I used to work here 22 years ago. The owner was kind. The food was good.

Customer service is shocking avoid at all costs

The staff is soo rude and there was bugs in the store

Food was sooo disgusting and it was burnt guys don’t come here please for the love of God

Just had Singapore Chow Mein, I like spicy, but I like chow mein, this was a revelation, I've been missing out all these years...

Not sure about the bad reviews but I guess you get some that only ever review when it’s negative 🤷 My food was hot and tasted great when I ordered.

Food was terrible, customer service was terrible. Please, people, spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

This is probably the worst Chinese I’ve been too the chicken balls was like the batter was made out of card board so horrible wouldn’t give them my dog salt and pepper chicken was just pure veg with about 8 little bits of hard chicken Chips was not very nice chow mein was plain and really greasy the rice was not nice either about the only one thing that was okay was the curry sauce So shocked by the quality of this food

Absolutely appalling food, will never order from here again

Out food this evening was delicious. Every dish was so tasty. A while ago I had some rice that wasn't the best but my son loves the chow mein and so decided to try again and I wasn't disappointed. The food arrived on time, very hot by a friendly member of staff. Thank you.

Worst experience by far! I ordered duck with cashew nut and I got chicken and pork. It tasted disgusting. Never again

This is mainly for take out but the last time I used it it was okay for the price but they have good weeks and bad weeks. So lacks a bit of consistency. .

Consistently brilliant quality food. Consistently plentiful portions / good value for money. Consistently friendly service on the phone and delivery. Food always feels clean and fresh and incredibly tasty. Such lovely service and people every time Saigon is definitely one of the best Chinese / Cantonese experiences in Notts Mike (36 Sneinton Hermitage)

Food was below average tonight, but what was worse was when we called to complain the staff was rude and uninterested in making it right. We have used Saigon for many years and this will be the last time we do.

Honestly so annoyed I work hard for my money like us all I spent £47.50 and it was so bad wing's were dry duck was so crunchy and the salad to go with that was beyond dry the rice was all clumpy and most of it was taseless I didn't eat any of it as I wa so unhappy with it I told them.yo come collect the food to I've ordered from here for years but after tonight's rude customer service from the girl attitude I will no be returning so disappointed when I rang up to complain again something I do not do offten but they was not willing to discount next order or refund absolutely disappointed in sigon tonight 😕

So disappointed with tonight's take away..1/4 duck was burnt and nowhere enough for 1 person to eat, Watered down the hoisin sauce to the extend that it won't stay on the pancake, noodles were bland, the ribs had no meat on them, portions have gone down in size, its just not worth the money they are charging,sorry.

First time we have ordered from here, the food was lovely and so tasty, not greasy. Will definitely order again 👍

Order took 95 minutes to arrive after saying it would be 60 minutes. It was 30 mins late. They blamed the weather because it was raining a bit. Food did not taste good at all. It was cold. 2 Items were missing. And portion sizes have shrunk considerably. You get about 12 prawn crackers when you pay for them. Most places give you free prawn crackers with a £31 order. Awful experience all round. This used to be my favourite takeaway, but it was like ordering from a completely different place. Based on other reviews this is very far from an isolated incident. They must have changed hands. Won't be ordering here ever again.

Has this establishment changed hands??portions very small Ordered capital spare ribs and got 1 rib chopped into small pieces the sauce was watery not like the lovely thick red vibrant sauce it use to be It's a shame I use to love this food very disappointed 😥😥

Food is delicious, order over £25 pounds of food and got no pawn crackers, call a next time to place a order and was told that pawn cracker don't come with food when u order this is the only place I heard this bs from

Would be zero stars if I could. Absolutely disgusting. Seems to be hard to find a good Chinese now. Portion sizes are Absolutely tiny for cost. 12 chips for £2.20 shocking. Food luke warm not hot and I only live 1min from restaurant. Spring rolls that smelt and tasted vile actually made me sick. Duck chow meign with only 3 slithers of duck. Tried ringing restaurant 5 times no answer so atleast the bin will get fed tonight. Worst £22 ever spent

I dont think i have ever felt hungry after having Chinese until today! I have just had beef in black bean sauce and my son had a prawn chow main, luckily my son didnt finish his chow main so i could have it but im still not even half full! I asked for beef to be extra spicy and was charged for it but i think someone forgot to add chillies in! Im very disappointed and will not use them again!

I ordered from this takeaway yesterday i did not even know chicken wings could come in the size of chicken nuggets with no taste, disgusting!!! the egg fried rice was like microwave rice , disgusting as well. The portion was so small even a 5 year old belly would not have been filled. i felt sick after eating a bit- was i eating Dog or chicken ??????

Placed order at 2:00 to have a delivery at 6:00. They cancelled the order at about an hour before. I placed the order far in advance. The person on the phone said this was due to a shortage in drivers but they are still doing deliveries. They were delivering other orders that were placed after mine which is just wrong.

The food is absolutely amazing, on a whole different level.

Ordered here many times it's always been a family favourite. The food is lovely, the service has always been excellent and the delivery driver we get is absolutely lovely. Recommend to anyone

I'm afraid I can't comment on the quality of the food! We ordered at 18:55 on a Friday night. I received a message stating that the delivery would be 20:10 at 20 15 I received a message stating that the food would be delivered by 20:30. I phoned the Saigon and the person told me the food was on the way. at 20:45 I called the Saigon & cancelled the order. The delivery was made at 21:11. I refused to accept because we had made other arrangements to eat. I then had to use at least 2 hours of my Sat. morning contacting Just Eat to organise a refund! Should not take orders they cannot deliver.

Had Chicken balls with BBQ sauce, mate had the same but with sweet and sour sauce(which I don't usually like but I tried some and it was better than the others I've tried) lots of substance to each chicken ball and the BBQ sauce was the best I've ever tasted and I have BBQ sauce with anything. The staff were very happy to help and very friendly I'd recommend this place to anyone

Friendly staff,lovely food one of the best Chinese food in town

Be careful of ordering from this takeaway on Just Eat. 40 min later after accepting my order, they cancelled an order via a text message rather than a courtesy call earlier. Kids in melt down as they are hungry and I found out an hour after the order was accepted. Had to quickly place another order with another takeaway, so kids will only get their food at least an hour past their normal meal time.

This is honestly the best Chinese takeaway in Nottingham that I have tried... My family dread when the owners go on holiday as every other takeaway has been a let down... So now we just wait for the owners to comeback before we order any other Chinese.

Worst experience so far..this was my regular chinese..after receiving my order tonight i called them to complain..portion was only tiny but more importantly they forgot to put all the ingredients in it,apart from all them onions and peppers that take half the container.. the woman i spoke to was sooo terribly rude!!! ..thinking she was talking to a child that couldnt tell the difference between chicken from pork..being in the food business myself this arrogant behaviour is unforgivable!!! To think that i would pay another 5£ for a dish to be redelivered because of their mistake is out of this world!!! Not even an apology!!! Steer clear..order from somewhere else that appreciates your custom..

I always like to try different Chinese take away around Nottingham, so I made my first order with Saigon today, food taste was alright could be better. I ordered 6 dishes and it barely fed the 3 of us. The portion size was so little to what i paid for, i can definitely get more portion for the same price somewhere else. I don't think this is a good place if you are ordering for more than 3 people.

Definitely reccomed! We always getting our Chinese from them, for always hot, always delicious, using them for couple of years now, once a month at least and never had bad experience. Plus on a good side if you are ordering more than 10£ you getting fortune cookies:)
