Very enjoyable. I love the fusion of Indian and Israeli cuisine in the Tandoori Chicken Laffa. Indian sauces to go inside would be a nice addition. Fries (chips) were delicous.

I had lunch with a friend here and the food was delicious; we had an excellent waiter who was both very polite and efficient. Just one thing fried cod was listed on the menu as vegetarian, which obviously it isn't, but other than that everything was wonderful. Thank you.

Had probably the worst falafel rap in London, its was soggy, the salad was old , the falafel had no flavor and the bread was probably 2 or 3 days old . Had to throw away almost all the food... Do not recommend to anyone!

RECENT UPDATE! MAY 8, 2022... On a recent visit to Samis, I have to say, that the LENTIL SOUP is SUPREME!. I never had such an amazing soup that surpassed my wildest expectations. If you are planning to go to b Samis, then I strongly recommend this soup! The rest of the meal was excellent and fantastic value for money! I just ordered a Lamb Cutlet Takeway. Wow! First off Samis is so generous with his portions! 3 massive sized cutlets! Now the most important is the quality and taste.. I was blown away by the incredible succulent taste.. I rarely leave reviews, but Samis has excelled themselves in this lockdown climate and made my day so much more enjoyable with a delicious meal.

Samis is a kosher restaurant that has always been around. The Hendon location has moved a number of times. Unfortunately, Samis seem to be stuck in the past with their old menu and old food. They have a reputation of making people sick for an unfortunate reason. Maybe they need to a redo and something new. Service is OK and staff do their job but seem very bored.

The food was plentiful and of good quality. Lovely intimate place too. Most impressive though was that the staff are such 'people's people' and so incredibly attentive to each of their diners. Thank you!

Great place delicious food and best service

Just enjoyed our take away from Sami’s and had to write to let any coeliacs know that, if you’re looking for delicious kosher food with plenty of gluten-free options, then this is definitely the place for you. Firstly, the lady taking our order over the phone was extremely clued in with what was suitable for coeliacs. This was possibly the first time ever I can remember being told, completely unprompted, that any of the fried foods would not be suitable due to cross-contamination with the oil, where shnitzel and other food products share the oil. What impressed me equally was that she offered for the chef to wipe down the grill for any meat or chicken I may order, as normally the pita uses the same grill, rendering it unsuitable for gluten-free customers. I was really very pleasantly surprised at her level of knowledge (possibly she’s a coeliac, too? ). There are virtually no kosher restaurants in London where I’m guaranteed even one soup on the menu that is gluten-free. Here there were 3, as well as the option of choosing the chicken soup (but without the extras). Usually the restaurants say that the stock they use isn’t suitable so when I find a restaurant with a choice of soups I feel truly spoilt! Finally, I must make the important point that the lady taking my order was extremely polite and patient over the phone, and I didn’t feel under any pressure to make a quick decision over the phone. Despite not being English, she understood me perfectly, I didn’t have to spend ages spelling out my requirements (something which I often gave to do with other North West London kosher restaurants!) and she was extremely efficient. Thank you so much, Sami’s. We have just finished eating and our meal was DELICIOUS!

Food is of a high quality and we can really taste the fresh ingredients used. Our workplace is within walking distance and the restaurant is always able to accommodate pre-orders when we are short of time and we just have our lunch ready whenever we get there. We go to Samis at least once a week and it is definitely a must if you want to try falafel or shawarma.

Unfortunately the food isn't up to scratch, the chicken inside the laffa is fine but the laffa bread itself is stale and hardly any hummus was inside to help with the dryness. Think this may be last time I order from Sami's as White House is much better quality. ______ This is a response to the reply. Clearly my review is not fake as I have over 100 fair reviews that I've written over the years (and you can see on my profile that I have local guide status). This is my view and if you want to argue it that's fine but I know when something is stale and you should be cooking fresh without having to specifically ask for it. I ordered it through deliveroo so I'm not there in person to ask for it directly like this but you should be providing the same quality of food to people ordering online to in-store.

My experience at sami's was absolutely incredible, The staff were very polite & the food was 10/10 Definitely gonna come back very soon. Highly recommended.

I used to come here frequently to get sandwiches but man have they changed. I ordered a bbq chicken laffa sandwich, and asked for toppings of hummus, tahini, Mayo and cucumber. What I received was a cucumber sandwich that was laced with chicken and hummus. Shocking. £10 for a cucumber wrap. Don’t know what to say about this reply but there’s the picture of the order of the stuff you don’t have…

AVOID. Shockingly bad food, overpriced and awful customer service. I ordered a schnitzel and a shawarma. Both came raw, undercooked and insipid. See pics. I tried to speak to the restaurant about it and they couldn't care less. I received an email from the owner confirming this is how their food is and is normal. Enjoy at your own peril.

Found the portions very small and far to long to wait for take away and avoid the Sunday evening rush as you will wait a long time. The food is cold and honestly there is better if you travel further into Golders Green and at better price!

The new decor is very nice, the food prep is all behind closed doors in the kitchen (better). Can't fault the food, decent size portions and vert tasty + good value meal deal

Awful experience through deliveroo tonight, first and last order from this place!! £17 for a tiny and inedible portion of Salt Beef and cold when delivered. I can buy a Kilo from The Salt Beef Bar in Temple Fortune and its amazing. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!

