What a lovely guy the security guard on the door was on late Friday 6th/ early Saturday 7th September. It was late and my friend and I were in desperate need of some water. He let us in but we were too late to order a drink. Coming out of the club he saw we hadn’t been successful. He said wait there and I’ll get you some. He quickly returned with two bottles of water for us. Thank you SO much. I’m sorry I don’t know your name, but you are a star. Next time we visit we will come earlier for a dance too. The atmosphere inside was great. And with a guy like this on the door, I felt safe and in good hands

Such a good night out, me and my mates went out for my birthday last night and had a blast. Was served by a girl called molly, who was really lovely. I highly recommend going to rumba if you want a good night out!!

I’ve been coming here for 2+ years but all of a sudden the new bouncers seem to have an agenda against me. Never been a problem but the last 2 weeks I haven’t been let in, one because my ID didn’t look like me and the second because I was holding a drink in the queue which I was going to get rid of. Complete and utter job worths. If you want to go to a place where the bouncers aren’t complete nob heads then go to Cave

I visited here about a month ago on vacation and it was a great spot. drinks were great and the service i got was excellent and especially the american bartender! i’ll definitely come back here in the future!

We came to Rumba last weekend from out the area as we were staying locally on the Saturday. We have a great time, the music & atmosphere was perfect. Would recommend.

What a fabulous place. We celebrated my daughters hen doo here. The staff went above and beyond the whole time. We had private cocktail classes it was all amazing and good value for money. We would highly recommend 👌 xx

Great friendly staff who are always happy to recommend a cocktail if you’re unsure what you want or fancy a change. Great service. Great menu. Highly recommend for a fun night out in Macc. Look out for their quiz night too which is a lot of fun.

Izzy is a fantastic bartender and was very friendly. Really enjoyed my visit - big fan of the monthly quizzes on Sundays!

Always a great night after 11pm on a Friday or Saturday night. Younger crowd 20 to 30 ish generally.... I would say it is the best place to go late on a weekend night in Macclesfield. Good drinks. Music (Dance and R and B) and atmosphere fab. Great outside space too for smokers + outside heaters. Bouncers are always sound too despite getting queues later on and dealing with idiots. There is a dance floor also. Goto late night bar in Macc.

Go-to place for cocktails in Macclesfield - although it is quite pricey, I would definitely recommend the Zombie (and maybe even Extreme Zombie if you're up for it) which is a rum based cocktail. Not only does it taste good, but they set it on fire and sprinkle cinammon on it making it all a good show as well as a good drink. Music is good, but can get a bit cramped inside because it's fairly small which also means it's really loud and have to shout to talk to anyone. Has an small beer garden / smoking area which is great all year round, a fun photobooth (pay 50p) but wouldn't go there for the make-do dancefloor.

My last night experience was so traumatic it reminded me of the apartheid, I waited in line outside in the rain for over 27minutes only to be told that I couldn't get in because I skipped the queue, "which I assumed that was their excuse to tell me I wasn't welcomed because the couple behind me vouched for me that I have been in line for over 25 minutes but the bouncers James and Mark did not want to hear anything regarding my presence at the premises. I did not know how strong Racism still exists in Macclesfield im disappointed in the town and its people. I will pursue my experience to the highest level and make sure that the world knows about the discrimination that happens in this town🙏🏽...

Best place for drinks in Macclesfield 100%, Izzy one of the bar staff was always available to serve more drinks and have laugh, always a smile on their face!

A little gem in Macclesfield, staff were amazing and extremely patient, especially Roman who helped me decide what drink to order by talking me through the best sellers!

