Me and my partner went today lovely place the staff were really nice and fast service anything we asked the staff were lovely food was lovely 10/10 pizza was so fresh and pasta dish was very tasty couldn’t eat it all so they boxed it up for us to bring home and the afternoon meal deal was well worth the money can say we will be back again

First time ordering from here and I have to say I'm so impressed, the food arrived hot and was delicious, the homemade tiramisu was incredible, gotta give my hand to the chef, everything was just delicious and will definitely be ordering again. Also can I get that recipe for tiramisu 😁 I need more of that in my life. Delivery driver was great so apologetic for being only 1 minute late bless her

We went in on the off chance there was space for us on a Sunday, they were brilliant with us and easily accommodated us. The food was really good and the final bill was definitely value for money. The staff there were really good and especially good with my 4yr old daughter which really went a long way in my eyes 10/10 recommend.

Got delivery. Surf and turf. Steak was thick and juicy, cooked exactly as requested. Tasty.

We only recently started ordering from Sambuca, and can say without any doubt, they simply provide the best quality pizza we have had in years of ordering takeaway pizza! Friday night just eat gives amazing discount, giving best pizza at prices lower than usual takeaways. Try them, you absolutely won't regret it.

The quality of the food is stunning, and the Friday discount makes the prices amazing! We have used, and been happy with many pizza takeaways in the area, but even without the discount on a Friday, Sambuccas is a fantastic and excellent value meal.

Horrific. The food was vile, completely gone down hill. The carbonara was reheated, no taste at all and dry. The parmo was a chicken breast with a block of cheese on. The only good thing about the entire thing was the chips. Peppercorn sauce was the worst I’ve ever tasted. Very disappointed. Order was £50 and I wouldn’t even pay £5 for the standard of food we received.

Filled an extremely hungry family with some great tasting food, normally stick to pizza and pasta but tried other food and was very impressed

The lobster ravioli was delicious but the pizza was bland and cold. And the garlic sauce tasted very sour and also tasteless.

parmos are unreal from here and the home cooked chips.

The food here is absolutely amazing. Ordered steak stroganoff and I honestly didn't even need the steak knife they provided. It was cooked to perfection! The staff were lovely, attentive and polite. The food, wow! The atmosphere was cozy and relaxed. Don't be put off by the prices, you honestly get what you pay for, worth every penny!

Food was lovely and great value for the money we paid . Service however wasn't the best . Waited for 20/25 minutes from starter to mains and had to ask for the pizza to be boxed . Wasn't asked about dessert option or coffee so only ended up with the 2 course and paid and left.

Visited last weekend , it was my first visit to the area and it was fantastic! We drove out from Newcastle. The place was lively during lunch. The girls were attentive and did their jobs with pride. Food was excellent and the atmosphere was amazing. Decor was lovely and tables and place in general was clean including toilets! I was really impressed ! Certainly the team that was on on Tuesday was amazing. It be lovely if more staff and owners followed in their footsteps. Well done to your beautiful staff!

Great food 😋, delivered early, opted for Sunday Lunch Turkey dinner with plenty of veg, combined with the Brie starter and two types of sticky toffee pudding and a cheesecake, all lovely.

Food was lovely, but Yorkshire puddings were a bit overdone. Thank you 😊

Took over 2 hours to come. Asked somebody at the shop how long and she said 5 minutes but actually took another 1 hour and 10 minutes. Absolute joke

They managed to squeeze us (2) in without a booking which was appreciated. We were told they needed the table back in 1½ hours... plenty of time if the service was quicker. The food was good, as expected for a Sambuca. Got the early dinner set menu so the price was unbeatable. Staff otherwise were super friendly and helpful

We booked for the Bottomless Brunch 4pm-5.30pm. Restaurant staff were very attentive. Included a meal (starter and a main course) and a good selection of drinks. Lovely atmosphere - couldn't fault anything!

Ordered potato skins, deep. Fried calamari, Brie wedges & pollo cream with chips. Order arrived early & everything was perfect. Would highly recommend

With one hours notice the staff took on a baby shower for us after being let down by somewhere else, they couldnt of been any nicer or helpful, food was amazing staff were fantastic, couldnt of asked for better. Thank you all so much.

I really want to give a huge shout out to the manager and his staff, who accommodated us for our daughters wedding reception recently, after having been been let down by the original restaurant that we had booked, and with with only 5 days to go before the wedding. It was a small wedding of 22 guests, but the manager and staff were so helpful and dressed the tables with the decorations I'd supplied. The meal was lovely and the service was very good considering the restaurant was very busy. I would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a venue for any celebration, as well as a meal out. Many thanks to you all, we had a lovely time

Lovely food and lovely service. Food was served quickly by lovely pleasant staff who were attentive. Husband had steak whilst I had pasta roma. Both very tasty. Was very busy as we left so I would advise booking.

