Rudy's Neapolitan Pizza in Leeds

The pizzas are excellent. However, we waited nearly an hour to be served our food. Though the staff brought us olives and crisps to make amends.

Rudy's Pizza Napoletana is a must-visit for pizza lovers! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the authentic vibe and the warm welcome from the staff. They took the time to introduce the restaurant’s philosophy, focusing on traditional Neapolitan pizza made with high-quality ingredients. The crust was beautifully charred and perfectly chewy, made from a simple dough that’s left to rise for 24 hours. The tomato sauce was fresh and flavorful, and you could taste the quality of the ingredients in every bite. The mozzarella di bufala was creamy and rich, really elevating the pizza. I appreciated the dedication to authenticity in both the cooking methods and the ingredients, making me feel like I was enjoying pizza straight from Naples. Overall, Rudy’s delivers an incredible pizza experience, and I can’t wait to go back for another slice!

Bit of a let down really, been trying to go for a few week after walking past and never having availability, managed to finally get booked in for 9pm, so hopes were high if it was this busy. The staff were lovely, couldn't fault them so no complaints, seating was good and didn't feel cramped. The wait for food also wasn't too bad to say how busy it was. Drinks were good too, no fruit cider but the Lemonade cocktail was a good substitute! The only issue is, the pizza wasn't good, by any stretch really. Very soggy base and lacked flavour. Really the key things you'd expect to be the main attraction of a pizzaria. Hope it was just a one off but it was disappointing.

The pizzas are lovely. The staff are very friendly. Just a shame that the last time I went that my pizza was a bit on the cool side with spoilt it a bit but I was hungry so I tucked in and ate most of it. They did give me a box to take what I couldn’t eat and I heated the next day in my air frier and it was delicious.

Pizza was very good with high quality ingredients. NO ridiculous service charge was added to the bill which I thought was excellent.

First visit yesterday can’t speak highly enough of the whole experience

First time we've ever been asked to vacate our table, despite offering to buy another bottle of Primitivo and there being two empty tables (three including our vacated one) after 8pm on a Wednesday! Don't bother with Rudy's. If you want to relax, rather than rush your meal, go to a Leeds Pizza restaurant that treats their customers with respect: Veeno, Franco Manca, Pizza Express, Pizza Pilgrim..... Very short sighted, penny wise, pound foolish policy at Rudy's.

Pizza is brilliant but service can be a bit slow or forgetful when busy. Also it tends to be quite loud. But it’s worth for the food! They have good offers on sometimes like the Negroni Month this September - so worth it!

Hannah was the best server ever. They even realised it was a special day to celebrate for me and brought us complimentary lominchello aperitif. What a delight the evening was, and the food was top notch.

This was quite possibly one of the worst pizzas I've had in my life. It was so incredibly sloppy and wet, that it had turned into a sludge you probably couldn't legally feed inmates in a prison. Triple Pepperoni apparently means three slices of Pepperoni. This one is a huge "avoid" for me and one of the more disappointing visits after some recommendations from colleagues.

Best pizza in Leeds . So quick and the staff are very friendly. I will be back here to eat when I return to Leeds. I've been coming to Leeds a lot and was told about this Gem of a place.

Server was great but food arrived before drinks, so I think the bar staff were struggling, but is was a Saturday. Food was just as good at the one in Chaple A.

Lovely pizza and accompaniments, a hearty size and very tasty..the service was great and the price was reasonable.

Great pizza. Some unique and interesting toppings and went well with the garlic sauce. Not pictured was the tiramisu that was finished in about 10 seconds. I do recommend and would return if I was back in Leeds.

Food was lovely and couldn’t fault it, didn’t have any kids crayons etc which would have been a bonus!

We were short on time so let the server know. They took our food and drink order within a couple of minutes and we got our food and drinks a few minutes later. It meant we were in and out in just over 39 minutes meaning we weren't late for a show. Fabulous service and the best pizzas in Leeds. One pizza did two of us (they're very big) so cheap too!

Tasty pizza at Rudy's and friendly and fast service from the team, but terrible contact prior to our meal. I came here with a large party from work (17 in total) and they accommodated us wonderfully, we had a great time. However, it was more stressful for me than it should have been, as I did not receive any replies to multiple emails and either could not get through on the phone, or, when I left a message, did not receive a call back. I was told when making the booking (which was also difficult as I did not receive confirmation) to confirm exact numbers closer to the time, and that I'd need to preorder the pizzas if the numbers got too close to 20. I couldn't do either of these as I could not get in touch. I was contacted by email to give feedback on my visit, where I shared this, but also did not receive a response. I was charged for a drink we did not receive, but given the total inability to respond via normal methods, I might have to go in person to claim it back, not really worth the ~4 quid. Deducting 2 stars as we did all eventually have a nice time, but I wasted a lot of time trying to get hold of the team and would have appreciated some response. I would not recommend for a large party where this kind of contact is required!