Sami's moved back to their original site in Hendon during lockdown. Smaller venue with a new menu. very wide choice and well priced -really good food and fair value and excellent service. Highly recommend

Mediocre food, bad customer service. Having asked whether all the food was present, we were told it was and arrived home to find half of it missing. On calling to ask for the rest of our order to be delivered to rectify their mistake we were told it was all present and Alexandra argued that it was sent! On collection I was greeted with huffing and puffing along with eye rolling. No suggestion of an apology until prompted, no offer of a discount, no reason to return. Update after response from owner: I am shocked at the lack of honest fact with regards to your reply. It says a lot about the restaurant and staff. I do hope that you will continue to improve your customer service.

We always missed the old Sami's place, nice upgrade for inside and also for the menu. I love this place as is always clean and tidy.

Ordered food via Deliveroo On arrival one of the meals was missing. Called Sami's who said it was not their fault but the fault of Deliveroo. DEliveroo said it was Sami's fault. They are both game playing and wasting my time and I am not going to be eating tonight. Surely the driver who is not the packer is not totally responsible. He can't unpack everything and know what is what in the bag when it is wrapped in foil Those that ate what tiny portions were delivered said the food was chewy, the rice awful and the salad stale so maybe I didn't miss much. The manageress was incredibly rude when she could be understood and said they can pick and choose their customers and the owner was just a a rude mouse who allowed her to treat customers like this. The trouble when food is farmed out to be delivered by another company is that it is easy to blame each other and no one is prepared to take responsibility. AVOID as there are far better kosher places to eat in Hendon

I only know about shwarma and steak in laffa take aways. They make the lafas fresh on a stone fire which is a big bonus and the add ins are spot on

Visited here while on a work trip. Very friendly staff and a warm welcome. The food was excellent. If we are in the area again, we will definitely be returning. Highly recommend.

Yes! They've upped the presentation and quality immeasurably. Portion sizes are still generous - so this was a nice surprise as I haven't been there in a while. This is decent value for money.

Went for a 'take away' this evening. They could learn from the Edgware branch about service and customer care. Chips were raw. Seemed to give more attention to the 'friends of the owner' than the waiting customer. Sorry, won't be returning.

BEWARE. Its not the Samis it used to be. The service was dismal. They didn't come and ask how the food was or if we wanted anything. They expected we were Indian and we eat with our fingers that they didn't provide a spoon for the rice and the £30 odd pound mix meats tasted like frozen roadkill. On top of that the chips was the best part and that wasn't even good and it was cold. They reheated the food taking all of 50 seconds and then argued when I told them it was cold. They then took a little longer heating it but still came out rubbery and tasteless. I will never eat there again even if they paid me.

Ok for the soups and the desserts but main course at holders green root what I asked for I wanted a quarter of chicken breast on the bone given baby chicken or bird or chicken livers very thin meat not whati expected formerly £17,00 plus owl of tomatoes salad £2,00 very ex pensive white rice with paprika on the rice which I am a llitģic to plus wanted mixsalad I couldnot have as could not separate the peppers from the salad went last night to dress.is son at Henson son not there said samis son in edgeware branch sai D would try Tomorrow saw samis father who said aii four shops belong to different t managers for each samis restaurant. Food decently priced and good but trying to get a quick takeaway which usually comes very quickly at other similar establishments (whitehouse/pita) took ages before they even started cooking it. Wasn't even a queue to provide a reason for taking time

Stopped ordering from Sami because the food was lousy and have been happy with Whitehouse ever since. Tonight the Whitehouse delivery was long so called Sami's so gave them another try. Their 40 minute delivery took over an hour. They didn't include the drink (instead giving me a "free" bottle of water), the chips was a bag of around 20 undercooked chips, they missed part of the order, and the salad was a tub of water with tomato floating in it. I called to complain and they sent out another order (they first offered free next time but it wasn't good enough to bother), which again didn't have the right food. Called again and Sami hung up on me. Back to Whitehouse it is...

Food is good, and prices decent but service amateurish and deplorable. We waited 20-30 min for our main course and probably wouldn't have received it if we didn't nag them. And they never brought us our side dishes, they just forgot.

Amazing food! All fresh, you can really taste the difference. I order food here every day and I feel like you're eating homemade food. I highly recommend this place.

Such a shame. Lovely looking restaurant but it was, as described by another diner, like Fawlty Towers on a bad day. Took 3.5 hours to serve 2 people 1 course meal. 1 poor sod in kitchen, dealing with take-aways at same time. 2 embarassed waiters. No shwarma available (it was still only 8:30). Wrong wine delivered - twice. Was then told they had run out of white wine! We settled for 2 glasses of red. My friend's food was delivered to table 20 minutes before mine which was then delivered wrapped up in paper (?!) with cold chips, minus certain salads because they had run out. When we asked for the dessert menu, we were told that they only had baklava! Food experience was marginally preferable to hunger. I give it 1 star & 3 months unless owner employs more staff and orders food & drink to be served.
