The worse pork shoulder I ever ate . A waiter couldn't even recommend any food . Not nice atmosphere at all

There is a homely atmosphere in the restaurant and the owners are great guys. Radek, the chef, has very good taste and Patryk will always advise you which options to choose. A fabulous meal. I had Polish beer, soup, and because it was Friday, in my personal tradition I had a fish main course which I enjoyed. The soup however, was absolutely delicious! I don't remember what the soup was called unfortunately. Soup of the day. My two pints of Staropolskie dworsk beer made my meal outstanding. The service was friendly and efficient. A satisfying time!

We had a delicious lunch here. We both loved our meals - We had the perogi (dumplings), soup and the Bigos (Hunters Stew) with a couple of polish lagers. Excellent friendly service and great value for money.

chips were cold and tasted like sugar had been used and the dumplings were over cooked so where mushy ended up binning it and having cereal instead won't be ordering again

A very nice and atmospheric place. I came here on recommendation and I will definitely come back again. What can I say... the food is great, and the blacksmith's cutlet is simply a bomb. In addition, nice and friendly service and all this for a very reasonable price. I recommend.

I had the opportunity to be in Barnsley with friends and visit the restaurant, unfortunately I had a bad experience.... I ordered a pork chop, the taste was like it came from Sunday and it was heated from a microwave... the potato tasted so much that even a dog wouldn't eat it, only what was there the edible ones are raw salads....I'm sorry to write this but we won't go back there, bad experiences and not only mine. I do not recommend

Tomato soup tastes like tomato concentrate with water and lots of salt , meat was under cooked and chewy, cabbage extra salty. Sorry but for £22 ( and £1 for a packaging and 4 for delivery ) unfortunately not worth it which is shame as we could do with good polish restaurant in Barnsley.

Very nice restaurant with delicious food. Zurek in bread 10/10 dumplings are very good, and if you order a cutlet, you must know that you probably won't be able to eat it yourself because it is so big, but therefore very very good. I recommend it wholeheartedly! I wish there were more places like this on the map!

Update: Just been again. 2nd consecutive visit. Tried the pork neck and dumplings this time. Was excellent. Wish we lived closer. We will definitely be back when visiting again. Thank you so much. Can't praise this place enough. Visiting the area I really wanted Polish food and so was delighted to come across this. The restaurant is small but very well laid out. The toilets are spotless. I had seen the menu beforehand so knew exactly what I wanted to order so did immediately. I ordered my favourite which is Chicken Devoly. I really wanted a yummy mushroom sauce to go with it but was advised they do not do it. Food arrived quickly and to my astonishment, with Mushroom Sauce! The food and service was so good, we are going back tomorrow!

The gentlemen changed this place beyond recognition. They put a lot of work and passion into what they do. The food is always delicious and fresh, the service is nice and helpful. Very nice place. A few polish specialties but not too much in your face or pretentious. Prices absolutely fair and food very yummy.

At the beginning this restaurant was nice and food was nice now its a joke.I ordered fries with mozzarella for my child and got just a fries without any mozzarella.Ordered cake with strawberries and on the cake they sprinkle strawberry syrup.My mane dish came with burned baked potatoes. Everything went straight to the bin. Never ever ordering again!!!

We dropped in this little gem on a Saturday afternoon after shopping. We had never had polish food before. This place is really nice. The staff are 5 star . You are really looked after and it's really cosy and you are made to feel so welcome. Definitely recommend trying you won't regret it.

It's been a long time since I ate such a good meal as at Salt & Pepper. The interior of the restaurant is typical of Poland, you enter and feel at home at Grandma's. The food is delicious, fresh and large portions! If it's hard for you to eat because of the quantity, either Radek or Patryk will come and say "leave the potatoes and eat the meat" 😅 moreover, the owners are very nice people, very helpful! This year they even sponsored the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity in Doncaster 🥹 I highly recommend it!

We had a lovely meal here for our first visit. It's a little gem. We got the impression Polish food is not spicy, but it is tasty. There are plenty of drinks in the menu. Choices of starters, main courses and deserts. Plenty of Pork and Chicken dishes but no beef. It didn't bother us. The prices are very reasonable, the waiter was exceptionally helpful and the restaurant was spotless and warm. As it's coming up Halloween the windows were decorated in such a way you can have a photo taken in it. There was an overlay on the table which looked like spiders webs. Children are welcome and high chairs provided for tots. There is even a play corner with toys, a small table and chair. A good experience. Will return.

I am not Polish myself however, my partner is. We have looked for nice Polish restaurants up and down the country throughout the past few years. This restaurant provides the best food and service that we’ve seen so far. We’ve even tried polish food in London and it doesn’t even come close to what we tasted and experienced here!

I have been to the restaurant multiple times and I must say, the food is absolutely fantastic! The portions are generous and the taste is out of this world. The atmosphere is wonderful and the staff are incredibly friendly. They truly know how to treat their guests. 😊👌🍽️ Keep going guys.👊🏻

I am not Polish but I like the Polish culture, so when I saw this restaurant, I was intrigued, so I tried it . The atmosphere is welcoming. The staff are very friendly, polite and there is a community sense inside. Even the customers are friendly and homely. The speciality food is typically Polish, so be adventurous, but rest assured the food is very nice, tasty, and great value. The is also a wide choice for those who aren’t adventurous, and everything I have tried has been exceptional. The location is not in the best of places, but the management has been creative, so this restaurant definitely lifts the character of the surrounding area and your spirit is lifted as it seems like a Balkan oasis. Enjoy sitting outside with a meal, because even though it’s next to a road, it is quite and the owners have placed flowers to create a sense of beauty. Enjoying a nice meal inside is also a treat in a warm, welcoming Polish atmosphere. I highly recommended this place. Mention my review.
