Sainsburys Cafe - Blackpool in Blackpool

Avoid at all costs, We called into this store to get some snacks & use the disabled toilets, upon arriving we noticed how grotty and dirty the streets and the entrance to this big store was, there were gangs of Feral kids, beggars, and undesirables hanging around. We felt unsafe walking to the entrance of the store, after purchasing some items, we asked the staff if we could use the Disabled toilets to freshen up before our night out. When we got to the toilet area all doors were locked, also the Cafe was locked/closed. I asked the staff why we couldn't use the facilities, they say that they had all been wrecked and smashed up by undesirables who frequently use the toilets for illegal activities. We left the area after that

If I could give a lower score then I would !!!! I went to the cafe this morning hoping be able to get some gluten free breakfast .. I was told “we don’t do that stuff here” and was offered ordinary bread, soup ( at 8:50am ) or a vegan sandwich - not gluten free! I think this is absolutely disgraceful. It’s a supermarket café- the store have shelves of gluten free food so why not cater for it ? Yet again penalized by Sainsbury’s for having a medical Condition.

Before catching the train back to Liverpool after our four wonderful days spent in this eclectic seaside resort we dropped into this Sainsburys to grab a few things to chomp through on the train back to Merseyside, sandwiches, crisp,cola and the like and we dropped by the cafe housed in here ,grabbed a cappuccino, it was nice ,not the best cappuccino I've ever tasted but certainly not the worst ,staff were nice and the Sainsburys store looked really impressive, a huge modern building located overlooking the train station, if your in the shopping department store most definitely well worth checking out .

On Sunday we went to Sainsbury’s for something to eat, I ordered the salmon with chips and salad. When it arrived the salmon was not cooked so sent it back. To my surprise when I got it back it was a fresh meal not just reheated. Very impressed

Had a coffee and a hot beef bagette. The coffee was ok but the beef bagette was lovely. The beef was really tender and the bagette was nice and crisp. Service was slow like others have said but I was in no hurry

Unusual for a large Supermarket to find such an excellent cafeteria area. On the mezzanine floor, it has good views over the railway station area and on the other side over its own shopping area. Food is certainly great, especially the very large jacket potatoes. Prices very breasonable.

dont eat here on a weekend the food is terrible and some staff are nice and some are rude food is cold. i have been servel times and i am not going again at all never i am sorry but the food is rubish.

Been a couple of times, the food is ok, limited menu and depending on the time of day you visit will depend what is left to offer. Not cheap for what they offer.

Great place for a cuppa and cake if you want a rest after your shopping. They also do very nice meals and snacks at reasonable prices. Sainsburys is opposite the railway station so not too far from the main shopping centre.

Had lunch while shopping. Ham egg chips very tasty and a moroccan salad which is low fat but very tasty. Coffee not too strong. Quick service.

most of the time they offer nice meals but they are hit and miss i believe that they offer a wide range of meals but this time the food was respectable would not not recommenced for a meal out with family.

we went for dinner i had ham salad my wife had a all day breakfast and two coffees both tasty meals really nice will have again when we go again . i can recommend to everyone

On a positive note I love the supermarket but the cafe badly lets it down. We had a quick bite of lunch and my jacket potato with tuna and sweetcorn turned out to be a potato with a grey gloopy mess on top. There was little evidence of any tuna amongst the mayonnaise and sweetcorn and the thing was tasteless, sadly the accompanying salad was dry and totally unappetising. Similarly, we left the coffee as it was unpalatable. Having to walk back to the counter to us for salt pepper and vinegar didn't exactly turn me on either. I have always considered Sainsbury's to be a quality brand but there was very little quality and evidence on this visit and there are lots of nice diners ashore distance away.

Stopped in for a quick breakfast upon arriving in Blackpool. Was reasonably priced, served to the table quickly and tasted good. Could not ask for more.

had a full breakfast that tasted devine would love to know where they get the sausages from for the breakfast they were delicious very clean and staff helpful

The food is always of a good standard and the staff are helpful and friendly. There are toilets on the same floor as the cafe. The cafe has a light spacious feel to it... There are sofa, comfy chairs and more formal chairs.

Excellent service...wanted snack...ended up having omelette and chips,..excellent value for money and very tasty and nicely presented... Highly recommended also try large breakfast.

