Fantastic Persian food in the centre of Richmond!

Truly special restaurant in the heart of Richmond. The black tea is delicious and the dishes are very interesting. The environment is nice and elegant and the staff is friendly and kind. Fantastic for those who love learning about other cultures.

I recently dined at Saffron and was impressed by the delicious Koubideh and Baqali Polo. The flavors were authentic, with the Koubideh being tender and the Baqali Polo perfectly seasoned. Plus, the prices are more affordable than many other Persian spots in London. A great find for anyone craving quality Iranian cuisine!

Excellent Iranian dishes, friendly staff in beautiful neighbourhood of Richmond in London.. I am very sensitive with Iranian dishes but here you can find very decent taste of IRAN

The food was absolutely superb. I tip my hat to the chef!!! There was so much variety that catered us all. Narges, was an absolute blessing, and fantastic server. Took care of our needs and helped recommend when we couldn’t decide. Can’t wait to come again, highly recommend.

Visited in the summer and had a delicious meal. Food was so fresh with huge portions. We were sharing between 6 so it was good to try bits of everything on the table. I've never eaten this cuisine before but luckily was visiting with someone who spoke persian so they had a chat with the waiter and he recommended us what he thought was best. Thank you for the lovely visit, will definitely return next time I'm in the area!

Lovely food. Would recommend the Baghali Polo and the koobideh, very tender lamb. I would request they bring back the jelly dessert though - we missed that :)

Great food, generous portions, and great ambiance!

Some of the best lamb Koobideh I've ever had! The Dolma is meh and not worth it but definitely get the lamb dishes here! They also have a lunch special price with an appetizer + Main for £15.95 which is a £5 savings. Totally worth it. Oddly enough, no British beer on the menu but Italian and German beer is.

Very kind employee and atmosphere she was very lovely. My husband and i came here and she dimmed the lights and lit a candle for us during the day!

Come for nice Sunday lunch, as we walked in attitude was not welcoming. My lady asked if we could sit at the side(4 people table) for better comfort, waitress very dull responded that it's for 4 people. Place wasn't packed, literally almost empty. Myself approached waitresses and asked again if we could sit at the table which brings us more comfort, considering that we come to dine and pay for the experience, was told no. Would understand there were reservations or reserved tables, but no, just empty. Asked so what's the problem, was told maybe someone will show up..Maybe??? What is that? Not reserved, not packed and maybe? So asked if you won't give us table you want us to leave? Waitresses (2 of them) literally said yes, leave. What a place, staggered owner is ok with that, kicking people out because they refuse to give more comfort to actual existing customer, and redness was not even hidden.. wouldn't recommend and owned should be ashamed hiw staff treat customers.

Had dinner here last night. The food was delicious, however the service was lacking. When we arrived for our booking, we were left waiting at the entrance and unacknowledged. This was a theme to be continued throughout our dining experience. As our waitress was taking our order, she abruptly stopped midway through to greet some new customers and seat them. The other waitresses were more interested in chatting behind the bar, than serving us. No check backs; no offer of more drinks; no offer of condiments with our mains; not even a smile; then to add insult to injury a service charge of 12.5% was added to our bill. We were not made to feel welcome at all. They did not say thank you or even goodbye as we left. I appreciate they were busy but I felt like the waiting staff did not want to be there, nor did they want us to be there either. Disappointing.

Very nice small restaurant in the heart of Richmond that serves lovely Persian food , if you like traditional Persian food and you are near Richmond then I would recommend it . We traveled an hour to eat here and visit the lovely town.

Service is always good but the FOOD, is the star of the show. I often come here with the baby, and he enjoys the outdoor patio and the lentil soup while I read or relax. The food is phenomenal.

Had a lovely late lunch. The food was delicious- and the service was exemplary. Can strongly recommend.

And the restaurant manager always uses cheap and outdated food and always uses pork instead of beef and mutton because it is cheaper. In short, I wanted my dear London friends to be informed and refrain from going there. God, if I die of hunger, I will not go there. Good luck . Very good food and nice service

Delicious Persian food and top quality. Impressed with how the restaurant prepared and packed food for my Birthday dinner which took place at home. The whole family from toddlers to seniors enjoyed the food. My personal favourite is the Baghali Pollo - lamb shank served with broad bean and dill rice. The lamb is so soft. Many thanks Saffron and I will be back soon.

Food is delicious and very reasonably priced

I’ve been to my fair share of Iranian restaurants over the years and can safely say Saffron had the best joojeh kabab. Such a lovely local gem. Our waitress was lovely too

First I have to point out how over priced this restaurant is. The high prices that they charge for their dishes does not match the quality of the food that is served. The kebabs that we were served were burned and it tasted like it was someone's leftover from the day before. The service was equally as bad as the food. Firstly, it took the restaurant about 40 minutes to bring our food. And when the food eventually did arrive, it was not complete. One of us had to wait another 15 minutes to receive his food. Considering the long waiting time, they could have at least coordinated in a way so that we could have received our order all at once. I asked one of the waitresses for a glass of orange juice and she forgot. After 10 minutes I asked another waitress for the orange juice and she brought the orange juice eventually after another 15 minutes and she just said that she "got busy and forgot". So I would recommend to avoid this restaurant like the plague. Your money will be wasted on terrible food and bad customer service.

Lovely food, small range of choices but wide variety and combinations of how to take each dish. Mainly lamb and chicken dishes. We ate late on a Friday and the atmosphere was great, a warm evening with the door of the teeny restaurant open and feeling the buzz of the outside. Service was friendly and competent. Well worth a visit!

Food was tasty and portions are huge. Food is better than most restaurants around us in London. However Starters are a bit pricy in my pinion but maybe everywhere is like this , not sure. Kind people serving and taking care of us. The location of restaurant is very convenient.

Really good service from Laila. The food was delicious, lovely salads and the meat platter was filling for two people. The hummus and feta salad were nicely portioned too.

A nice little restaurant serving authentic Persian food, the service is great and the food portions are generous and great value for money. Always comes out piping hot and is so delicious! Tucked away in a corner of the high street close to Richmond station it’s a nice quiet place to stop for lunch and have a break from shopping. Try not to fill up on the hot bread and dips before your main meal! Although they are always happy to provide you with a take out box to avoid anything going to waste.
