One of if not the best Indian food I’ve ever had.

When they advise an hour. After 2 phone calls. It eventually arrived an hour an half later.

we went with my in-laws for dinner. it was a nice enough place but the food wasnt authentic indian. they all sort of tasted the same. We ordered the chilli paneer for a starter and the paneer shaashlik or something like that. There were literally 4 pieces of paneer cubes in a red food colour and lots of salad. So there was no value for money, and both dishes were the same. but the prices were over the top. very little selection for vegan or vegetarians. I ordered a virgin pina colada, and I got a glass of pineapple juice, which looked like split milk, and things were floating around. I asked the waiter for some water for the table, and he got one glass of water. I had to tell him we needed four because there are 4 of us. kinda seems counterproductive if i have to tell him to get water for the whole table. The waiters were very loud and yelling at each other, and it didn't seem very professional of them to do that where people were eating. The food is not worth paying for and will not be going back.

Fabulous menu choices, and all the food we ordered was excellent, full of interesting flavours and generous portions. Staff were very friendly without being intrusive. Also, very clean toilets! Useful parking info - a few spaces outside and across the road, 20 minutes only until 6pm, then free after. It looked like there was free street parking on side roads nearby, but quite busy at 5.30pm on a weekday.

We had ordered a take out last year and the food was as good as eating in the restaurant but two weeks ago we ordered a takeout…… a long wait for delivery and the food was cold. Onion Bahai’s were hard and unedible.

Food - very lovely and quick service. Had a saggwala balti, pilau rice and Richie naan. If you try Anything, please try this naan. It's like a pizza with a smokey naan flavour, so good. Service - quick service and always someone standing by to take requests. Olny reason it's a 4 star is that I went alone and felt a little pressed to order and eat quick but that may have been the trying to make sure I was fine and didn't feel lonely. Atmosphere - pleasant, well lit and clean. Nothing much else to say but nothing more was needed

This saffron was one-off the best Indians I ever had . The jelfrazy and garlic chill chicken and lamb curry and massalla were so tasty meat plenty of nan bread superb .I rate this place 5 star and I'm from the balti triangle of Birmingham

Ordered and paid on line and received email food could be collected at 6.10pm. Having paid for order in advance you would expect the order to be cooked and ready to collect at the time given. What a fool I was sent to collect my order and was told to wait. 6.35pm I was still waiting as I watched other people come in order and then pay for their food being served before me. I final found out at 6.38pm that they had not even started my order yet. And I had paid in advance. This was my first and last visit to this place. Uncaring staff and very poor customer service. One word sums up this place PATHETIC

6 of us went two Fridays ago, we all were happy with the food, my Biryani was excellent, no complaints from us👍

Have eaten here a few times and enjoyed it, but ordered a takeaway at the weekend and was so disappointed.... The dishes were bland, lacking any depth of flavour and my lamb tikka was especially tough and flavourless. Come on Saffron, I know you can do better than this.

had takeaway from them a few weeks ago as just moved back to the village, it was good, so decided to go into the restaurant a few weeks later for our wedding anniversary. The service was prompt and the food was even better in the restaurant, so glad we gave them a chance, it's the best we have had in awhile.

Went to order food was told sorry to busy call back later! "Do it online much easier" explained we wanted Angara mild and there is no option for it to be mild online hence why we was calling. Just to be told no call back later and then hung up the phone... Very rude.. No customer service

It was OK, adequate but not anything special. Dishes were VERY sweet.

Wow absolutely brilliant the staff are very friendly and the food is fantastic excellent value for money will definitely be back.

Food was perfectly suitable and well priced. A large selection of options in both starters mains and drinks. Plenty of seating so not always a need to book unless going with a large party.

Best experience having a takeaway here while on holiday. The holiday was atrocious but the food and service here was 10/10. My wife picked it up and was amazed how lovely it looked inside. Food was delicious and even after a 6 mile drive to the lodge it was still hot.

