Taj Majestic Dining in Leeds

Excellent food, very authentic. We came for Pakistani breakfast. Very reasonable prices. Good service. Nice and clean, and good atmosphere inside. Definitely recommend.

amazing food cooked perfectly mild for me and the staff can't do enough for you, spotlessly clean, can't fault it on anything to be fair, it's on my list for another visit soon.

If I could give the service 0 stars I would. The worst service in the world. The food was okay. After finishing our food I asked for desserts which took forever to come. Whilst waiting for the desserts we asked for out table to be cleaned, not once, not twice but multiple times and the lady would take one plate then leave. It was not until probably asking 5 times she finally emptied the plates off the table. When ordering the desserts we asked for ice cream to come with it. Our desserts arrive without ice cream- we asked where our ice cream was and the guy says the lady took your order I don’t know. He ends up eventually getting the ice cream which was literally melted! I’ll insert a picture. I didn’t even know ice cream could be warm how did they even think it was okay to serve. I called the guy back to let him know the ice cream is all melted and he laughs and says oh we forgot to put the freezer on?? The service was just so bad we asked for the bill at this point. Again, the bill was not on its way so we got up to ask for the bill at the till instead -bear in mind the place was not even busy for the service to be this bad. If you are thinking of trying this place don’t because it is not worth it. The lady and guy that were serving were rubbish servers.

Visited for the first time. We waited for a very very long time to get the food we ordered. The keema dish was absolutely delicious. Just like my mum would make it, however for almost £10 we got a mere bowlful. Mum had the fish which came as a tiny side . 3 tiny pieces for £5+ ..whilst I can't complain about the taste ..I'm a bit disappointed with the quantity. Overall if I fancied a home cooked meal and could wait almost 40 minutes..I would visit again

Visiting this place was like walking through a labyrinth of disappointment. As soon as we walked in we noticed the place had ZERO customers - First flag. Sat down in a booth of four and looked at the menu. Menu wasn't too informative or overwhelming. We ordered the mix platter and seekh kebab for starters and for mains the Taj special dish and rice along with sundries. Starters- bland, tasteless and simple lacking flavour. SECOND FLAG - the Taj special dish was requested to be desi style hot... Upon our first bite it was bland. The chicken tasted old and It was basically shredded chicken in masala. THIRD FLAG. Along with all this hopelessness we ordered a mango lasso which was basically water and a strawberry mocktail which was just syrup.FOURTH FLAG! we left £45 light and half eaten food. All the reviews on tiktok and online must be fake or people in Leeds may not know what flavour is! Lastly the lady at the counter was slagging off customers loudly and proudly - FINAL FLAG!!!

“True taste of Lahore in Leeds!” First time visiting Taj Restaurant in Roundhay and I’m genuinely impressed. The food truly captures the authentic taste of Lahore – full of flavour and beautifully presented. The hospitality and service were exceptional, making the whole experience even better. Definitely won’t be the last time I come here – already looking forward to the next visit!

Food was good, the place itself was lovely. Some constructive critisism - It was cold and no lights on upon arrival, may be nicer to arrive to a warm lit dining area. Music was a little annoying but thats just personal preference. Honestly a lovely place and I would come again, just a few things to feel more welcomed upon arrival.

So decided to in as I was in Leeds based on reviews. Overall experience for food was a disappointment. We had the Aribian Mixed grill there was nothing Aribian about it. The chicken wings tasted as though they had been reheated, lamb seekh was not nice. The rest was edible. Mains we had half kg of lamb Karahi. I give that 2 out of 5. Meat did not taste fresh and was mixed meat from different parts of the animal. I wouldn't be visiting again.

We have been coming here for over a year now and order the exact same thing every time due to special dietary needs of my family. The young waiter looks after us so well and having him serve us just makes our evening here perfect. The lamb karahi is amazing and the chef should be proud. If you are from London you will know everyone talks about Tayybas lamb karahi; I will tell you this is 100 times better. We enjoy coming here because it is a great casual evening out, no fancy frills. Just great food and excellent service from young guy who knows to always give my son extra cucumbers.

I eat a lot of curry’s all round the country and this one tonight was one of, if not, the best I’ve had… Everything from the poppadoms and pickle tray to the desserts were unbelievable, authentic and fresh, the waiters and service were exceptional and could not fault a thing, can’t wait to go back. Five stars

WOULD NEVER EVER RECOMMEND DUE TO STAFF!!! Absolutely worse experience with staff. We were invited in a party but staff threatened my child saying "they are going to put him in boiling water!" When we went to ask they lied initially that my child is lying!! When confronted him with child, he then apologised for lying as he said he was scared to not create a fuss! I don't understand what kind of words were these to use child and then you make excuse to lie and blame my child instead?? PATHETIC! P.S.food was good.

My go to place for a meal out, prices are perfect and the food is incredible. I'll always get the chicken karahi with garlic naan it's a staple! Been here 4 times already and the food has always been the best! Served by Love today who was so kind and so accommodating.

Majestic Indeed. I really do find it hard to review a restaurant that is a 5 start 10 out of 10. I want to find a fault with it. I can't fault Taj this time or any of the times. I’ve been going on and off there for 40 odd years. They been a staple of Leeds for multiple generation. Started off one the very first takeaways on Roundhay Road. Servings proper traditional Pakistani food and sweets. Now, Taj finally have established an eating-in experience worth paying for. The prices are so competitive you would think it's one of the high end places we get from Bradford. For me, Taj are better. The quality of the menu supersedes quantity, with staple traditional Pak-British combinations to suit everyone. It's all very well taking a photo of the food before you eat it. How about one of the empty dishes. Too good to not eat it all up.