Had A Great Time In Here The Few Times I Called In For A Drink But It’s More For The Young Than Older Like Myself A Couple Of Rums And A Few Quick Dances Then I’m Of Before I Get A Few Boozed Up Youngsters Getting Up Close And Wanting A Slow Dance With Me I’m 62 But My Profile Photo Is What I Look Like So Looking Good For My Age The Rum I Was Eying Up Locked Up In A Bird Cage Hanging From The Ceiling With A Big Padlock On Was Interesting So Asked What The Price Was For One Of Them It Was Around £120 A Shot 🤫 So Asked If Lord Nelson Bathed In It Before It Was Bottled If You Know Your History You Will Know What I Mean 😂😂

What a shame. Came back to this bar after 18 months, was seriously disappointed. Ordered a Mojito. And it was like drinking a glass of soda. No taste of sugar and mint, main ingredients!!! Wont go back.

Came from out of town, took a chance on this place and was very impressed! Place looks great inside and the cocktails were amazing! I even lost my wallet and they were out looking for me afterwards to return it!

Lovely cocktail bar reasonably priced drinks.. however, female serving staff tonight seemed to have an attitude problem, felt really unwelcome very sad during these times.. thought they would want any customers they could get! Shame

As a 23 year old it's not often a club makes me feel old. With that said it's a perfectly nice place with a friendly atmosphere, doesn't take it's self to seriously. Pretty expensive though.

It's a fair standard tiki bar, the service at the bar is brusque....efficient but don't expect your backside kissed particularly if you comment on missing happy hour whilst in the queue...just experience, cocktails are good, the zombie is particularly banging, however it annoys me the place doesn't take Amex, a bit of snark considering the margin these kind of places make, or should be making anyway.

Visited on saturday...the bar man who served us had such an attitude problem....extremley un-helpful and very un-professional certainly has put us off ever going back!!

Love this cocktail bar in Macclesfield. The vibes are always good here. Plenty of cocktails to choose from (but personally I think a lot of them are way too sweet.) The inside space is funky and well decorated and later in the evening it turns more into a club/bar with lots of people and dancing. The outside space is large, with plenty of spaces to sit down and also heating lamps. Smoking is allowed outside. The music is usually urban/hip hop. There is also a photo Booth.

Good times had by all, great atmosphere and doormen couldn't have been more helpful with our friend in a wheelchair. Thanks guys

The place in itself is rather pleasant. The issue I had was I left my better half with £60 of my hard earned cash to get us both a drink while I went to the men’s room. When i returned my missus (who was fairly intoxicated) returned with a drink each and change (being around £24). I realised that something wasn’t right and asked my missus where the money had gone.... she told me that she got the drinks and left some money for the bartender to get herself a drink.. the bartender took advantage of the fact that my better half was very intoxicated and held back almost £20 of my hard earned money. I went straight to the bar to question and received the change of almost £20.. the waitress had blatantly withheld the change from my missus knowing she was very intoxicated. I received the correct change instantly when I challenged the bartender as she knew she was in the wrong. Bar staff and security were informed. On the spot. Employees should not take advantage of people who’d are intoxicated. Money is hard to come by and should be respected...

Love this place, great cocktails and offers although they only have 1 out 4 of my favourite cocktails (pornstar martini) on the menu now and they have changed the ingredients of that 1 and it's not the same 😔

Great atmosphere and reasonable drink prices when on 2 for 1. Not to mention the huge smoking area.

Hit and miss at Rumba, the idea and vibe are great but the premises is just to small, especially on a Friday and Saturday, squashed in like sardines and the bar space is too small. Drink can also be a little pricey, it's Macclesfield not Manchester. On the plus side they sell cigars which is always a winner. In conclusion they serve good if not cheap drinks and the place is well too small but decent through the week when it's quiet and have offers on drinks.

Really liked this bar. The atmosphere is great. The rum based cocktails are amazing and there is a large variety to chose from. Highly recommended the 'zombie'! The decor is great with the tikki/beach hut theme. The ceiling is covered in pin up girls which sounds odd but it looks great. Floor was a little sticky and music could have been better but overall a great night

Good selection of beers and obviously huge selection of rum based cocktails. Very friendly staff and recently opened so all very fresh and new. Lots of interesting decorating to admire very nice.
