I’ve never had chicken like it! Have you ever heard a chicken breast cluck while you’re eating it! CLUCK

A very welcoming eating environment with chicken cuisine of memorable taste & enjoyment. Well arranged restaurant in the heart of shepherds bush that invite you meters away. Good mannered servers with respectful smiles.

Al Forno is a friendly family-run Italian restaurant that based on the diners there, is very popular in the neighborhood. l. It has a good selection of menu choices and wines. The food that my wife and I ordered was very good and the service was excellent. The prices are very reasonable, especially for London.

The service was especially bad. I ordered the pickled fish, and the taste was completely off — it wasn't hot, sour, or spicy. I only had a tiny bit and asked the waitress to take back. Even after complaining to the chef, they still refused to take it back and argued with us on the spot. I will never come back again. It completely ruined my day. The service was particularly poor. I ordered pickled fish and it tasted totally bad. It was not hot, not sour, and not spicy. I only tried a little bit. I asked for a refund. I complained to the chef and refused to refund. He even made a fuss with us on the spot. I will never come back again. It completely ruined my mood for the day.

Sadly, as I was a reasonably frequent Balans guest, I am compelled to write a bad review. Cocktails were fabulicios, but alas, that is where the fabulous ended. The menu seems reduced, so we picked bites and sides; croquettes, mac cheese, chicken strips and skin on chips. These I sum up as cold, cold, burned and old. We watched the burned chicken, croquettes and chips in the windows for at least 15 minutes so they were stone cold, even the dishes, when we eventually persuaded the hard pushed waiter to bring g them to us. The chicken was black in places; however, the most inexcusable was the chips. No skin and very old. When I say old, the potatoes had clearly been cooked once and left for a day or two to go grey and powdery. Whether they were fried again on the day I do not know as they too, were cold. All in all, for £127, we had six cocktails and the disappointment of having to order a pizza when we got home. Really disappointing, as Balans used to he a bit if a staple of mine and only ten minutes away. Sorry, Balans, once loved, but from now on forgotten. I recommend the Bull next door feom now on.

Good food shame about the bread. 7/10 We went for the £35 set sharing menu during lunch and it was nice. The food just keeps on coming especially the starters. The starters were lovely, the key here is not to make the rookie error like I did by filling yourself up on the starters and then too full for the main. Portion sizes are good and the food is flavoursome. The only downside with this place which is why I say 7/10 is because the bread. It’s cheap pitta bread that you can buy from Asda. I personally love Lebanese bread and I was expecting that when going into a Lebanese restaurant but they cut corners and buy ghandi’s flip flop bread from the supermarket. Not good But the rest of the food was great
