SALT Beer Factory in Bradford

Had a good night untill I recieved a parking charge for £100 (£60 if I pay within 14 days) I apealled and just had a reply saying as a good will gesture i can pay £20 if paid within 14 days. This was after sending copies of payments made at the bar prooving I was in the bar. Not happy as I now have to spend more time to apeal again. i will not be returning and will be telling as many people as possible to avoid

Excellent beer selection, relaxed vibe

A fantastic place for lunch or just a drink, of which there is a vast array. Welcoming friendly staff. Delicious pizzas and chicken wings. Well worth a visit if you're in Saltaire. Also dog friendly.

I used to regard this place as the "Best pub on earth in my humble opinion. Certainly in the area!". That was my previous review. Because they have 5 star beer, and used to have 5 star pizzas. But the past 5 or 6 times I have been for food, the pizzas have really gone down hill. I always get a pepperoni pizza, and the original one was a winning formula. It had pepperoni, chilli flakes and rocket, on top of a cheesy pizza, for £13.50. It was great! Then they changed the rocket out for hot honey, having a load of honey poured over your pizza and no rocket to freshen it up made it not nice. Then they got rid of the honey, so now it is pepperoni and chilli flakes for £13.50. £1 extra for rocket. I ordered that (pepperoni pizza + rocket for £14.50) and wasn't impressed cos it had hardly any cheese. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and didn't complain. Next time I came in I ordered a Margherita pizza (£9.50) with pepperoni (+£2), cos I'm not arsed about chilli flakes and didn't fancy paying £14.50 for a bit of rocket, but it was absolutely shocking. Hardly any melted mozzarella, on a 'Margherita', on which I paid extra for a bit of pepperoni. And then it must have come out of the oven looking pathetic, so they put a bit of extra uncooked grated cheese on top of it. I have been really disappointed with the pizzas the past 5 or 10 times I have been here, so have to downgrade my review unfortunately. Please go back to the original winning pepperoni pizza formula (pepperoni, rocket, chilli flakes). Better to charge 25p extra if it's a cost of living thing than ruin the entire experience. Please sort it out, the pub has gone down in my estimations recently (particularly the pizzas)!

Lovely building, great beers, nice food. Can't fault the place. Highly recommend.

Great staff, good vibe. Only downside is a lack of seating downstairs. Large tables with just two people sat on them doesn't help.

Saturday 5th April 2025 This pub is a massive open planned 2 floored real ale pub which has a plethora of hand pumped ales on lots Ossett brewery ales This pub is always very full well staffed here with a really big front beer garden A must to visit when drinking in Saltaire

Nice pub. shame about the parking visited on Saturday 15.03. 2025 and received a £100 parking fine payed the fine early now trying too get my payment back absolute joke .I wasn't aware that you had too input your vehicle reg when entering the premises poor signage in the car park and in the venue not the sort of thing you look for when visiting the venue. Managed to make contact with the salt bar they are trying to get my parking fine cancelled hopefully won't be to long before I get renpursed

What an amazing venue. We visited for lunch and the ambiance, staff, food and of course the beer, was amazing. Dog friendly, child friendly and grandad friendly 👍👍👍👍

Great buzz and great beer. Staff efficient and friendly. Tip - if booking for food don't request the restaurant - no atmosphere, no music, dark and freezing from the air con.

SALT Beer Factory has to be one of the best things Saltaire can offer its citizens and visitors! A fantastic open and spacious local microbrewery and bar offering a good variety of self brewed and great beers with sweet decor, interior and with a great vibe. I would’ve easily have gone several times again if I could. Bonus, they’re Untappd verified!

It was a busy night (Saturday) and so quite loud. That said, food arrived quickly and was tasty, good selection of beers, really nice serving staff and not too expensive. Clearly one of the 'go to' places in Saltaire so well worth a visit.

Cool place and friendly helpful staff. They brew their own pale ales here and they are ok. I think the building itself does not fit in with the rest of the village sadly.

Good food great selection of beers

Decent bar but their parking situation is appalling. We visited for the first time and parked in their car park at the back. You wouldn't expect one attached to a bar to be run by a private company, but here we are. There are no signs on the bar and no comments from staff, telling you that you need to enter your vehicle registration into a keypad on site. Despite buying a few pints and wines we were slapped with a parking fine. And despite showing evidence that we were patrons of the bar (receipts etc) they refused to hear our appeal. I'm usually one to hold my hands up here, but it really soured the experience. Get rid of the private parking system or warn your guests.

