We had already spotted the restaurant on Google maps and decided to try it out. Thank you Mike for the great hospitality. The food was great. We and our daughter really liked it. We wanted to come over again on our last evening for a great drink, but UNFORTUNATELY we couldn't make it. The next time! Many greetings from Germany

Truly a find in the Croydon region, EXCELLENT kitchen, reception and atmosphere. A typical Dominican and homemade food, very similar to Brazilian food. Also excellent quality/price. Thank you also to the man who welcomed us at the place, extremely friendly and polite.

Wow...wow...and wow... Some of the best food I have ever eaten in my entire life. We ordered La Bandera, chicharron mofongo, chivo liniero, picato platter for 4, 1 of each empanadas and 2 bollito d yuca. Every single bite was accompanied with an unstoppable "mmm". The food is clearly authentic and made with such passion and love. The staff here are incredibly warm and hospitable. This restaurant is one of the best places to eat in the entire country, and I HOPE it never disappears. I will eat here again, and I will continue to eat here on a regular basis. Absolutely incredible!

I found this place by accident and decided to come in. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. They recommended that I try their traditional dish called La Bandera, which means "flag." The taste is super delicious and the portion is very generous. The price is just £14. A great place to try Dominican food.

Absolutely brilliant! I don't know where to start. It is a small & quaint family-owned restaurants with a touch of "home" as soon as you walk in. The service was amazing and Mike was attentive the entire time. There is a sense of pride with love buzzing throughout which translates into the food and atmosphere! We had fresh fruit juice (tamarind and passion fruit), empanadas for starter, pico to (mixed fried chicken) and fish in coconut sauce for mains all served with tostones (fried plantain) and choice of salads. Everything is made to order so no quick in and out here. All dressing are made fresh in-house, too. It's so lovely to support a local business that produces an exceptional experience. We will definitely be returning and trying a new dish 😀.

I have no words to describe the attention of all the staff. I literally felt at home. Myke has the art of serving customers in his blood, the chefs are passionate about what they do and it shows in the food. Their family business history is worth admiring. Their empanadas are the best, the quipe was exquisite, the moro and the chivo liniero were a star dish. The cozy, clean and tidy atmosphere. The girls recommend the empanadas and the chicken pica. The natural juices look like they just came out of the plant. The coffee is top notch. A 20/10 for everything.

It was an amazing evening. First time trying food from the Dominican Republic and we can’t wait to go back! Super cute place, a family-owned business with great service and great food! You can feel the passion from the moment you step in the restaurant :) out-of-the-world empanadas!!

Highly recommended. The best food and service around this area. I enjoyed the beef tripe soup with tostones (fried plantain) and tres leche for dessert. Will definitely visit again.

The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming, the food amazing from starter to dessert, and the vibes are immaculate. Definitely the best Latin eatery in town, the deliciousness of the food made me shed a tear and took me back home; absolute nostalgic taste. Nothing but praise 🙌🙌!!

We had a fantastic meal here following the recommendation of a family member. The fried chicken was honestly the best I have ever had, so fresh and crunchy and we had some brilliant starters too. The menu was kindly explained to us as it was our first time eating Dominican food and the service was brilliant. Thank you for the delicious food and we’ll definitely be back!

Popped into this new restaurant for a drink only, and the staff were so, so friendly, that I will definitely be back! It was quite late, and they were packing up, but let us have our drink, without rushing us out. Decor looks good, nice ambiance.

It was such a wonderful atmosphere when I came to this restaurant and the service given by the staff was phenomenal. The food I tried was delicious and cooked to perfection. I wish that this restaurant would expand for more people to dine in because their seating capacity is low and with the positive experience that was present and the excellent reviews that this place receives, I do not see why they shouldn’t look into that. I will come again at some point to try something different as there are definitely options there.

An excellent representation of Dominican cuisine. The empanadas are very delicious, the main dishes are spot on like eating at a good restaurant in the DR. The juices are very good as well. With such friendly service, great food and good portions, visiting again is a must.

Lovely little space serving fresh dishes from the Dominican. I tried the empanadas on recommendation, which were plentiful for a lunchtime bite. Freshly made with a light pastry and tasty fillings. Washed down with a fresh lemonade and good coffee to finish off. Service was really welcoming and helpful. Will definitely be going back.

I’ve recently moved to the area and stumbled across this absolute gem of a place serving Dominican food. The staff, especially Mike, are incredibly kind and attentive. As someone who has never tried Dominican cuisine before, he was so helpful in describing each dish and after trying his recommendations I can confidently say that I am now a convert. This place has won me over with its warm hospitality and fantastic food. The portions are generous, and the flavours are incredible. The empanadas were a standout for me, freshly made to order, perfectly crispy on the outside and bursting with fillings. The fresh juices are also a must! I'm already looking forward to my next visit, especially to try out their Sunday menu. Highly recommend!

We went on Sunday and were treated to the most amazing fresh juices, delicious fried chicken, super tasty sandwiches and terrific service from a restaurant owner who clearly loves what he does! This place deserves to be packed every day. Can’t wait to come back on a weekday to try the full menu.

Scrolling through the Deliveroo app and I couldn't believe my luck when I came across this restaurant. I'd wanted to try Dominican food for a while and was over the moon to see there was one in Croydon. As this was my first time trying this cuisine, I called in and asked for some advice before placing my order. The customer service was amazing. Mike was so kind and welcoming. I ordered habichuela roja guisada, tostones, moro d guandule and a coleslaw salad. As a vegetarian I was extremely pleased with my food. This may be one of the nicest meals I've ever had. Would recommend 100%. Thank you!!!

Just found this place and the food is amazing!! My first try of Dominican food and I'm an instant convert! Made freshly in the cafe, the quality is outstanding. Huge portions, new exciting flavours and a vibrant, family-friendly vibe. Making this my weekly treat! PS....try the sea bass in coconut broth, cooked to perfection!

Very nice place with delicious food, very comfy and you can enjoy the time with your family. Good price for the sizes of the plates and the quality which is even more important. One of the best when talking about latin food. I really recommend this place 100% as will be worthy.

We have both tried dine-in and take away several times and everything that we've tried (which is 70-80% of their menu by now) is absolutely delicious. It's really hard to recommend something in particular as everything is so tasty. I'd dare to say, their food is better than many places I've eaten at in Dominican Republic. The empanadas and all the fried stuff (especially the fried chicken with plantains) are great for a "film + dinner" kind of night but all traditional dishes (bandera, goat, mofongo, etc) have so much flavour and are so, so worth it too. Oh, and don't miss their natural juices either! My favourite is passion fruit but all are great. The staff is also very friendly. In summary, totally recommend, and try everything if you can 😅

Great family place, food is tasty, place is a bit small I will say. In general I will definitely recommend good variety of food and options, one of the best Dominican and Caribbean food in south London.

Good service and best food in town

One of the best or probably the best place serving Dominican food in London. The chicharron and empanadas are the closer you can get to DR ones. I can’t stress enough that the Chicharron is awesome. The food in this place, regardless of the tag “Dominican” is amazing in its own right. Highly recommended.

I am visiting this place for a great, full of flavour coffee that's made with a proper machine and coffee beans not some cheap Nescafé home coffee express. Also, great home made lemonades and other types of fresh juice. Highly recommended! Still got to try that famous Dominican food!

This place honestly serves some of the best foods in Croydon. It was my first time trying Dominican and I absolutely loved it. I now go there once a week. The fried chicken is next level!!The staff there are friendly and explain everything so well.

I got the Pork and Mashed plantain topped with cheese and it changed my life. Yum.
