Rudy's Pizza Napoletana - Headingley in Leeds

My daughter and I had lunch at Rudy's today and I was very impressed with the pizzas and the service. Olivia-Rose was our waitress and she was very friendly and helpful. We had garlic pizza bread to start and then I had the Carne pizza and my daughter had the Portobello pizza and as you can see they were huge, cooked to perfection and delicious. I highly recommend a visit.

Came for Mother’s Day and was a lovely surprise to find mums got a free drink and dessert. We were served by Jacob and he was amazing! It was our first time at Rudy’s and will definitely be back.

Came out for date night on a busy Friday night without a booking (our bad) and federica moved things round to fit us in!!! Joe then took our orders for the evening and was extremely welcoming and helpful. Outstanding customer service from everyone and great food!

Celebrated a friend's birthday here and the food was absolutely 💯 delicious. Trust me and get the triple pepperoni, sounds basic compared to the other stuff but it's so so delicious. Salivating just thinking about it right now. The staff was also so great and kind about getting the cake out as a surprise for the birthday boy. They put such cute candles on top for us as well. Overall such a lovely experience here and I'll definitely be back for the food. Its not overly expensive either!

Been to so many Rudy's restaurants and this is by far the best one. Come here at least once a week, can't get enough. Great food and service, worth every penny.

This is one of my favourite places to eat as a student - I have been multiple times and have never been disappointed. The staff are super friendly and the food is incredible!

celeste is SO welcoming and lovely, and the pizzas were huge! the vegan nduja was a great option and it didn’t taste like vegan cheese which is always a plus. portobello pizzas were scrumptious, and the morello cherry spritz were also soooo good. celeste checked up on us a few times to see if the food was ok and it always was! thankyou lovely woman xx

Food excellent, but took far too long (nearly an hour) when it was lunchtime on a weekday and not that busy. Have been served far quicker in other Rudy’s locations. Staff were friendly but seemed to prioritise take away orders over sit in customers.

Great pizza, server was very polite but the kitchen forgot to bring out a salad with our pizza. No worries though, would definitely visit again.

Perfect pizza to end the year with! Me, my partner and my housemate came along to order to take home 3 pizzas (×2 Doppia Mozzarella + 1 triple pepperoni) and a tomato garlic bread. I'm happy to say it was very much enjoyed as we welcomed in the new year. The staff were wonderful letting up take an empty table to just look at the menus while we decided, we would have stayed in the restaurant but we wanted the comfort of our house only 5 min walk away. Easy and quick to place an order to pay, service was lovely along with the atmosphere. I thought I'd take a photo of the Menu to help fellow pizza enjoyers pick this wonderful place!

Pizza, just how I like super thin, only issue was pizza arrived not cut lol. Was a bit cold as well when delivered. They tasted really good though 😋 great offer 55 quid 4 pizzas, a starter, and 4 drinks.

Idk if they were chatting or not paying attention or saving products but a pinch of material in the middle doesn’t look like an Italian pizza looks like a pyramid in the dessert. Don’t do that!

Don't take walk ins despite saying that they do. Disappointing. Only 2 of us to seat and clearly overbooked themselves. Misleading

Very quaint place with great food and staff

Last night, we ordered 2 pizzas from Rudy's. What a disappointment!!! The dough was not bad, but it was not good either. As for the toppings (one triple calabresa and one Portobello), they could not be more scarse...a true disappointment.

The pizza was very nice and the service was prompt and friendly (which is to be expected when it's very quiet) Out of the three Rudy's restaurants in Leeds this is now my preferred. There's easy. Parking across the road and it isn't rammed. Will definitely return soon

Booked a table for a work group pizza. Our orders were taken over the phone when booking which made the service nice and quick. We were shown to our table and drink orders taken. They double checked our pizza order too. Everything went smoothly and the staff were very nice and attentive. Pizza was great, got the triple pepperoni and I fully recommend it. Light dough, not stodgy, cooked perfect. First time trying Rudys and I'll definitely be back again.

Such a cute little lunch date, service was really friendly and our waitress had an awesome outfit on. The heater is adorable although it does tan your forehead, pack the factor 50!

Food was delicious, bill wasn't expensive at all even though we all had alcoholic drinks as well, service was speedy and attentive.

