Rudy's Pizza Napoletana - Nottingham in Nottingham

About as good as you will find anywhere in the UK. Superb pizza is down to fresh, genuine ingredients and having a wood fired oven. This place has it all covered. Genuine Naples flavours in Robin Hood country Service was nothing special, but who cares when the food is as good as this ?

Would I be exaggerating if I said this was the best pizza we have ever had? No! We were in Nottingham to go to a gig and needed somewhere to eat on the walk over to the Arena when we came across Rudys. It was busy but not full and that was a good sign as it was a Tuesday evening. The staff were great, and our waitress, Libby, was fabulous! She was friendly and chatty without overstepping the mark. Then the food ... the pizzas are huge and taste amazing. The use of fior di latte is a perfect choice of cheese and all our other toppings tasted fresh and complimented each other brilliantly. We will definitely be back!

Looked on here for good Italian restaurants in Nottingham and this place came up, tried to book but said no availability for today but turned up anyway to see if we could get a table. They were absolutely heaving but was eventually squeezed in, we were sat around the edge of the kitchen which was open and situated in the center of the restaurant, a very cool feature. Our waiter Dale was brilliant and so helpful in making a decision for which of the many incredible looking pizzas they had on the menu. Both our pizzas were massive and so tasty, even better that we got to watch them be made by the chef Raffael in front of us! Will definitely be returning. Thankyou so much Dale for your hospitality.

We have just returned from a visit to Rudys Pizzas. It wasn’t an enjoyable experience. The wine was horrible and £24 for a bottle. The pizzas were completely tasteless and burnt. The only thing that had a taste was the aioli dip! The service was ok. The pleasant waitress did ask if everything was ok,but we didn’t want to burden her with our complaints. I would tell everyone to avoid this place. There wasn’t an atmosphere and the food didn’t taste of anything. The pizzas were the worst we have had in a long time,and a waste of money!

A friends from work get together so quite a few of us. My pizza was OK, a bit burnt black in places but that's the way it sometimes goes. The problem for me was the draft beer was awful!

Great food and the staff were amazing, special shout out to Rob in particular and our server Joe who both pushed the boat out and really went above and beyond for us, all around a great experience and will be returning

The staff were great, everybody we spoke to were lovely but unfortunately it couldn’t make up for the quality of the food. Soggy dough, all toppings just thrown onto the middle of the pizza clumped together, massively overly seasoned and salty. Would not recommend or go back. Pizza punks up the road is infinitely better quality, and less expensive

Made a point of visiting Nottingham for the day to visit Rudy's for lunch. Have dined regularly with the chain in Manchester and Liverpool. On entering restaurant, was impressed by look of the place but surprised when told we could not be accommodated, even though restaurant not even half full. They told us they could not accept any walk ins as they were short staffed. We could have booked but website specifically says walk ins are welcome and normally we find booking for lunch is treated as a bit of a curiosity. We were rather baffled and took a moment to realise what was happening. I cannot imagine what would have been the problem accommodating the two of us - how much man power does it take to prepare two pizzas and bring us a couple of cokes! They could even have warned us there might be a bit of a wait which would have been fine, but no, in essence it was a massive "f*** off". We considered alternative options of which there are many in Nottingham, including Pizzamisu, but plumped for Pizza Pilgrims instead. Perhaps the chain should risk jeopardising its reputation with loyal customers by expanding too fast if they cant offer the expected service. Shocking experience. Rudy's is up there as our favourite pizza chain, along with Franco Manca, but after this experience we are very tempted to patronise the latter next time we have the choice.

We had a lovely experience at Rudy's. The pizzas were fresh, lots of choice of toppings, well cooked and tasty. The food and drinks are reasonably priced and value for money. The staff were all excellent, helpful, friendly and professional. The atmosphere on Thursday early evening was really nice. We will definitely visit again.

Top notch service from Ty! He really made sure we had the best time. It was my birthday , and we had a blast. The food was fab and the atmosphere sublime. Will defo be back. Thank you again Ty :)

Absolutely the best Pizza around..... Orders come so quickly, our pizzas arrived before our drinks!!!! It does have a high turn around but to be fair the food is sooooo good it's not a problem. Staff are lovely and the place has a great atmosphere. Definitely be back.

What a great find! Easy to book online, and the lovely chap on duty noted our request for a quick turnaround because we had an event to get to. Super friendly service and delicious, authentic Neapolitan pizzas which were beautifully presented. Nice buzzy atmosphere - even early doors on a cold mid-January Monday night. This place deserves to do well.

I went to Rudy’s to celebrate my friends birthday recently, when I wasn’t happy with my pizza they immediately remade it and gave us money off the bill. The customer service is faultless, I’ll definitely be returning and recommending. We gave paid a big tip as the food was so good.

Lovely welcome by great attentive staff. Beautiful building with original interior fixtures. Even has the original bank vaults. Pizzas huge, thin and very tasty. Unfortunately one arrived without ordered topping and this meant it wasn’t particularly hot when we tucked in. The portobello pizza was delicious. Coffee wasn’t Hot only warm. Overall great value left feeling full.

We came to Rudy’s tonight for my Dad’s birthday. I had never been before and from the outside looking in it looked like a nice spot to try. However, when I walked in it was even better. The service from the moment I entered was absolutely incredible (as always I was late to the party!) - the server showed me where the table was and I joined my family and then Tanya came along to serve us. My dad mentioned he had been speaking to Bruno who had offered him some wild boar to try… This (according to Dad) was delicious! Tanya came over and took our orders and bought our drinks over in great time. The pizza’s were huge, light and far from doughy… Perfection! As soon as I took a bite it was like my number 1 pizza spot in England had officially been confirmed. We felt so stuffed after our pizza but due to the amazing service we had received from Tanya and Bruno throughout the course of our meal we made room for dessert. But before my Dad (the birthday boy) picked up the menu a candlelit Tiramisu appeared (from Tanya) for his birthday! He was DELIGHTED… AND he let me try some. I had never tried Tiramisu before and honestly this was gorgeous. It wasn’t too coffee flavoured and had a light and fluffy texture. Soooo good! My stepmom had some ice cream which was also lovely. The whole experience was fantastic and I could not recommend somewhere enough!!! It’s not often you’re this pleased by the service and the food in Nottingham! A combination of awesomeness. A huge thank you to the chefs, Tanya and Bruno for making my Dad’s birthday meal so special! Grazie!