We’ve eaten a few times here now at Consett’s Sambuca and the food is amazing, the staff are so helpful, and the service is spot on! Even when they’re busy they’ll try to accommodate us. The pizzas are amazing and the pasta dishes are wonderful - this is our go-to eatery now!

Sambuca was always my go to for food....take away, eat in, quite bite to eat until yesterday Considering this country is so big on being inclusive & diverse I was treat terribly for being tee total but wanting to eat with some work friends who were I was told either they had to not do the bottomless brunch which would make it not very cost effective as I had to be home 2 hours later, or I had to pay for a bottomless brunch to eat some pasta which isn't worth it for me so I left after 3 minutes disappointed in the service or lack of it Not sure what difference it would make to yourselves that they were all booked in & paying for the bottomless brunch & I pay for myself... I'll remember this next time we're looking for a take away, birthday meal out, catch up with friends food since you're I was so unwelcome to eat in your restaurant yesterday

My meal would have been fine had it not been for a sauce which saturated the fish & spoilt it. Perhaps if I order this Sea Bass dish again It may be possible not to have any sauce at all. The rest of the meal was fine & a good delivery.

Visited on a Sunday afternoon , we opted for a beef Sunday lunch, kids chicken and a pizza. Service, food and environment was spot on - they offer a great 3 course Sunday lunch which is amazing value. We will be back again in the near future.

Very fast delivery, arrived 20mins after ordered. Food was very nice too.

Deserts and drinks were missed off the order and delivered separately. Cream with the deserts had turned and was sour and more like milk than cream. Chips were under cooked. Not a great experience.

The garlic mayo was warmer than the pizza and there was hardly any topping on it. I paid an extra 50p for jalapeños and there was more of them than anything else! Disappointing.

Went for Sunday lunch. Was very filling with plenty veg & nice tender slices of meat 🍖 worth the money we paid too & would highly recommend 😊❤

Food was the worst it's been shame

We were recommended to try Sambuca Consett for Sunday Lunch by a family member. We all opted for Roast Beef. When it eventually arrived the beef was draped over the veg, the veg was as if it had been thrown on the plate. The veg was like it had been blended and soaked in gravy. Very Very disappointing and never again!

Clearly forgot about my order as I turned up on time and I was told my order would be a couple of minutes. 15 minutes of waiting in the restaurant and I eventually received the order without even an apology for how late it took. Really poor service on this occasion

Two hours delivery. Rang to ask where it was. Delivery driver went to wrong door (despite mine having number on the door!) was promised fresh food. Delivery arrived two minutes later cold and inedible. Won’t be ordering again

Place was not full, we were given a choice of two places, beside people, or stuck in a alcove where people walked through as we were eating, terrible seats, not great service, dirty plates and empty glasses left on our table, had to put glasses on a table next to me, not the best night.

Messy presentation tasted awful had one 5 days ago and it was beautiful. It’s like there was a full tub of mince topped over my pizza. Disgusting

We consider ourselves as regulars to this excellent restaurant. The service is first class, polite, portions are tremendous and the food is represent brilliant value. We come here often for a date night. I love the fact everything is fresh and freshly made. The staff put their hearts in and that gives the nicest taste. From specials till sunday lunch just fantastic x cant wait till the next visit.

pizza beautiful and pasta was okay :)

We went out for a family meal with my husband, Mum and 2 girls aged 1 and 5. The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating! They set up the table with a high chair by the time we arrived so didn’t have to try and sort that out ourselves. My Mum had a recent hip replacement which I mentioned to the lady on the phone when I booked so we got the closest possible table to the door and moved things around a bit so she could walk there easily with her crutches. 10/10 customer service!! The meals arrived quickly even though it was busy, they were delicious and huge portions, we couldn’t finish it all and they packed it all up for us to take home without asking. The prices are very reasonable for such quality food!! Thank you very much we had a lovely meal out! They mentioned that they’ll be selling cocktails soon so I’ll be back for those with my Mummy friends soon!! ☺️

The king prawns came with the shell on, it should be stated on the menu. Secondly, the pizza was that sloppy, the bottom of the box became soggy, which created a hole... losing half the pizza to the floor. The potato skins were soggy.... Garlic bread and Mozzarella balls were fine. Wouldn't go back.

Pate was liquid with hard bread, lasagne had burnt pasta with zero taste. Chocolate brownie cane with a tub of milk and not cream, Bizzarre . Pretty lousy overall
