Saffron Indian Takeaway in Wirral

Took my order a processed my card when shop is long term closed

Chicken was not tender and bahjis where soggy. Somas where were not good.

Though we'd try here as disappointed with local and reviews good. A little more pricey but quality and authentic. Delivered timely by lovely lady. Chicken naga superb he said the best he's had in years. Chicken tikka main and curry sauce delicious huge pieces of Chicken and lots, enough for next day. Keema rice lovely, Keema naan a little bland, burnt in places. Just pray 🙏 it's consistent as will order again xx

Been here twice now first time for pick up. Second for delivery... Gave 30 minutes time slot but nice man rang to say would we like it sooner which we were very pleased about... Food arrived piping hot and was delicious.. Large portions and the best Indian around by far.. Lovely delivery driver too.. And also received a bottle of 7up which was and added bonus... Very impressed also with the veggie options.. Are no 1 Indian now..

Ordered from here as I live a few doors away Asked for the order to be changed slightly as I have an allergy to tomatoes thinking there would be no issues , ordered the set menu, got home and the order was wrong, it had a dish that contained tomatoes. Was told they "tried calling twice" (despite me being sat in the shop Infront of them!!) No one called. When I called to ask about this was basically given the excuse "oh we don't change anything else there would be no point! . It was if my ordering there was a massive inconvenience to them. Have used this place a few times as I used to order on Just eat, but thought I would give them a try, think I will go back to ordering from Just eat now. Service in the past year has gone right down hill.

Having been very disappointed with all of the other Indian takeaways we had tried on the Wirral, we were hoping to find an excellent offering from Saffron having read the reviews for this establishment; which were excellent on three seperate platforms I am disappointed to say that this evening the food immediately arrived with the bag drenched in grease,. The chicken was chewy and the buna sauce almost inedible. The Bangla fish curry was dry, and certainly not like the fresh white fish offerings I've had served from other established restaurants offering similar on the other side of the water. We left 75% of the food on the plate, which went immediately into the bin. the highlight being the garlic naan, which from a £55 takeaway is a real kick in the teeth. My wife was sick within about 10 mins of deciding to stop eating the food. She is adamant she will not touch another curry takeaway. I just can't understand why the Wirral's array of Indian takeaways despite having fairly decent reviews are unable to offer the excellent standard of takeaway Indian food found in Liverpool and the rest of Merseyside. So disappointing to say the least

Great food and meals were ready for collection in about 30 mins. Staff are friendly. It's cash only as they don't have a card machine. 👍

Ordered at 6.30pm. Its 9pm and still no sign of our food, been in touch and got told a driver was on the way at 8.10pm. I know places can be busy but this is unacceptable, currently cooking frozen pizza, won't bother with this place again.

10/10! We were first time at Saffron and definetely not last! Besides some starters and sides which were very very good, we have ordered Malaya and Murgh Chili Masala and they were delicious! Meals are reasonably priced and superb quality. The customer service was excellent.

This is just a takeaway but the quality of the food is excellent. They do deliver but for us it's quicker to go and collect. Good choice of dishes to suit all tastes.

Chip bag fell apart because it was so wet with Greece, popodoms bag was the same, lamb curry was not lamb and cake was stale with a fresh topping of chocolate with coconut ontop. Not the usual Indian we would use, decided to try as we had a 50% under eats discount, will never use again.

The best food I have had me and my family loved it! Perfectly cooked, polite staff, it wasn't too spicy or greasy and I would 10/10 highly recommend it!

Best Indian take out in long while deffo go again fresh hot well worth a try don't be shy ya never know might find gem whilst looking for diamond 😉

Have always recommended Saffron to our friends and family, but tonight the meal we ordered was dreadful. Chicken Pakoras greasy and tough, rice rock hard and also greasy,,but the chicken in the tikka masala was so tough and tasted rank. What a shame, called the shop also to tell them the same.

Made an order via Just Eat the food arrived a little ahead of time was pipping hot really well presented and top quality really really good will be ordering again soon

My family have been going here for years, it is such good quality food really really tasty, and the staff are all very friendly. Really trustworthy, and the best around.

I've had several takeaways from Saffron, lovely well flavoured quisine prepared with care. polite and efficient staff,.. Highly recommended.. And I'm fussy about great food..

The oiliest greasyest meal I've ever had.

Moved to the area nearly 1 year ago and being a lover of Indian food, I found it difficult to find a decent takeaway until I came across this place. The food is absolutely beautiful and the staff are very friendly. I normally opt for the Chicken Jalfrezi and I swear it gets better every time! Would not go anywhere else!!

Great experience from start to finish, food was tasty and well prepared. Delivery was abit late but did receive a call to warn me about it, which was good but didn't mind anyway as it was a saturday evening. Staff were friendly and helpful, could not find anything to fault.