Great pizza. Super busy as always. Staff were attentive at first and took the order real fast but things got worse from there. Forgotten drinks. Forgotten dips. We wanted dessert but we could not get attention. Not in a British way. In a stand up and walk over and ask a server way. Eventually, after waiting pretty long, we got up to leave. Our waiter said thanks and wished us a good night. I said “maybe we should pay be before we leave?”

First Rudy’s pizza experience and we were so impressed! I had the vegan lamb pizza & was so happy to hear the garlic pizza bread could be made vegan too. Staff were lovely, we’ll 100% be back.

Great pizza as always. Nice location and atmosphere especially when sitting outside looking at people dressing up for Otley Run. That adds joy to the meal. Love it!

The pizza it’s Ok however no options for people who dont eat pork 😯. I know regular italian pizza is like that but this is a different country 🤔 the man serving us , talked as if he is not too bothered about answering our questions and somehow we bothered him at his workplace 😅. Certainly will not come back 🙃 i gave 2 stars instead of 1 people the other waitress was nice n helpful. So the other star is for her. Oh, also the music was suuuuper load🙂

The food was lovely. Pizzas were all delicious, perfect size. The only thing was that service was a bit slow. We waited 30 minutes for our drinks and 45 for our food but still really enjoyed it!

The food was amazing, but the service left much to be desired. Despite the restaurant being half empty, they repeatedly missed placing cutlery on tables and got some food orders wrong. Our drinks were also incorrect. We requested dessert menus and had to remind the waitress as she did not bring them initially. Our pizzas were exceptional. They were perfectly cooked, and the portion size was just right to feel satisfied without overeating. We will definitely return for those. However, we were disappointed with the mixed olives, as they switched from nice, large olives with pits to tiny, pitted ones. Shame the place is so poorly managed when serving such nice food.

Really great place to go and grab food as couples, family or multi generation party. Food was happily slower here than the opening in Rudy's in town. This was despite this being early in the night. We got drinks before food. Makes it seem a lot more like a restaurant and less like a 20 min table turnover. Definitely back to this version! Huzzah!

My first visit to the Headingley branch for my Granddaughters 4th Birthday. Staff friendly especially Our waiter Daniel on his first day. There was a few minor issues that was rectified straight away. He was very attentive and humorous and made my Granddaughter feel very special with a candle on Brownie and icecream for her birthday..... All our pizzas were amazing .Thank you. We will be back x

Been to Rudys a couple of times before (in Headingly) and always been satisfied with the food! Yesterday I went for my friends birthday and the food was good again. However we were so neglected compared to usual- it was not that busy as we had a late table. We had our food orders taken but apart from that we were neglected the rest of the night with nobody asking if we were okay or asking or more drinks. I had to go and find someone to ask to get a desert for my friends birthday which they brought over before they had even cleared the dirty plates infront of us. My other friend joined late and nobody came to see if she was okay or needed a drink (again had to hunt someone down) Such a shame because usually no issue but it was annoying considering the occasion- we were not made to feel special at all.

First time visiting Rudy‘s with my fellow friends and I impressed! The starter was delicious and the pizzas very even better! Only nit pick of mine would be the service as it was a bis slow despise the fact that the restaurant wasn’t very busy and it was a Sunday as well! Furthermore some staff were wearing a uniform and some weren’t which can be confusing for some. Food was top notch but I must warn you that they are very generous with chilli oil for people who are trying to watch their figure or are spice sensitive.

Great authentic tasting pizza and friendly service! Would recommend for these reasons alone! Broken fridge and delivery problem meant no beer or apple juice. Also, although the honey and chilli dip was delicious, I don’t like having that served in a plastic disposable container when I’m sitting in the restaurant. The menu is also not that clear for vegetarian or vegan choices, but they really will cater to your needs - just ask the waiter. Amazing value for money though and the food really was great!

I come here often and am never disappointed. All of the pizzas are delicious and the drink selections are great. I always recommend anything with n'duja and the tiramisu. Booking is quite necessary, probably a week before if you are aiming for a weekend, as it gets very busy.