Went early on a Saturday morning for a latte and piece of banana bread. Coffee okay but not impressed by quality of the bread nor low hygiene standards in handling it (sliced and handled with bare hands by guy who handled the cash)

Great cafe if you want a coffee or lunch away from the town,very pleasant staff especially the lady who takes your orders,good seating and plenty of room and the best chips I’ve had in a long time.

Called in for Sunday morning breakfast and as it had just opened wasn't too busy. Very good clear menu, reasonably priced. Opted for the 2 eggs, 2 bacon and toast deal for £3 each plus coffees, a bargain at £9 for 2. Everything was excellent, served hot and the tables and cutlery etc spotless. Service was very good and friendly and would definitely recommend.

Service was very slow - doesn't seem to be any organisation behind the tills at all. Once you have placed your order you then have to queue for drinks. This process is so slow that your food usually comes out of the kitchen whilst you are still queuing for drinks. This leaves staff wandering around looking for your order number which is still on the tray waiting for the drinks - so food is often cold once it has been paraded around the cafe a few times. Queued today for 15 mins just for a sandwich. The prawn sandwich was disgusting. No taste at all in the prawns which were supposed to be in mayo which was more like wallpaper paste. Poor choice of healthy snacks if you want something warm. Would have liked something like beans on toast but only choice was something fried. Settled for a tuna mayo jacket. This was more like mayo with a few flakes of tuna added - very poor quality.

We visited Sainsburys Café as its a nice and comfortable place to relax when waiting for the train back home and when you need a rest from the walking around Blackpool.

We decided to try the cafe when we had called to some shopping and we were very surprised how nice, clean it was. We order a sandwich and a drink and enjoyed it very much. Whilst eating I could not help but notice the meals which were being served, they looked very nice.

Long queues at counter due to lack of staff. Only 1 person serving & taking orders, so queue never got shorter. Food ok but not that hot. No hospitality check. Self clearing but many tables not cleared. Not the best restaurant in Sainsburys I'm afraid.

I'm afraid there's no point in commenting on the appaling loo situation or on the real quality of food in the café or the friendliness of all staff: your comments aren't being read. (No response...ever!)

This is virtually a brand new store in Blackpool and we called into the cafe for quick coffee before we boarded a train at Blackpool North Station which is just across the road. We were greeted by a very long queue which moved VERY slowly. We only wanted a cup of coffee but there was only 1 lady serving drinks and she was working very slowly...don’t get me wrong she was very pleasant but she told every customer about how she likes to clean the equipment after every drink served and various tales of how she kept burning herself. It took 20 mins from point of ordering to receiving our coffee - this really needs addressing be it more staff or better training! Its a clean cafe but please don’t go there if you are limited at all for time!

Almost every visit, throughout the year. THREE gentleman's loos out today, including a disabled. This is surely unacceptable! But for the quality (pricey!?) groceries and lovely café would anyone put up with the store?

This must be one of the best super stores in the uk. I've been impressed with cafe/restaurant but the whole shopping experience here is "special". Must be a blue print for future stores. It has that sense of space & light with everything you need & good value for money; Lots of great budget buys. Definitely a cut above your Lidl's & Aldi's. I like a bargain but I do like quality & the few pence extra here is definitely worth it with Sainsburys. This store is 10 out of 10. *****

Never in my life have I had a breakfast that was this bad bacon was raw sausage freezing told them no hash browns they put on plate when I told them they took hash browns of with there hand toast wasn't even toasted disgusting

We went in to Sainsbury's almost by accident whilst on holiday, needing somewhere to park. However, we decided to try their cafe and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and prices. The food was so good that we returned everyday during our stay!

I visited at 8.00am and there was only another 2 tables of 2 in the dining area. My bacon was almost raw and the mushroom was raw. I gave the benefit of the doubt and tried again some weeks after only to get to the counter to see a sign saying "NO TEA" I was not happy as I always have tea at breakfast so I left without ordering.

I always go here if I'm in the area. It's good food, and good value, with staff that are polite. Definitely recommended.

Sainsburys Blackpool café - lovely food and staff. Much higher standards than a regular supermarket café... But why does there always seem to be a loo problem. Two closed today (normal for one to be closed!) It spoils the visit.

