Sake in Tameside

I ordered the seafood udon, decent seafood amount and lovely udons, the broth was tasteless and watery. Kimchi was underwhelming and the amount you received was shocking, £4.50 for 3 bites. Apologies to be critical but this was disappointing.

I ordered Wednesday, from here, and the food was phenomenal, so fresh and tasty HOWEVER, I ordered almost the same stuff tonight, (Saturday) and it just doesn't seem as fresh. Going off Wednesday this would have been 5 stars but I'm a little disappointed in the continuity

My go-to takeaway for me and my partner. Filling portions that are hot and ready! Can't go wrong with Sake. Lovely drivers too 👍

I absolutely love this place! Everything spot on. Tried several of the dishes, never had a bad one.

First time ordering. Chicken and rice dishes nice but didn’t like the kimchee. Stir fried veg was ok but will try tempura veg next time. Will definitely order again, dishes arrived hot and tasty!

Absolutely diabolical food. The beef shichimi bento box was bland and full of old oil, the beef was tough and dry, the vegetables were slimy, the rice had no flavour and was mushy. The tofu was inedible so that has been refunded, the only decent thing was the gyoza and even that wasn't very good. avoid this place at all costs. A waste of £30.

This is the second time I've ordered from Sake, the first time I wasn't overly impressed with the Ramen as it was a tad bland. But today I was impressed, the menu has expanded a little since I last ordered (not too much that it's trying to please everyone) I ordered the veggie gyosa ramen and it was much more flavoursome, my husband had the chicken ramen and enjoyed it. We also had a few sides and again, they were good. It's great to see a take out in Droylsden that isn't a curry or kebab house (nothing wrong with these 😂 just good to have some variety), I hope to guys keep going from strength to strength.

Udon was quite salty, but chicken katsu curry was amazeballs

Delivered incorrect food to our house which I plated up as my wife had ordered and I didn't know it was incorrect. They insisted we return the food as it was meant for another customer and demanded we box it back up. This is surely illegal and I wouldn't trust any order from them. When bringing us our missing food they asked us to check what they had delivered and again had wrong items which they also requested back for delivery to another customer. No apology during this whole time for the inconvenience not to mention the cold food we ended up with which we ended up throwing away as who knows where it's been.

Delivered wrong food, then asked back despite it being opened and touched by us, all whilst talking about how it's meant for another customer. They then brought our missing food but again had incorrect items which we had opened to check before requested back for another customer again. Be careful as you don't know where your order has been or who has touched it. Not to mention no apology for the inconvenience.

Not great, food was absolutely awful no taste at all and not all the chicken was cooked 100% ever what a waste of money

First time trying this place and everything was great besides ramen, unfortunately bland and the meat was grey and chewy. I’ll definitely be ordering again because the wings and the gyoza were delicious!

Delivery was fairly quick, driver was polite and pleasant, food arrived hot and was great tasting - ordered salmon teriyaki and salmon teriyaki bento box. Will order again.

Avoid at all cost! Just order through Uber Eats as my favorite place shut down. The food is just terrible, we order a veggie ramen soup, chips and styr fry and is probably the worst we've ever had. The noodles where overcooked, the ramen seem like miso soup with noodles and gyoza, the chicken tastes like bad frozen nuggets. And the worst of all is the high price of the dishes in comparison with other places in the city. My advice is to avoid it and find another restaurant.

food tasted like fish so i didn’t eat utb

I've had sushi from a few places in Manchester and most have been priced well in excess of Sake. I've eaten from Sake a few times now and each time the sushi has been fresh and flavoursome. The rice is cooked well. Not under or over sticky and prepared just right. I had the 12 piece variety sushi and I had tuna, prawns, mackerel octopus , salmon and a fish I didn't know lol. All very fresh. Was also served with some extras for free. I never comment on food but after so many disappointing sushi bars and restaurants have not met my expectations I think this place deserves a shout out and definitely for me is 5 star for sushi. My son also loves the chicken Ramen soup.