First time eating at Rudy's, but it's definitely not my last. I loved my pizza, probably one of the best pizza's I have ever had. I wolfed it down in record time. <3

Usually we love Rudys. First time at the Headingley branch and it was shocking! Had my hand up for longer than I spent with it down, they forgot our drinks, our dips, and then the condiments tray too - had my hand up for 5 mins without anyone seeing. Was a joke! To top it all off - the feedback we left suggested we should email Steve@rudys and he was going to sort a round of pizzas for me and my partner to demonstrate the exceptional service they usually provide - emailed twice and got nothing haha. 2nd Review - Steve got in touch finally and welcomed me and my partner to a meal down at Headingley branch this eve - this time they were faultless and made the night top class. Thanks guys for putting things right.

Awful staff at this branch! Very slow service, had us waiting at the door and then blamed us for being out of the reservation time slot when finally approached by staff. Was told by a staff member that the kitchen is closed & the oven was off - whilst the kitchen staff were in fact making pizza in that moment w the oven on… Manager also came up w a different excuse to this staff member. Left w no food! Seems like they only cater to a certain demographic. I said what I said.

Had a lovely late lunch, pizza was delicious and the affogato was a great finish to the meal. Staff were fantastic, felt really looked after throughout the visit. I will deffo go again!

Lovely pizza, terrific Caesar salad, excellent beer (Rudy's pale). Nice staff but could do with one or two more waiting tables.

Booked for a group of 8 on Saturday- would not have been able to walk in as the restaurant was very full. Despite it being busy, drinks and food orders were taken quickly, with everything arriving very quickly. Pizza had a good thin base, with just the right amount of toppings. My only complaint would be it was almost too loud to have a conversation, but this is to be somewhat expected in a busy restaurant with high ceilings.

Delicious pizza. Walked in to order takeaway and the pizzas were ready within 10 minutes. I love the romagnola pizza and their white pizzas (no tomato sauce, garlic base). Only negative is they have no gluten free options.

While every time I have been to Rudy's the food has been good, with the pizza really hitting the spot, I think it is only fair that I do make a comment on the service. In all my experiences at this Rudy's location, of which there have been MULTIPLE, the service has always been incredibly slow, and sometimes we felt ignored by the waiters. One a couple of occasions, we were not approached by the staff for at least 20 minutes on sitting down and the food service itself has been very slow even when we've been the only one's in there. Moreover, I do really love the atmosphere of this restaurant with its chic yet homey anterior.

I've changed my review! It's gone up! from a 0 to a 4. Previously gave a bed review due to lack of gluten free options but now there are some so that's much better. Also had a great experience on the day with Leoni who was really welcoming and made sure we had a great time - great service. To get a 5 there would have to be some GF mains and also for it to be less cold - chilly if you end up near the door.

Great freshly made pizza with a light base. (Beautiful base) Met by a friendly waitress, seated quickly and the drinks and food ordered within a timely fashion. Decent selection of pizza and drinks available but pizza is only available in ONE size and NO kids menu. They have boxes for you to take any uneaten pizza home. Food was hot on arrival but wished it was a little hotter as it soon cooled and the base started to stiffen. A great pizza place started in Manchester and even the Italians would enjoy.

Very good Neapolitan style pizza if that is what you are looking for. Very busy and loud atmosphere so not the kind of place for an intimate quiet meal, but perfect for a larger group or if you want some good pizza. Good variety of topping options and prices aren’t too bad either.

The good: the food. Hats off, they do use very good ingredients and know how to make pizza. They are particularly proud of their pizza oven cooking a pizza in 60 seconds. The terrible: the slowest service in Christendom. We are here at 5pm. Place is half full. Took 35 minutes for cold starters (burrata and a caprese salad) to arrive. 4 drinks took nearly 15 minutes. Pizza still hasn’t arrived nearly an hour after ordering. I get that it’s not “fast food”. And that’s a good thing. But something isn’t working when it takes this long to get 4 pizzas. I’m not sure if it’s intentional or ineptitude. But if I were the business owner I’d be pretty annoyed that I go to the effort to source the best ingredients with a ‘simple’ USP of ‘pizza and beer’ and customers wait for an hour in a half full restaurant for 4 pizzas. Anyway, food was tasty. Edited to add - the staff were lovely and the service itself was just fine. But unnecessarily slow.
