My dad remembers the troops going off Too War. Leaving behind everything. And most knew they wouldn't come back... And that is why I put flowers on the centotaph. And he remembers Dunkirk. The french, polishsoaked too the skin. As well as the Brits. Coming off the small boats. But the Brits formed lines and marched along the prom Too cheers from the locals . God save the queen.. That's what every proud person shouted As theyarchedvwet and injured along.. And I'm crying.

Having just returned last week really disappointed all round. No shower towels just small ones left in room even when asked for some not delivered. Meals at evening very poor and small portions especially for men. Said seasonal veg and was a spoonful of frozen mixed veg. 2 halves of potato with all meals and chicken portion or other meat. Being disabled also not friendly for wheelchair users as couldn't get through some of the doorways. Unfortunately won't be coming back.

Lovely friendly staff, let down by a tired run down building, as evidenced by the tatty blue awning. Our room had floors that weren't even, which meant you were walking at a slanted angle. Some wall damage and plaster gouging, paint peeling off the wall in the closet looking like a damp patch/bulging plaster, a rotten window that didn't shut properly and let a draft in, held together with a metal brace, a leaky toilet by the u-bend and a funky sewer type smell. The lift has a mind if it's own, and the stairs at the other end of the building felt slanted. Some of the decor especially around the second floor lift needs urgent attention, it looked half finished. And dinner time was a slight let down due to water marks on the outside of the water jug and tea pots (they look like they need a good scrubbing) limescale in the teapots, and randomly dirty milk jugs and coffee cups possibly due to a failing dishwasher? However what I can say is that the food was brilliant, the service was fantastic, rooms cleaned daily, all the staff were so welcoming and hospitable and nothing was too much trouble. The sea view was wonderful. A good selection of drinks at the bar, and nightly entertainment. A credit to ask the staff who made our stay so wonderful.

Just arrived back from a few days away having stayed at Russel Hotel in Weymouth. Pleasantly surprised, had a lovely room with sea view, staff friendly, evening entertainment okay although could be improved. Restaurant meals enjoyable and a special mention to Gliff, our waiter who served our meals, very professional, so well mannered, immaculately dressed, very dedicated in his role of duties, hence, I'm sure you must be very pleased to have this gentleman as an employee. Will definitely be returning to your Hotel in the near future.

We paid extra for a sea view. Large, comfortable room. We opted not to have the room cleaned every day.

We booked a late break to The Russell Hotel Weymouth and had a really nice time as we have everytime we've stayed there. The staff are alway's friendly. The choice of food was good for the price you pay. We normally have a double room but as it was a late booking we had a twin room but we booked it as it was a very good price considering you get your coach travel there and back your room for 4 night's and half board. They only downside was the garlic mushroom's for a starter one night. We have had them several time's and they have been lovely not too sure what happened this time they didn't look very nice. They are normally in a lovely creamy garlic sauce but not this time. Food in general very good. Our room was clean and a good size. Lookin forward to another Daish's trip.