Great place. We went for a pizza and a crafted beer and food was good and beer even tastier. Atmosphere and customer service both were excellent. Probably the best place in Bradford.

What a place! We just had drinks today with a go on the shuffle board, such an incredible building, very clean, great staff and we got to watch the team hand stretching pizzas!!!! I’d like to come back for a tour of the brewery

Great venue and a good selection of beers

This place kind of blew my mind. Firstly the venue is amazing. I couldn't help but look around at all the interesting details from the history of the building and it's more modern usage. The beer choice was fantastic with a great range available not limited to SALTs own brews. Cask, keg and cans available. This in itself would have been enough for a 5 ⭐ review. The food was decent and brought to our table which meant we didn't have to leave. I can't sing the praises of this place enough. If you are nearby get yourself in because it is well worth a visit.

Friendly staff, lots of different areas. Pizza is good and the selection of beers is good plus parking is available. We went today for an NCT reunion and took our babies/ prams. There is a room on the right with no stairs where you can have table service for food.

One word here AMAZING PLACE for Ales. It’s a really good mix of young and mature people here . Very impressive building split into two. Which used for the old trains. I’ve been here a coupe of times and it’s better every time I come here. Well managed with door staff. You simply can’t sample every beer cider or Ale. It’s a must see when you’re in the area!

Stumbled on this place on a recent visit to Saltaire. I’ve had the beer before, but wasn’t aware it was brewed here. Great vibe inside, plenty of own brewed beers and some more well known brands. The SALT Jute IPA is sooo nice. We didn’t eat, but the pizzas looked good. Pop in if you’re passing, you won’t regret it.

Nice modern-classic decor, with large open feel. Clean washrooms, great food and good service. Recommend the pizza and a local pint. Bring friends, there is lot's of room and free parking out back. Thete is a nice open picknic area if you smoke or like to sun while relaxing. A must visit if in Saltaire.

Great pizzas! Been a few times now and its becoming a fast fave. The gluten free base is fantastic and above the quality of other restaurants! We'll be back! :-)

A large pub establishment, drinks and decent selection of food. Fairly busy for a Tuesday night, but we went to the pub quiz, which was fun (lots of avid quiz goers there though). Would recommend for a quick bite to eat if you are passing. The fresh pizzas are a highlight.

Lovely staff, beautiful building, great beer, and (overall) fantastic food. Have to deduct two stars, though, for the utterly bizarre decision to cover an otherwise delicious stonebaked pizza with TINNED MUSHROOMS?! Of all the things to cheap out on this has to be the weirdest and most unpleasant one to choose - I'm sure most people would prefer a sparse covering of actual fresh sliced mushrooms than half a tin of tasteless grey rubber, surely?

Brilliant bar, serving salts own kegs, ossett cask ales and fresh tasty pizza. What's not to like about this place ? Definitely worth a visit. 👍👌

Really well presented place great food reasonable priced. Staff are very polite and helpful. My partner said if she had to pick one small fault it would have been that no staff member came around to check that the food was alright, for me I agree however it was perfect and well presented . It took around 20 minutes for the food to come out, but again, freshly cooked and prepared. Drink prices were a little on the expensive side. Single vodka lime and soda and a pint of cider came to £10.50. Will visit again.

The pizzas are superb I ordered the Jamacian Jerk Lamb which was so tasty and fresh. Great beers, service and value for money and a brillant atmosphere.

When I first went in the two people behind the bar were knelt down attending to something on the floor? Not being in a rush I decided to go to the toilet. Came out and waited patiently at the now busy bar to be served. When it should have been my turn to be served, the bartender served someone else. Walked out without purchasing a drink. Toilets are nice though.

We've always liked the pizzas and the atmosphere here. The reason for the review is the lady (short brown hair and glasses - maybe her name was Caroline..? who was working over the weekend (13th and 14th april). She was smiling warm and welcoming from the start. Nice and talkative and informative. So friendly and treat us like we were the 1st customers of the day (even though she must have been busy as the grand national was on) so she was certainly busy. Great service!

Nice pub with well kept cask BUT all spoilt by outsourced punitive parking company, that even though the car park states 'Parking for customers of SALT Brewery only', they refuse to waive fines even if you can provide evidence of being a paying customer (in this case bank statements for drinks purchased) Understand they don't want their car park abused but it looks like a pub car park so people understandably think they are all good as long as they are buying a drink and/or food The buck stops with the pub - it's their choice to outsource to the company.