We went there for a lunch and drinks and the price very reasonable and very clean. The staffs were very nice and overall brilliant.

Food to a good standard. Friendly staff. Always willing to help. Carol is always friendly and always willing to assist with any issues. Reasonable price. Use quite regular.

Had breakfast there and as we didn't want sausages we had to have everything charged individually which showed just how expensive it is - rasher of bacon 80p, fried egg 70p, hash brown 70p, baked beans 70p, fried bread 45p, round of toast 45p, plain black coffee £1.45 - but it was freshly prepared.

I can't vouch for the food, but in the 21st Century when you're paying over £2 for a coffee it should be decent. Sainsbury's cafe seems to aspire to mediocrity and often fails to meet that level. A bit more effort ( and training) please

Just popped in for a quick lunch with my daughter before doing the dreaded shopping. Nice hot food staff very friendly and helpful nice and clean toilets very clean too.

I had an omelette which was a long way from being fluffy. Far too much salad. The place is clean and tidy. Friendly staff. A typical supermarket cafe.

Sainsburys in Blackpool is the best thing that's happened to the Town in a long time. A spotless Cafe which is terrific value for money and a great shopping experience; particularly the clothes. Parking is easy and free and you can comfortably shop for most groceries and household items. All supermarkets should be just like this one. Well done!!!

It was suggested that our group of 13, following a day of photography on the prom, should meet here before the long trek south. It turned out to be ideal (once we had been all the way round the block to find the car park entrance).

On my last visit I opted for the lasagna with salad and it was excellent. The cafe is convenient after a shopping trip. The staff are very friendly and the prices are good too. I have visited the cafe with a group of friend two of whom are disabled and the staff have been great in bringing their coffees over for them. The cafe also has free wifi too.

The new Sainsbury's is an excellent place to eat and drink, but when someone reads these messages on here without thinking, it causes everyone a headache, "Oh there is a stain in a teapot" REPORT IT TO Manager, not on here, WHY because Sainsbury's puts a small metal one in its place, which then burns the assistant hands when filling, and the user spills tea over the table because they are a bad design..

Nice friendly place very clean price is fair staff very chatty food is really god cant wait to pop back in.

I have visited the cafe twice now and both times we were served with delicious meals. The first time we had fish and chips and the second a full English breakfast. there was too much food and we were served very quickly The staff are very friendly and helpful and will carry your tray if you need them to do so. would recommend to all if you want a good meal at very reasonable prices.

Popped in with some ex work friends for lunch, couldnt fault the food or the service. Great views across some parts of Blackpool. Spotless toilets And staff were very attentive and could not of been more helpful.

Recently I visited the sainsburys cafe with some work colleagues for a quick lunch unfortunately the service was very slow. It took 3 people to take our order and then we had to wait a long time for the food to arrive. There is so many members of staff works there but they are all wondering around looking like they don't have a clue what they are doing. The staff had no idea about food intolerances ans brought me the book so I could check over the ingredients as they were unaware as to what gluten was.

This Sainsbury's flagship store is actually in the town centre sited opposite Blackpool North railway station - so ignore the post code given which should be FY1.

Clean, tidy, friendly staff. Hot chocolate was absolutely gorgeous. First port of call every time I go to Blackpool

Firstly please note that the Address you have is incorrect, that Sainsbury's is a Sainsbury's Local. This is the Large store in Talbot Road, Blackpool which opened in July 2014. Maybe it can be changed!!

We used this place a few times whilst stayin in blackpool the breakfast is excellent very reasonably priced. With excellent service the big plus is plenty of car parking space which is at a premium in blackpool

We tried this café early into my stay and was pleasantly surprised. The breakfast was not to big and yet not to small. Very well cooked and well served. As a result we ate there 4 times during my stay. Well worth a visit.

Really nice spacious and clean cafe upstairs in the new Sainsbury's. Very clean toilets. The food is very good and reasonably priced and the staff are very helpful. good place to call in when shopping, only niggle was the coffee, it was OK but was served in a mug,

I love coming here a few times a week. I grab some tasty food and read my books or write in my journal. I love the tomato and basil soup... So tasty. I also like the gluten free roll options. This is the only place I know of where I can be out and get a decaf-soya-latte... Best drink ever!!!
