Recently went to the sainsburys petrol station as we live close by but i have noticed the staff recently have been quite rude, uncaring and disgusting towards customers such as the dirty looks and not to mention they usually take awhile to serve you as they’re too busy having their own conversations between themselves!! not very professional at all. all they seem to do is gossip. while here last we were using the cleaning machine when we were hurried by staff!! and instructed to hurry up in quite a rude manner. the whole incident made me feel quite uncomfortable and like they were above me. i don’t recommend due to staff but prices are good.

This review relates to the customer toilets on the main ground floor shopping area. I use this store on a weekly basis and, unfortunately, have needed to use the male toilets on more than one occasion. The urinal in the gents toilet stinks! I have mentioned this in the past to a member of staff, who was completely disinterested. The problem has not been addressed and I am surprised that Sainsburys permit such appalling standards.

We enjoy fish and chips that are cooked for us...and a lovely view while doing so is a great bonus. When this restaurant first came to Weymouth we used it frequently while shopping too it was fine and enjoyable. Sadly it started to go downhill with the food so we stopped going a long time ago. Last week as we were in Weymouth we thought we would try again to see if it had improved. The view was just as good and the hand battered fish (unknown type) delicious. The girl taking the order could have improved her attitude slightly but the young lady who brought us the meal was happy and helpful. The knives and forks were disgusting dirty covered in dried egg not washed properly I had a hard job finding anything that even resembled a decent 4, even those I ended up cleaning myself.Sadly there were already a pile of dirty cutlery that others had left. The ledge by our window was dirty and had litter on it ...I wiped the table with a napkin in water and it came up black after I had cleared the coffee and tea marks off. Not good....Fish excellent, Peas fine, chips slightly over brown and a little hard. Sorry but will not be repeating the experience.

Been here a few times now and will defo not be returning. On two occasions I asked for ice. No1 - they got the bag of ice out of the freezer, the ice cubes had all frozen together, so they decided to put the open bag on the floor and jump up and down all over it (!!!) and then used their fingers to put the ice in the glass. Needless to say the ice was not touched by myself. No2 - this time the ice was not frozen together (hurray) but server still dug her hand in to grab a handful and place it in a glass. Gross. Tuesday afternoon 27th August, having completed our shopping in the store we popped upstairs to this cafe for a coffee before resuming our journey home to Devon. Access to the cafe is at the rear of the store, on the ground floor, there are steps and an elevator. The place was virtually deserted, very few people there, we thought it was closed, the staff behaved as if it was closed, they were a bit reluctant to come to the counter to serve us. We were here at 16.00 and it was not due to close till 19.30. We ordered 2 flat whites, £2.25 each and a packet of Eccles cakes £1.20, then went to find somewhere to sit. Considering the place was all but empty we struggled to find a clean table and one that did not have dirty crockery waiting to be cleared away. Some of the white topped tables were marked with old cup ring marks. The coffee was flavoursome, but the cups were rather small. The Eccles cakes were nice. In summary, good coffee, disinterested staff and the place could do with a good clean.

Today’s worst experience of several iffy ones. One assistant taking orders in batches of 12, then attending to hot drinks, result order placed 19 minutes later hot drinks served. Staff wandering about the tables with peoples orders because they are still waiting for hot drinks. Elderly lady on table next to use had her order flung down promptly to be spayed with table cleaning liquid cloud from gormless young man covering surrounding tables 6 at a time before returning to wipe them. Food eventually arrived Luke warm, tired dry leaf garnish with cucumber cut with chain saw. Went to Customer Services, who were constantly unsuccessfully tannoying for different managers? Eventually male without ID badge appeared dealt with first person in queue and left with no apology/explanation to rest of long queue. Only half hearted we are very busy offered as reason. Suggest stores management if they exist are retrained if not fired appalling.

Well, what can I say. Here we go again with the lack of ordering in the cafe. When there is no sugar sachets available, one must resort to taking sugar out of a bowl. It is not just the sugar but also the lack of cold drinks available from the fridge. I mean, there is a whole supermarket just downstairs. Looks like some of the staff can't be bothered to do their duty of customer care. My point of view, management for the cafe are useless. Let's see if I am approached by the two who think the cafe is running as it should. Plus, short staffed again as one person would be working alone in the cafe later today! Very slow, poor service. Nothing in the fridge I.e. paninis or toasted sandwiches despite it being 1pm lunchtime & menu board said to get from cabinet. Girl serving could hardly make herself heard & looked & sounded like she really couldn’t be bothered. Probably more interested in how her make-up was fairing under the strain of serving. Fake eyelashes are hardly appropriate for serving at a food counter! No knives or teaspoons in the tubs. To then add insult to injury my ‘bacon’ baguette was a huge chunk of french stick with two small bits of bacon in it! Dirty tables, will not be returning needless to say. Although it didn't seem that busy and there were plenty of staff milling around we still had a 35 minute wait for food. The tables were cluttered with crockery. We visited this cafe for supper on a cold Wednesday evening after shopping and were not disappointed. Situated on the top level of the supermarket, the tables and restaurant dining areas were well spaced out and we were lucky to have a window seat to watch an incredible sunset over the nature reserve. The restaurant was quite busy but spotlessly clean in every respect with tables cleared promptly by excellent waitresses who clearly took pride in their job. The food served was cooked freshly and offered great value. We were very impressed with all of the the staff here who came across as friendly and very efficient. It made our meal even more enjoyable. Appalling is just about as much as I can manage for the food. We had a beef baguette with gravy supposedly. The baguette was OK, not as fresh as I would have thought they could manage, the beef was one pre coked slice of cold beef from a packet with a bit of brown water chucked over the top to moisten the baguette - which needed it. Tea was OK but how do Sainsbury's get away with this? They sell good stuff in the food line, why this appalling mess in the cafe?

