Absolutely loved our evening at Salvatores. The food was excellent, service was quick and the staff are fantastic. Will definitely return.

Tried here for my son's birthday and was very impressed. Food was excellent and really good value for the price. Waitress service was also excellent and a great buzzing atmosphere in a modest sized restaurant. Everyone loved all the food (all had garlic bread, pizzas and pasta. We had a large gathering for friends and family at Salvatores yesterday. Both the food and the service were brilliant. Everyone commented on how good the food was. We also appreciated not being rushed. The staff were great. Thank you for making it a very special occasion. We will be back again soon.

We were greeted by the happiest member of staff a restaurant could have, we had pre-booked so our table was ready and waiting. Absolutely scrumptious, delightfully delicious food, steaks melt in the mouth, pollo a la crème over flowing with chicken, beautiful fresh side salads, starters magnificent. Spaghetti perfection, we receive regular food checks, water offered too. We cannot fault this wonderful restaurant. Thank you for making our evening a happy, fun and altogether pleasurable and pleasant occasion.

Consistently amazing food & wine!

It was nice to go and try somewhere different but I won't be going back. I had the ribs to start and they were far from slow cooked and still tough. Also, I'm pretty sure they had been microwaved but then put in a skillet that had been in the oven to give the illusion however they were just about warm, not even hot. I had the lasagne for main course and this was ok. I did have an irish coffee after but soon regretted it after seeing the bill and it costing £8!!!!!

We have eaten at this place on many occasions and the food was ok. The pasta is very oily. However, we wanted to have lunch today and they open at 12. We waited until 12:05 and no one opened the doors. The staff were just talking and not even bothered to open the door.

Salvatores has been a staple place to eat at in Penwortham for many years. However, after the sad passing of Salvatore himself, the family have invested in and rejuvenated this already great Italian and given it a new lease of life. The staff are warm and welcoming and the food is fantastic. Being a local resident, I have eaten here many times over the years and I can honestly say I gave never had a bad meal here. I am pleased to say that the changes have not negatively impacted this establishment but only enhanced it. A nod to Salvatore himself can be seen in the photographs on the wall and the heart and soul of the restaurant are still intact. However there is a modern freshness to the place providing a comfortable and welcoming environment that should see this place last for many years to come.

Very good food - tasty Italian recipes, well prepared. Bit of lacking services - inexperienced staff and slightly disorganised. It was Sunday afternoon and opening time was wrong - opened 12:30 not 12,as declared on google.

Best Italian food we’ve ever had! Sublime dishes that are generous portions. The service in here is impeccable we were sat tucked away in the corner however we never had an empty glass. Such a lovely vibe in the restaurant which makes this place a 10/10! Unfortunately we’re a good drive away from this place but would regularly make the 2hr round trip to come again! You must get the meatballs & carbonara WOW

Visited this restaurant recently. For me, a test of how good any business is depends on a number of factors.. The ambience, the greeting on arrival, the front of house staff, and, of course, the cusine served to the table have to all be as you expect when visiting such an establishment like this.. And here, it is just impeccable, in my opinion.. Shame we don't live in the area, we we're visiting friends nearby and this restaurant was their choice to eat in.. But definitely, if we're in the area again, we'll revisit this restaurant.. I have suggested that the establishment has business cards placed in view of guests so that people can take with them if they want to share with family and friends.. And if they had them, people like me who take the time to write posts and take pictures can place on a plate to show we have eaten here.. I would also suggest to the management that if you do have special dishes available on a given night, please place a board for guests to read or get staff to let diners know.. I absolutely loved the monkfish dish .. But it was a special.. Good job, I asked.. It was delicious and presented beautifully.. Capirno in carrozza( goats cheese caramelised..) Delicious and light..

Been here a few times with my girlfriend, a properly authentic Italian with the atmosphere to match and the food is amazing. Would definitely recommend the vegan dishes too, and it’s always full of people and for good reason! Staff are all really friendly and the price is great considering the quality of the food.

Absolutely amazing food. Probably the best Italian restaurant I’ve had the pleasure of dining in for many years. We had the carbonara , lobster ravioli , and the crespella pollo. The restaurant is a lovely place to dine in, cosy and comfortable . We will be back.

We had an order to takeaway, it was lovely and hot, we wanted to alter a pasta dish which was no problem for them. Great tasting food at a good price, highly recommend 👌

My first time in the restaurant, and I have to say I'm quite impressed. We were served very quickly upon arrival, and we got a 3 course meal (one of them from the Christmas menu). The food came very quickly and it tasted amazing. We were very impressed by the service, even with the restaurant full and busy, the staff was extremely efficient and very friendly. I definitely will get back!

Very noisy especially staff laughing and joking, plus music loud. Not a relaxing atmosphere for dining especially when you can't carry on a conversation. Food was excellent as was service but the noise was enough for me not to return, which is a shame.

Had a pizza here and the potatoes were raw. Great lumps of potatoes on a pizza that took 10 mins to cook. I would have thought they would have used cooked potatoes.

We went to Salvatore's on Saturday evening as a party of 14, celebrating our friend's 70th Birthday. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and the food and service were excellent. We will definitely be booking again, very soon.