I can’t remember how I found out about sake but I’m so glad I did! Both the hot food and sushi are simply wonderful! It’s clear the chef takes pride in the quality of their craft. I have only ever ordered for delivery and every time the driver is very friendly and polite. If you know about sushi this place is the best around! Phenomenal quality and flavour! My only wish is that they sold the Java curry sauce in a larger serving! Highly recommend

Guys, here is a really brutal review and trust me I eaten a lot of ramen in Manchester so make sure to read the whole thing. This place... oh dear... not good. The beef ramen's soup base was so "flavourless" it may as well had been water mixed with a little miso paste. A Nissin Ramen powder pack would have been better and cheaper... The beef portion you get in the ramen was not as good as other establishments in Manchester. Guys, for ramen, go to Wasabi in China town or Shogun in Cholton for better ramen. This RAMEN feels like it was made by woke western cook. I reject them being called Chef's. The Chicken Karage, fried too dark, lacking flavour and dry. Does not come with your typical Karage such as the fine cut cabbage and a little Kewpie Mayo to dip. Just a sad bag of chicken... fk me... Lastly the Teriyaki Chicken Wings... my god. Not good. The only thing that came to mind when eating this was it made me want to commit Seppuku. As a wise Suguru Geto once said. "Saru Wa Kirai" and who eats here and enjoyed it. = Saru Domo!

The food was excellent, flavours and authenticity especially the kitchen and main course pickles on the side. I suggest trying both the Korean and Japanese dishes. An absolutely 💯% recommendation from me and a take away that I will go back too regularly to explore the menu further.

First time ordering. Friendly delivery driver. Tasty food. Bulgogi donburi was spicier than I anticipated. Edamame, kimchi, tofu salad, Korean wings were v tasty and good portion size. Bentos slightly smaller than imagined, but nice quality/well packaged. Would order again

We've been ordering from here via Just Eat for a while now. We're a little on the further side considering delivery distance, but I really appreciate them still delivering. Huge fans of the Temaki (we used to get this from other sushi places, glad they have it here too). I'd really recommend the veggie katsu too - so good!

Prawn tempora consisted of four pieces, so that's £2 per piece, kinda expensive but was decent enough. The takoyaki was fine, as usual. Sadly the torikatsu was luke-warm when it arrived, and the sauce had set into a gloop.

Great Yakisoba, great Gyoza and but 4 stars instead of 5 because I didn't see a desert menu. If there was then I apologise but I guess I'll check the physical menu to check.

Ordered via uber eats for a veg gyoza ramen and it came with a piece of beef in it, rang up and was offered no apology just that the chef ‘must’ve got it mixed up’. An absolute joke after being veggie for 20+ years i could’ve accidentally ate meat from this joke of a takeaway. Avoid at all costs.

Was given the wrong order so had to call. The driver had delivered my order to another address so had to come back to swap it. Food had gone colder by the time I received it.

Food really isn’t that nice. Got a chciken and beef teriyaki and the flavour was lacking…. Like really lacking. Rice was stodgy not sticky. The duck gyoza was weird tasting. I’ve had much better food than this and won’t be back sorry. But it really wasn’t nice at all.

Tried this place 3 times to see if it was just a one off but can safely say its consistly minging / cold / not fresh .

The food was really nice and came in very generous portions. The Korean spicy chicken meal was amazing as was the pork ramen! We will definitely be ordering from here again!

Arrived within the estimated window but earlier than expected. Food was great. We were looking for a new sushi restaurant since our previous favourite has gone downhill and sake didn’t disappoint on the whole! Some ‘no pretty’ cuts of sashimi and some rubbery squid but otherwise delicious!

This was a great experience. I've had chicken katsu curry for the first time in my life, the chicken was crispy and the sauce was still warm. It was only mildly spicy. I loved it. The amount was a reasonably good amount. I also have gastritis so I can't eat everything but this food did not upset my stomach much, it was that good. I slept like a baby. I will order again.

I bought pork yakisoba and chicken gyoza. Both were great. And delivery. Even though I put on time was 5 minutes late but I don't mind since the food was worth the wait.

I oredered via deliveroo, Beef bulgogi was delicious, yet too spicy for me, takoyaki (octopus balls ) were warm and delicious but most was dough and only a tiny piece of octopus inside, But it delivered on time and it was so warm

Absolutely beautiful sushi was really fresh and prawn Katsu was beautiful only thing I could say that could have had more curry sauce but that is just personal preference, it was all really good quality would 100% recommend and will definitely order from here again!

I am a great fan of Katsu Curry, and have tried it from dozens of different sources - restaurants, ready meals, and making it myself from scratch. However, without exaggeration, this place makes the very best I have ever had the pleasure of trying. They use traditional Japanese rice that has an incredible sticky yet chewy texture that I absolutely love. The Katsu Curry sauce was completely on another level - I have never tasted any food with such an amazingly rich, spicy, and addictively delicious taste - and they fill it with perfectly cooked vegetables too. Today I made a somewhat unusual request for my Katsu curry to have eggs instead of chicken, and the restaurant very kindly made my curry just as I requested, and the food came piping hot. This restaurant has been my go to for all East Asian dishes for a long time, and they have never let me down. Many thanks for such amazing meals for all that time. :)