An exceptional Indian restaurant in the heart of a small quaint village. The servers are attentive, helpful and friendly, the food is absolutely incredible and well worth the visit for. We have sat in many times and had no problems, there is plenty of seating available inside. Alongside that, we've had takeaway a few times from there too, and the food has been delivered piping hot! No complaints here!

Back in the area again and just had another fantastic meal from Saffron. Four of us ordered takeaway the food was very hot and the flavour and quality of the food was amazing. ready on time staff polite and friendly. We'll be back again. Thank you Saffron

Beautiful food and friendly staff

We were staying at a local log cabin for a week and were recommended to try this Indian. WOW WOW WOW it was delicious! I forgot to take pictures as I was far too excited to tuck in. If you're in the area, make sure you give this place a go!

Ordered 6.15 sat night, called after 45 mins to get eta, was told we’re priority 🙄 called again at 7.30 to say 10 Mins away. Sitting her at 8.30 with no food, hungry kids and a phone number going to answerphone. Don’t use them.

Ordered meals for six people online for a 19:15 delivery, didn't get an email confirmation of this, but did instantly get a delivery time of 19:45. Phoned restaurant to make sure my order had been processed, to be told "yes all processed" & double-checked my location, as was a holiday let out of the way, he seemed to know location. Food was delivered at 19:40, piping hot & tasted amazing 👏

Authentic Indian food and great atmosphere.

Food excellent, however for 50 quid I think free popadoms might have been a nice touch. Always had this previously. Got to say for a small village this is exceptional. One star knocked off for lack of popadoms or garnishes

We visited while in the area and wish we lived closer!! We love curries but often find them mediocre but this was amazing!! Every dish we had was amazing. Hard to pick a highlight but probably the garlic and cheese naan and the sagg paneer. Highly recommend.

The food is okay, but I've had much better. The service was not good.

This is a well lit clean and inviting restaurant with plenty of room for large parties (ours was 12 people) in the centre of the room as well as booths for up to 4 on the sides. Good range of Indian beers and a comprehensive menu with reasonable prices. Food was good quality ( would have liked the peshwari Nan to have more coconut in it but still ok) . Only issue is their reluctance to split the bill but there is a cash point machine in front of the restaurant which helps.

Never don't answer at the phone and very very slow service order food 3 hours and still no delivery. Never recommend this place

Been regularly having takeaways from Saffron for years since they opened. Was fantastic to start with but is getting more disappointing every visit. Food is now substandard hence the low rating. Very inconsistent quality. Am I going to get a decent meal or a total abomination. Some of the staff are rude bordering on aggressive. That's the last time they are getting my hard earned money.

When I gave my order the guy had his back to me at the till, just rude. Food was pretty bland that's the second meal iv not enjoyed from there there won't be a third.

Had a takeaway tonight, and we cannot fault it. Cooked beautifully and decent size portions. Food was ready for the time we ordered. Best Indian meal we have had in years. 10/10!

The food is really lovely but they are just consistently late with our order, half an hour, an hour.... and never an apology or attempt to make it better. Really disappointed and fed up with eating late at night when we have ordered early.

Saffron is your classic British/Indian - with all the classic dishes you’d expect all done to good standard. Every now and again they can even serve up a beautiful rendition of a classic. Only slight negative was I ordered a take away and picked it up when they said it would be ready and noticed it was just sitting on the bar. I live less than 5 minutes away and sure enough it was barely warm when I got home - shame they don't have a way to keep their takeaways nice a toasty.

3rd takeaway tonight. Everytime consistently great food. Chicken madras has a good heat but you can still taste all the flavours, sag paneer amazing.. I can highly recommend as 1 of the best curries I,ve had.

Food is freshly cook to perfection I think. Staff very friendly and very patient. Not pushy in any way and very polite. Portions are very ample for what you pay for. I'd would come here again.

Ordered takeaway, told to collect at 7.40, arrived had to wait a further 20 mins. Service used to be really good but since they've started home deliveries wait times have increased and service reduced. Really disappointed.

I cannot recommend this place enough. I love the food-it is great. It feels lovely and fresh. The ethos of the place is great. And the staff and the owner are friendly. A lovely atmosphere here.