You just cant go wrong with a rudys. Pizza is always gorgeous. Wide range of drinks choice. Devine desserts. Lovely staff. Simply a great spot for a good time :)

Pizza was authentic and tasty, we all had margaritas or Tonno. Our waiter Morgan was attentive and friendly. Would definitely recommend!

Lovely atmosphere and lovely staff. The pizzas looked amazing. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star is because there was no salt in the dough which let the pizzas down which was a real shame. I will be back as I am pretty sure that this was just an accidental coincidence

Went with my friend on a thursday and despite the food being good as always, service was questionable and a few of the staff members put me off coming back. Two of the girls looked extremely angry and miserable, we were waiting half an hour for a bill and avoided asking around for it in thinking they would be annoyed or give us bad service- one was blonde with short hair and one brunette. seemed unapproachable hence why we waited so long and got the attention of a much nicer member of staff who brought us the bill and took our payments a few minutes afterwards. I have worked in hospitality myself and understand the stress and fluster of a big restaurant and loads of customers but i also learned to keep my cool and put a happy face on for a few hours until I get off shift. There is a branch closer to me and will be going to that one instead as staff have always been kind and seemed happy to help. Again, food was very nice and meal decent value.

Ordered a takeaway and got two very cold pizzas after an hour or so. If they were warm they would be decent but this wasn't a great experience at all. Better if you go in to the restaurant I think.

I visited with the family for the 2nd time today. Our waitress was uneventful. No smile, we felt like an inconvenience. There was debris on the chairs when we sat to the table. The chairs were also dusty at the back. By brother order a line beer, peroni on tap, he said you could tell the lines were dirty and would not recommend anything on tap. The food arrived quickly. All the pizzas had burnt bubbles around the edges and the bases were doughy. The salad was over dressed and the quality of the salad leafs were tough and chewy. I was dubious about the quality of the salami and the texture was much more like bacon. However, nobody was enjoying there burnt offerrings so I was now looking for faults. I feel the photo of the pizza I had last year looks far more delightful than yesterday's pizza and from my original post i clearly enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere. We chose not to finish our meal and sent it back. The manager did ask if there was anything she could do to make things better but we had cinema tickets and didn't wish to be held up. ORIGINAL POST Called in on a busy Saturday afternoon and couldn't fault the place, staff (even when rushed), and pizza could not be faulted. High standars all round.

I live overseas but travelled back to my hometown and my friends suggested Rudys. Pizza was very good, highly recommend. I’d be hesitant to come back on the experience of some of the staff. We got in and the female waitress came over with have you booked? Our reply was no. She went to speak to someone else, she came back and said well you’ll have to wait 15 minutes. My reply was that’s fine. This looked to bothered her, she asked us to go sit at the bar, and told us we’re spread thin today so just try grab whoever you can for a drink and walked off?! (looking very dissatisfied that we chose to wait and the place wasn’t full by any means) Waited 15 mins at the bar - a guy came to stack bottles. My friend asked if we could order drinks with him. His response was “not with me mate, if you can see I’m busy” he then spent the rest of the time lining up the bottles perfectly and making sure the labels were facing the front. I’d of given 1 star for service if it wasn’t for the very friendly and professional Eurasian gentleman who took our order that saved my experience. I’ve worked in F&B before and it’s not easy but there’s a way to speak to customers!

Highly recommend this place. It's really nice, friendly staff, food is brilliant and the place is very clean. Popped in at the recommendation of our daughters. We had a shared meat and bread starter with some of their excellent chilli honey dip. Well presented, a good-sized portion, and very tasty. This was followed by an anchovies andcapers pizza and a triple peperoni pizza. Both were very good, a great size and lovely texture, and again, good value for money. The Caesar salad was excellent too. The service was brilliant, too. Great place to eat. Thanks

WoW, we called in off chance with no booking. Unfortunately, Rudy's didn't have a table available but that wasn't a problem, we were asked if we would like to sit in front of the Pizza Oven, which was fine with us. Romario was our waiter and he was welcoming us and taking our drinks order within five minutes of sitting down. Once Romario had brought our drinks and water we placed our orders and watched our Pizzas created right in front of our eyes. Our Pizzas arrived within fifteen minutes, perfect and as per usual they were #Amazing Fantastic service, amazing food at a great price, what more would you want, thanks and see you soon...

I had triple pepperoni pizza and an Italian beer, it was delicious, pizza was probably one of the best I have had.

Great service from Evie, Alex and Ben. One of those places that is always brilliant in terms of food, service and value. Everyone is friendly and efficient. Great to see the place not losing its vibe as it gets busier.

Me and my friend came to this restaurant today for our meal. The food was brilliant, our waiter was chatty and funny. Food was great for the price but we didn't receive our pot of hot honey we wanted on the side of our meal. Other than that, brilliant restaurant.

This was some of the best pizza I have had in a long time. Large sizes with fresh ingredients, I ordered the wrong base and asked if they could add some more cheese to the original and they completely cooked a fresh one without asking. The staff were lovely and attentive. It's ideally situated close to the station so great for filling up before a long train journey.

Only a couple of vegan options on the pizzas, but the one I picked was fantastic. Really unusual combo, but really enjoyable.