We have in the past popped down here for a meal when just having a fancy not to cook for a change. If you get a table by the window its a very pleasant outlook towards the sea in the distance and the food is reasonably priced. However the fish and chips have not proved to be as tasty as last year or the year before, and today was no exception. We were told a 20 minute wait..fine we didn't mind but that turned out to be 30 mins. The plates arrived but I felt I had to comment that the fish was rather over done.(no reply) It wasn't burnt but it was very dark brown, chips on the dark side too...garden peas let a lot to be desired. So sadly we have decided not to visit here again. At £11 for the 2 its not an over the top price but it was certainly not value for money in taste and enjoyment...Speaking to another person who took over our table he was saying he had to wait 40 mins the last time he came.

There was a time when some of the tables were wobbly but this issue seems to have been dealt with. Whenever I've had a meal it's always been well cooked and presented and promptly served. I took it back and had a refund .. which they had to get the manager in to supervise .. she did apologise to me .. there were lots of people complaining .dirty tables , no cutlery , the lady near me had a toasted T cake and sent back her butter as it was liquid and was still waiting when I left , I told her to ask for a refund too..l I would bother returning I thought Sainsbury's was a name of quality ?? The sausage looked undercooked but was actually crunchy at one end. We couldn't find a clean table to sit at, all the vacant tables were piled up with dirty crockery and other peoples left overs. I had to clear a table before we could sit down and we ate our lunch looking at wasted food and dirty dishes. It was disgusting. This is fairly new Sainsburys which is at the back believe it or not of Morrisons which is on the Dorcester Road. Its like all the others ample parking and everything you need. Its just across from a Premier Inn and a Beefheater Pub.

Stopped here as we had missed breakfast by packing tent away after a stay in nearby campsite. Ordered brunch and although cafe wasn't that busy we had over a 20 minute wait, food arrived well presented and hot, worth the wait.

We had breakfast at the Sainsburys cafe as we couldn't get breakfast at the nearby Premier Inn where we were staying. We were glad of that in the end as we found the Sainsburys cafe just across the road. Food was hot, good quality and value for money. Coffee was good too. Service was friendly and nice views of the surrounding countryside too.

We are local and go often since this is excellent value for the children;s meal, coffee and the is cheap for certain. We sometimes have a few requests and they are always helpful and also ask IF we are enjoying our food. Have been 5 times in one year and only once were the chips soggy. Complained and was immediately replaced with freshly fried. Good variety and good value. Strongly recommend.

My title says it all. I had fish and chips & pea's in the evening which was excellent and it only cost £5.50. Nice piece of fish white and firm. Breakfast in the morning until 11.30 Scrambled eggs, bacon tomato and a mushroom with toast and a coffee about £5. I was staying at the Premier Inn over the road so it was ideal.Big car park & Petrol Station, car wash.

Sainsburys is very close to the Weymouth Premier Inn, if it breakfast you are after they do an excellent one at half the price of the restaurant next to the PI, and if you are on a budget have your free tea and coffee back at the PI

We popped into Sainsbury's for a teacake and hot drink as it had been recommended by a friend.Having ordered we waited for nearly 20 minutes to have two teacakes toasted. By the time they had arrived we had nearly finished our hot drinks. The lady did apologise for the delay, when she put the teacakes on the table. The cafe was not busy at the time we were there. A family across from us, were obviously not happy with the service either. The good points of the cafe are that you get wonderful views out to White Nothe, as the cafe is on the upper floor. The cafe is light, airy, and spotlessly clean, and decor is modern in its fittings. If staff can speed up the service, it will be a regular venue for us to stop for a snack.

I don't shop in Sainsburys very often as I feel that their food can be very overpriced, however I do occasionally like to visit and look through the clothing when theres a sale on. I visited the cafe couple of times with my mum and my daughter and have had a coffee. All I can say is it's the slowest service for a coffee I've ever experienced and nine times out of ten, The long queue is due to people waiting for coffee rather than to place an order. It's lovely that they freshly brewed and prepare a range of coffee is instead of just using a jar of instant however they really should bring the coffee out to the table if they're going to take so long. Sometimes I've been one of the only people in the cafe and I'm still waiting three or four minutes for a coffee to be made which is difficult with a young toddler running around.I have only eaten once at this restaurant and had a jacket potato. I was disappointed as the jacket potato was extremely dry and there was nowhere near enough filling to fill the jacket. I have purchased my daughter one of the pasta meals before and was disappointed that it was something very similar to what I could buy in a 10 or at a low quality establishment. The story is full of signs advertising how great they are and how they source their ingredients so it would've been good if they put a bit more time into planning the children's menu. The coffee is a good price and it's around the average that you pay at other supermarkets but if you choose to have a cake with your coffee, you end up paying £1 more to eat the same muffin you could buy downstairs on their bakery. I appreciate there is always a mark up when you're sitting in a cafe but I think this is extremely greedy.

I shouldn't expect 5 star cuisine from a supermarket restaurant but Sainsbury's in Weymouth have to be the worst for their breakfast. The baked beans were COLD and I don't mean just luke warm, they were cold. The sausages were tough and chewy. Worst of all and completely unforgiveable was the egg, some of the white was still transparent , therefore it wasn't fully cooked. The restaurant itself is very pleasant, the staff were as friendly as any supermarket employee could be but the food itself was very poor and had I have been ill then I definitely would have taken legal advise & sued them.I will not be eating there again.
