Be very aware of this place. No prices are advertised and they seem to make up the prices depending on who you are. Food was bland with no flavour. Your better off getting a Tesco meal deal than visiting this place.

Deliberately overcharged as others have said. Handed the card machine which was £45 for five drinks - I asked for an itemized receipt to see exactly what I had been charged for and had been charged for '11 items'. No idea what they were supposed to be as receipt didn't say. Obviously a deliberate attempt to scam customers who will just swipe their card.

Scammers! We ordered for around £15 and when we went to pay we got a bill for £60! We did not notice this at the time and paid. When we found out we went back and got our money back... or so we thought. We got our money back in a weird foreign currency! And when we wanted to pay with that money the next day, we were told that it was Northern Irish money and that it was not accepted! Never go here! Pure definition of scammers! And that's not all... The service was horrible... waited like 20 minutes for two drinks and two slices of pie.

I’ve used St James Caffé on several occasions, but today I was somewhat put off. I only had a coffee which, although small and relatively expensive at £3.80, was fine. What I disapproved of was that the lady who I paid decided it was her choice to decide ‘Yes, I’ll add a tip’ as I paid with my card. She very quickly pushed the ‘add tip’ button and charged me £4.10. I may well have added a tip myself, but that is my decision, not hers. Beware!

We came here on a very warm late September day, looking for a cup of tea. The staff were polite and helpful but it was not very busy so perhaps they had more time to be so (cynical, I know). The tea was actually rather good, hot and strong-ish. We also had a slice of a apple tart, which was ok, nothing special. Toilet was very clean. £12.40 for two.

We popped in here for a quick and cheap bite to eat. There were no prices for the paninis we wanted - we were just told to choose from the salad counter. We had one tuna cheese melt and one goats cheese and vegetable panini with two small coffees. The total price was £27. The food was ok but spending £10 on each panini was a joke. I’d avoid this one - there are plenty of great places around and so I think the owners are just taking advantage of the tourists!

The tables inside are Tiny....smallest I have ever seen and uncomfortably small. Also the tables for 2 at the wall are simply too close to the wall. Food is good. Service ok. Not bad overall.

£27 for two sandwiches plus two drinks and service is too much. It is taking advantage of being in St James. My pear smoothie at £5 was simply pear juice and having put service of 10% on the bill, I was asked if I wanted to add a gratuity when I paid by card. If you want to eat for less Pret a Manger is 50 yards down the road. Nice staff though and friendly service.

St James' Cafe is fantastically located on Pall Mall. I use the cafe regularly for meetings. When full it can be quite a squeeze but otherwise quite comfortable. The food is okay.

No importa. Vayan!

A short walk off Haymarket or from St James park thus cafe is midway along the famous Pall Mall. An opportunity to sit outside and watch the world go by or inside and chat to the friendly staff. I loved the Italian dishes and cabinet food.

I popped in for a cup of tea as I found this place some months ago. The tea was very good quality but served in a small cup so for £3 it was expensive. The food and cake looked good though.

I have always been a huge fan of Eataly in London and New York, and have eaten there several times! This visit was awful! From the girl at front of house who was so miserable, like she couldn’t be bothered, her first words to us were “you’ve got two hours”, not a great welcome, to the bland, disappointing food and rushed wait staff! We went for an early Father’s Day lunch but won’t be returning which is a shame as we’ve always enjoyed it before.

We stopped by in this restaurant on the way to Prince Edward theater. Bruschetta was bad, the bread was toasted like a hell and cannelloni wasn't good at all. We ordered sparkling water which wasn't cold.