Not worth the predatory and manipulative parking fines for a simple user error with proof We have been loyal and long term customers but after my dad input his car reg incorrectly (as he is not very tech savvy) we have been chased by ParkingEye's predatory fine practices and left with a hefty fine even after submitting photos and bank statements proving we were customers at the exact same time as the parking fine. In their defense they did offer to help however we had already started an appeal due to the predatory language and threat of ridiculous price increases. As such they were unable to cancel the fine after an appeal was submitted. I Really like the area as my family come from the Salts mill town, with my 90 year old grandad who grew up down the road we often take for a meal. We often visit with lots of family and friends but this has left us with a bad experience. Not worth the risk, many other tap houses/restaurants in the area that are probably worth supporting instead. Sad when a company can’t help customers due to an automated and predatory parking fine.

This was my first order with Salt Beer Factory and the order hasn’t even arrived yet but I’m impressed with their communication and correspondence skills. I will make sure to update my review when the items arrive but so far Salt Beer Factory are demonstrating how to perform outstanding customer service.

Went for son in laws 40th. Food was excellent only pizza, chips chicken wings salad etc, but all presented nice pizza base was beautiful. Staff where friendly and helpful

First time in solitaire. Beer factory is large building. Lots of places to sit inside and out. Lots of history. Fascinating to see the brewery. Had a couple of small snacks. And coffee . All good.

First visit to SALT Beer Factory. I was very impressed. Spacious and well appointed environment. Good access to the bar and extremely efficient, friendly and helpful staff. I will definitely be coming back.

Awful food...didn't eat chicken wings as daughter said they tasted old and as I have just been ill I didn't want food poisoning. All chips were raw so all had to be sent back with the danger they would come back as floor chips. Pants really

Nice atmosphere in a historic building BUT like any big old building, is cold inside. I clocked the barmaids wearing 2 tshirts early on and thought that was a bit odd for someone who should be working flat out... but after an hour I had my beanie on and was sat on my down jacket. Is it too much to knock it up a couple of degrees? Even the dogs have gloves.

We had a SALT beer at Ilkley cinema - never heard of it before, so set off on an expedition , in this horrid weather, for a morning at Salts Mill with lunch at the beer factory. Good Best pizza , really good salad. The beer - fantastic Huck a back Neipa.

We held our wedding reception at SALT recently and had the most amazing experience. Poppy's communication in the lead up was great & the bar staff/ team were fantastic throughout the day & evening. Food was fantastic, beer was great, what more could you need? We couldn't be happier with our experience and wouldn't hesitate to book future events at SALT. Thanks for everything! :)

Went for a walk on the canal & dropped into Salt for a drink, as I was driving I ordered a pint of Pepsi Max it was £3 which is disgusting no wonder people drink & drive. I won’t be bothering again..

Quite a nice lunch should expand more food wise not everyone likes pizza ..which was very nice but would have liked more choice.. Atmosphere was very good as was service nothing to grumble about I definitely would go back but more food choice would make it more of a destination

This was a great restaurant to dine in at, with a vintage design based somewhat around trains! The old tram line and frames create this, the menu is very clear and toilets were clean. I had a very cheesy Margarita pizza and drink, sitting at comfortable seating although the price was expensive for 30 minute wait.

Good range of beers. Pizza bar inside. Sport on TVs. What more could you ask for? Don't forget to fill in your car registration on the terminal at the bar or you'll get a parking fine... ask me how I know...

Really interesting building - great to sit in the taproom and see where the beer is made. As well as a great selection of beers, we had some pizzas that were also really delicious.

The atmosphere and the food are great here! If you're looking for a place to go with the whole family, a group of friends, or work colleagues you'll find everything you need. Absolutely worth a visit!

Food has gone sooooooo far downhill :( used to love this place but they’ve redone the menu clearly to cut costs. They’ve taken loads of good stuff off the menu (no chicken or nduja pizzas anymore) and altered other items to be cheapo versions. The pepperoni looks like it came from the pound shop, the loaded fries have that horrible cheese sauce now instead of cheese, you get less and pay the same if not more. I mean for £13 a pizza I’m sure they could get some quality ingredients. It’s a shame, we came 1-2 times a week in the past and brought all our guests here when visiting, and won’t be eating here again it was so disappointing.

Finally paid a visit over, after trying one of the taps in Leeds. The staff were lovely, and the food was good too. What more need I say about the beer, fantastic.