I really wanted to rate this restaurant 5 out of 5 stars, but our evening was somewhat spoilt by the excessively loud live music. Personally I want to chat with friends when out eating and this was impossible. Everything else about the place was fantastic. Really delicious food.

Superb food, staff were very friendly helpful and professional, very accommodating. Would highly recommend going here, though if you would like to talk as a group, then you best sit outside on the decking, as they seem to have live entertainment, which is often seemingly very loud, Really really good experience and look forward to going again.

Enjoyed a lovely dinner here with my wife and toddler. The staff were super friendly and great with the little one, she absolutely loved it. The food came very quickly and was tasty. I was happy to see clearly marked vegan options on the menu too, it made ordering much easier.

Standard Italian fare. Serving staff very young and not great. Ok if local and you want a drink.

It's been Penwortham Live and very busy, but they squeezed 4 adults & 2 children in with no notice. Becky & Jason knocked it out of the park! Fantastic service and food. We all left happy and full! Xx

Sunday April 16th 2023 : 4 generations together for a family lunch together. Great food - tasty & well presented. Service - polite, efficient & attentive. Not so busy as we dined early, so atmosphere not as lively as usual. Clean plates all round & everyone happy & full! Thanks to the staff for a great experience

Went lastnight food was exceptional, however the service was awful empty plates left on our table for what seemed like ages in between courses ignored by staff, was waiting to get dessert board but after getting ignored just left and paid bill. Then to see chefs out the back having a kick about in the carpark pretty much confirmed everything we experienced with service.

We had a family Christmas meal at Salvatores and it was perfect. The food was beautiful and the young male waiter was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble for him, even though it was very busy. Service with a smile and a credit to your Restaurant. Thank you. 😊

One of a party of 7 last week. 2 hour table slots. Some disappointment - as waited approx 45 mins from ordering to food arriving. It was acknowledged that due to Christmas festivities, this could have been why, as the restaurant was full. One starter request was changed upon ordering - incorrect order was served. Staff were happy to oblige and resolve by replacing with the correct order. However, after a further 10 minute wait the incorrect order was presented once again. A good 55 mins of the 2 hours was used by waiting for food, which resulted in staff not offering or seeking orders for desserts, as the 2 hour window had passed by this time. Instead we were presented with the final bill. Sad, as on leaving we realised that no one else was waiting to be seated at our table for the next two hours. Due to the issues highlighted above, 2 stars have been deducted. On a positive note, food was exceptionally good. Very tasty and freshly cooked. Portion sizes were more than adequate too. The restaurant caters for vegetarians and other dietary requirements. There is also parking to the rear of the restaurant, which is helpful as parking to the front is limited. During the summer months there is the option to be seated outside at the front, which provides a canopy cover, ideal if warm but wet. As a group we did decide that we would return but not during busy periods. If you have not been it is worth a visit to try something from there extensive menu.

I was sat near the speaker and the music was v loud. Had to shout to talk to my friend. Had the carbonarra. The meat was hard and dry. I enjoyed the garlick bread.

Lovely restaurant. I went with 5 friends for a celebration meal. The waitress was very nice and wasn't annoyed at us for taking the time to wonder what to have. The food that came out was lovely. I have the bruschetta which simple with fresh bread and tomatoes. My main was lovely the fresh vegetables and potatoes were divine. After 4 weeks of meat and potatoes this was a treat. Dessert was lovely. I had a cheesecake. We reserved for 530 and told we could only stay until 730. We were a little over this however they didn't push us or make us feel like we had to leave right away. The service was great and the atmosphere was lovely. Really enjoyed our last meal up in Lancashire. So thank you. Highly recommended. Only took this image as I was hungry 😂

Great. Had seafood pasta which was full of king prawn, baby squid, scallops, mussels etc. Tasted delicious.

Last minute booking on a Saturday night and what a beautiful wonderful restaurant. The interior was magnificent and the food was glorious. Friendly staff who made a spontaneous evening one to remember. Can't wait to return..

Great food…period! starter - we had mussels , very fresh and the sauce were amazing. Meat ball, really great and the sauce made it when more better. Fried calamari, was okay but little bit too chewy in my opinion. Tomato and mozzarella salad- fresh tomato and great mozzarella was out of this world! Main- couldn’t fault it! Everything we try was really good. Spaghetti were perfectly cook and the sauce are out of this world! Pizza are also great that’s stone baked , you can really smell and taste the wood that they’re using. Risotto , really light and creamy but very felling. Over all the main are great but please keep in mind that it is pretty big. Stop by and try some. Let me know what you think 🤔

Lovely food, nice place and friendly staff. A little pricey so nice for the occasional treat.

Well they don't know how to make and prepare Gnocchi that's for sure. But my wife is half Italian so perhaps they didn't have a look in.

4th Sept 22. Food was absolutely brilliant , no complaints there, I had the lobster ravioli with prawns , very tasty and reasonable priced. My wife had gluten free Pizza which she also enjoyed . The only little moan was the price of 2 blackcurrant and sodas (half pints ) at £3.10 each , we had 2 each so equivalent to £6.20 a pint !, Other than that absolutely superb !.
