Delicious food, cooked from fresh so made exactly to our liking in terms of spices. Chicken was cooked to perfection and was of good quality. Beautiful restaurant inside and great atmosphere. Friendliest staff around and did not feel rushed at all, they were completely on our every need. Cheeky baby guiness to finish the meal at the end. Usually go to another local Indian but will definitely be switching to this one from now on!

Went in a large party. The food was lovely, meat tender, spices just right and so plentiful that I took half of it home on a takeaway box. Staff were attentive and lovely, venue nicely decorated and atmospheric. Will definitely go again now I have found it - to eat in or takeaway.

Saffron Lounge is our favourite Indian restaurant. It serves amazing food that is freshly cooked to perfection. It is a spotless and clean restaurant. It has a lovely friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The service from Salim and his staff is faultless. We wouldn't go anywhere else x

Amazing! I’ve been to this take away for years, never a bad meal. They opened the restaurant and again, never a bad meal! I recently had a baby with allergies and I’m feeding her so needed to change my diet. I went in to check what, if anything I could still eat. They went through everything that was safe for me to eat and amended some dishes to make them available to me whilst avoiding the allergens! I was dreading changing my diet cos I thought it was going to be stressful but these guys made my life much easier. Baby has been fine with no allergy issues, showing how much care they’re taking when preparing and cooking my food. I’m so grateful I didn’t have to give my fave food up! 😅

Sorry, all reviews broadly positive. Normally order from Station Rd, ordered from here for a change. Cheap, swift, friendly staff...and then the food arrived. I ordered extra extra naga hot, not to everyone's taste but mine. Not one ounce of spice in anything. Like eating a curry placebo. Currently in bin and re ordered elsewhere. Sorry for those that like but i won't touch again.

Visited the restaurant as a big party for the first time recently. The service, atmosphere and food were faultless - the team could not do enough for us. Every dish was fresh and flavoursome. Had a take away tonight and it did not disappoint - again the flavours were outstanding. Just booked again for a family birthday coming up. Thank you to Abdul and his team for this hidden gem in our little village.

We were on our way to a gig in birdwell and called in for a curry. We were warmly welcomed by the staff and quickly seated. We ordered bhajis and prawn puree to start and both were really good. We especially loved the bhajis they were nice and crispy all the way through, perfect. Chicken Rezalla, Thai king prawn karai garlic naan with mushroom rice for mains. The rezalla had a lovely keema type sauce which was really tasty and the prawn karai was really good too. The staff were attentive and the owner spent time to chat. Couldn’t fault anything and we’ll definitely be back if we in the area again. Well done guys.

I can't fault the food as it was very nice. However, if you order a takeaway be prepared to deal with chaos and very bad organisation. My daughter ordered from her home and it took 4 hours for delivery after 3 phone calls to check where it was. I took her advice and decided to order and collect, I was told 30 minutes and I arrived on time to find 4 other people waiting and I stood for 40 minutes longer than the 30 expected (70 in total) and I saw total madness with the very poor organisation.

First class experience, owner very welcoming, staff very friendly food delicious. This Asian Restaurant added to a very successful takeaway, the owner greats you with a smile and can’t do enough for you same as everyone working there. If anywhere deserves success it’s this restaurant. Sensibly priced delicious food. Ok they didn’t get our order perfect but it was still excellent and worth the wait. It’s cash only, coupled with one waiter not being sure which dish was which and getting one order wrong just makes it a four star experience not five, but it’s close. Felt it was worthy of the special occasion we went for.

A Hidden Gem in Sheffield & South Yorkshire. Truly Excellent Food, freshly prepared and served piping hot to the table. Authentic Indian cooking at its very best. The environment and atmosphere is very welcoming and comfortable. The young lady that looked after us and attended to our table is first class, a true ambassador for the Safron Lounge and for customer service at its very best! Highly recommended. A must try. We will certainly be visiting again as soon as possible. Make sure you book in advance as it's very popular.
