Popped along one evening. Found a space in the road outside. They have a great menu with lots of ingredients. You can make your own or go for one of the set waffles. We had lots of fun decided what to do. I opted for ice cream a mixture of vanilla, smarties, chocolate sauce etc while the rest of the family went for bubble waffles. There were a few tables outside to eat. Everything tasted delicious

Ru has amazing bubble waffles. There’s great choice with his signature six to pick from (believe you can customise them too). We got ours as a takeaway to take back home with us and it was brilliant. Cheers Ru!

Ordered for home delivery via their website, which worked out much cheaper than deliveroo. Placed order, and all delivered to Southend within 30 minutes.All beautifully packaged and still frozen in 30 degree heat!Bubble wraps and shakes were delicious.....the children were delighted.Really friendly delivery driver.Would highly recommend. We will be ordering frequently.

Been several times now - staff are infectiously charming, helpful and friendly. Waffles are great, so many varieties including well prepared and safe vegan options!! Oreos, biscoff, non-dairy ice cream and a completely separate machine specially used for the vegan mix! Would definitely recommend, family ran local business that I regularly crave!

If you are looking for the best sweet treats around, then Ru’s Bubble Waffles is the perfect place to go! They sell a variety of waffles, milkshakes, ice cream and mini Dutch pancakes and more. Whatever you get you will not be disappointed. As soon as you enter, you are always warmly welcomed by Ru and his friendly staff, it is a a relaxed atmosphere and Ru is genuine, super friendly and all round professional. If you want great food, prices and customer service then you must visit Ru’s!!

What an absolute joy it is to walk into Ru's - first of all it smells like heaven & you get massive grins from the staff who greet you. Also, they are so friendly and I could chat to them all day! The waffle itself is delicious. As a plant-based eater, their options are great as well. The staff use different waffle machines for non-plant-based and plant-based, which definitely ticked all my boxes. They also ask if you'd like them to change gloves, so super hygienic. Thank you to all the staff at Ru's (including Ru himself)!

Ru’s Bubble waffles are amazing, ice cream is lovely and good quality! Milkshakes are great too and always leaves you wanting more! Ru and his team are kind, helpful and work extremely hard! You will not be disappointed!

Ru's Bubble Waffles is the best place in Leigh-On-Sea in my opinion. It effortlessly blends intimate, independently run business vibes with unique class and character. Ru has a wide selection of treats to try and experiment with - my favourite being the Small Geezer waffle. Ru is friendly, chatty and professional - you can tell that everything is made with genuine passion. In an age where high streets are becoming more and more like carbon copies of each other - Ru's Bubble Waffles sticks out as something brilliant. It's amazing value for money too!

Great Idea as there was a bit of a gap in the market for this trend! Shame that the price of the milkshakes jumped up so high but I guess they are trying to compete with the other milkshake places in Leigh

Stopped in our our way home from Chalkwell Park, feeling like a treat. We both had the Bananrama waffle cone, with a late and a milkshake, Freshly cooked, loaded with your choice of fillings, and topped with whipped cream, what is not to love. Ru, the owner is a lovely chap and deserves to do well. Very impressed with him and his product, will definitley go again. Just because the weather is cold, it is never too cold for one of Ru's fabulous waffle cones. A 5 star hygiene rating to boot, can't be bad either.

Really friendly staff, really tasty waffle, nothing pretentious, just a great little pit stop for a treat with the kids. My two shared a full size one and were stuffed. A lovely addition to Leigh Road.

Delicious and naughty! There are lots of different things to choose from. They were quite difficult to eat but that was part of the fun.

I don’t want to spoil the good reviews but do have to be honest, because honesty is what it’s all about. We did enjoy our waffles and they tasted lovely and Ru’s Mum and brother were chatty and friendly and served us well enough. What really does need addressing though is the hygiene. I was quite shocked that when we were being served the young brother ran his hands through his hair and then picked the waffle out of the iron with his bare hands, while stating how hot it was, then touched it to put it in the cone. Mum served and took the money then handled the other waffle. Yes, I should have said something but I was rather shocked and felt too awkward as they were nice people trying to do their best. Hygiene is of the utmost importance in catering do this really does need taking on board. Apart from that, everything was great!

Blink as you drive past and you might miss this tiny shop front. If you are thinking about trying it you definitely should and will be very satisfied! We shared a waffle with ice cream between 2-3 people and it was perfect.

If any of you happen to be in Leigh on Sea and fancy an ice cream or a milkshake or even a delicious and freshly made waffle, pop on down to Ru’s. Fantastic waffles at a really good price, made from one of the nicest lads you’ll meet. You can tell the lad puts a lot of hard work in, and it really REALLY pays off. I will be returning to Ru’s soon, ready for something amazing again.

Decided to call in on a sunny Sunday whilst out for walk and have to say I’m glad I did. I’ve never had a bubble waffle before and was intrigued so gave the “Small-geezers” waffle a try and I wasn’t disappointed. It didn’t cost the earth either certainly considering the size of it! Couple this with the friendly attitude of the young man that served us and I can safely say we will be calling in again on our next walk.

Had the vegan waffle and Swedish ice cream with Oreos which was absolutely amazing! No extra cost for the vegan option either! Would come here again!

Wow. Have seen this since this has been opened, but just never had a chance to get down and try it out, but on a beautiful sunny day in Leigh over the weekend, I finally made time to get down and try out the Kinder Bueno waffle I've had my eyes on.

Amazing, well priced waffles. All made fresh in front of you with a great selection of ice creams and toppings to put on your waffle. For an outlet that opened in October 18, they’ve already gained a hygiene rating of 5, and they’re doing all of the right things.

Having sampled several off the menu, I can say they are sooooooo good.

Wonderful and extremely tasty Bubble Waffles served up by an incredibly passionate and welcoming owner! Portion sizes are just phenomenal for the price you pay. Massive amounts of ice cream, toppings and cream all served up in a delicious, freshly cooked Bubble Waffle. Genuinely amazing service. Always so friendly and will accommodate any and all dietary requirements - they even have Vegan waffles that my friend had and said was amazing. Will definitely be going back time and time again!

This is more of a make money trend. Food cooked in front of you in clean tidy kitchen however the seating area was not very clean or comfortable to eat in. Not the best value for money as not very generous with sauces/toppings.

The owner is absolutely incredible! The service is always top quality and the waffles are mouthwatering to say the least!

I went in with friends to try the waffles with friends as we heard so much about them around 7pm we were served promptly and enjoyed the food thoroughly. The food is well priced and even better tasting and I’d highly recommend

Not been open long, its a good addition to Leigh Rd, opens until 7pm-ish, all priced at £4.95, nicely filled bubble waffles, simple 6 choices all look lovely, a nice treat, popular in China town now available in Leigh, easy to miss the place as its small and not well lit at the moment, guess better outside lighting will come soon, next door to the second hand/antique/retro shops
