Samlesbury Hall Restaurant in South Ribble

The Garden restaurant was not particularly easy to find. Reasonable menu but service was not great. Our 3 cakes came in stages and not together. No drinks arrived until we had nearly finished eating. ( Normally drinks would always come first ) I queried this but the waitress just said they would arrive soon. Not impressed.

Good service and very friendly and polite staff. The only thing that let’s here down is that it is very expensive for what you get

We came here for lunch after visiting the hall. We found the staff friendly and efficient. We both had the chicken,ham and leek pie with chips and peas. it was really delicious and the puff pastry top was perfect. The chips were perfectly cooked. it is attractive inside and well worth visiting.

Booked Lunch here for my wife and I. The best COVID Controlled Restaurant we have visited including Temperature check on arrival. Admittedly it was a cold wet day but The "Snooker" Room which is now the Restaurant was quite cold, so much saw i kept my Jacket on, just a large room to Heat. The Menu during Covid was quite limited, only about four Main Courses but we have the Steak Pie which was good, although the Pastry just crumbled. We finished with a Dessert which was excellent and Tea. The Staff and the Service was very good. For a Lunch it certainly wasn't cheap, so i recommend you view the Menu online prior to booking and see if this was for you, great setting attached to "The Hall". Lots of people having "Afternoon Tea" which looked good.
