh to order, with tasty crisp batter and the fish has beautiful white flesh. Not cheap but we look forward to it so much it helps to make our holiday,

Sams chippy is one of the very few in Blackpool that serves proper fish and chips. Service is always with a smile, excellent prices, varied menu and very clean.

I was recommended to go to this chippy but I was very dissapointed in the fish the batter was greasy & gooey underneath which from experience if eaten causes stomach ache or vomiting so I took all the batter off, the fish was not fresh as stated it was old & brown & the chips were dry I put most of mine in the bin.

we had chips and curry on the way back from a night out as they had sold out of fish and think it was to much of an effort to put some in! The staff were sombre faced and seems like was doing us a favour by serving us and was dressed in normal clothes (no overalls or hats) threw it in the bin horrible. avoid

Good old fish n chips, cheap. many other products available all well priced. You can eat in and watch the world go by.

Not only was this good value for money the food was lovely. I purchased a cod and chips, curry sauce, sausage in batter and chips and 2 drinks and it cost £8 this was off the main strip but not to far . And the staff are friendly. Well worth a visit x

Whenever we are Blackpool we make a point of visiting Sam’s Chippy for his beautiful fish and chips – absolute perfection! Fish cooked to order with light crisp batter and equally crispy chips. Sam is a gentleman and always has time for a chat too. We’ll hopefully be back soon…

So desperate for something to eat and this was the first place we saw from our hotel! Thankfully we were not disappointed - huge fish, chips were tasty and freshly cooked, the meal deals were really good value for money. I remember seeing a poster that this chippy is in the top 10 in Blackpool? Well deserved winner in my eyes (and tummy!).

Top stuff would go back any given day was good but no disabled acess, and the toilet was missing papaer roll

First time in Sam's and what struck me straight away was the menu choices and the low prices. Really polite server which was welcomed, not many places have staff who have a bit of customer service. Sorry I did not have the home made 'Sam's curry' which I am told is a speciality dish.

These are by far the best takeaway fish & chips we’ve ever tasted. We have eaten from here too many times to remember now! Sam is delightful and always had a smile on his face and time for a chat. The fish is cooked to order – absolutely delicious – thick flaky & pure white in the superb crispy fine batter and perfectly cooked chips. ate here Friday and Saturday whist visiting Blackpool. The food is first class, fish so fresh with lots of chips. Sam your chicken curry is ace, lovely and spicy with big chunks of chicken. Have eaten at Yorkshire Fisheries while good I feel that for quality taste and all round great value ( 2 coffees,fish chips curry sauce, portion of onion rings and great tasting chicken curry and chips) all for under a tenner unbeatable. All seaside trips should include a feast of fish, chips & mushy peas & those served at Sam's are of the highest quality, the batter is perfect.

Had a cracking burger and chips from here tonight. The only thing letting them down is short opening hours, but it feels like I was lucky to get there in time!