I cannot give full marks because it was not the best pizza in my life. Like for real napoletana the dough was too little hydrated (the dough was soft, but I would expect it to be even softer), the edge also should be raised and it wasn’t. Burrata should be more delicate and after cutting it in half it should melt - it was not fulfilled. The rest was good, but this restaurant seemed to be quantity oriented rather than quality. For this price I would expect something better. The service was good, but probably lacking communication. I ordered pizza and a drink and got pizza first and I needed to ask waiter to bring drink for me.

I wrote a review about my experience as an allergen. I was told the pizza is vegan and had a reaction after eating two slices. Which means there was dairy in the pizza. I had explained that I do have a severe dairy allergy and it’s not by choice that I prefer this. After my review you immediately emailed me and asked for details as you wanted to investigate. I emailed you again and asked for the outcome and you ignored my email. No accountability at all. It was my 11 year olds birthday meal, just so by the way.

First time dining at Rudy's and I must say, it was an amazing experience. To start with, I didn't have a prior booking, yet they were kind enough to get me a seat without much waiting. Cosy atmosphere, great vibe and most importantly, their pizzas are so delightful.

Pizza is great! I ordered the triple pepperoni and I recommend not having the chilli honey due to how the sweet it made the pizza. However, the selection of drinks was good. Also we had to wait for a table when there was clearly table availability.

Pizza dough was not cooked enough, defenetly not enough mozzarella and sweet tomato source. Defenetly not a Neapolitan pizza.

Orla provided us with excellent service and the food was delicious as always - can’t wait for our next visit!

The best pizza in Leeds hands down! Only thing I will say is that they can sometimes be a little slow with getting drinks to the table and on this particular occasion they were completely forgotten and we had to re-order.

A conveniently located place for a lovely taste of South Italy. The food was good, but we were being constantly interrupted by our waitress. While pressure to leave your table after an hour is clear, there simply no need to constantly interrupt people's dynamics. A good conversation at the table can heighten the restaurant's capacity to deliver a good experience.

Awesome choice of pizzas. Our third visit to Rudy's. It's always good. The toppings are fresh and crust is perfect. Highly recommended for Neapolitan pizzas.

Chiefs need a raise and waiting staff need some improvement. With respect we did go at 21:00 after England Game on a Saturday but waiting staff need to be prepared for it. So waited 30 mins for our starters and waitress asked us if we were finished before we even had our starters, very unprofessional but a waiter sorted it out Garlic Bread was delicious and the Pizza’s were even better. Sorry didn’t know names. Bill was sorted quickly which we appreciated but yeah food was amazing but waiting staff could do some improvements.

Booked for 12pm, arrived at 11:52 and saw a table was already occupied so we went in and was seated, was told that they would not take orders until 12, which was fine, so we were the 2nd table to be seated. While we're looking at the menu a few more tables are filled, then at 12:10 the hostess who seated someone next to us took our drinks order. While waiting for the drinks to arrive several tables had their orders taken and 2 had food delivered to them. Half of our drinks order arrives and our food order was taken, 5 minutes later our remaining drinks order arrives. We are now at 12:30 and people that arrived after we ordered have got food delivered to their table, half our food then arrives at 12:43 with an apology that the 2nd pizza had to be remade and would be 5 minutes. 3 tables have now already eaten and left by this point, when the other pizza arrives the other tables had been filled and orders taken. The pizza was lovely and I would definitely recommend it but the service is shocking. Before leaving this review I went to look if others had experienced the same and I saw a review 3 days prior had experienced this service with a reply from Rudy's blaming it on the till system, that may be true for that time but this time this was purely down to the staff, from the looks of it all the serving staff were having a catch up behind the bar in between taking orders and slowing the service down, people arriving and standing at the door for a few minutes and having to wave to the staff behind the bar for attention when the restaurant was still half empty. If we had have experienced this service at an evening meal out where we would have had 3 courses and coffee after we would not have been able to get through half of it in the 1:30 minutes they allocate you.

We visited here one evening before a show and they managed to squeeze us in without a booking. We were sat at a large table shared with other people which was fine. The pizzas were lovely and had to try the tiramisu which was also nice. Would visit again.

Booked and ate in. It took ages for someone to take our drinks order and when they were brought over we then had to wait ages to make our food order. Ordered 4 pizzas plus a side of Caesar salad which took over an hour before we received any food. The first 2 pizzas arrived and by the time the other 2 arrived the people on our table had eaten half theirs. The croutons in the Caesar salad were like rocks. Pizza’s were very basic and lacked any real taste. The double pepperoni pizza was just slop.

If you like soft pizza bases (which I do) then this is the place to go.

We had arrived in Leeds from Spain and had seen this restaurant had good reviews however on arrival at 9.30pm we were told they were closing and could only have take away pizzas even though there was tables, they closed at 10pm and we offered to be quick it was a definite NO! Very disappointing but luckily we found Pizza Pilgrims round the corner and it was fab and very welcoming.

I visit often with my children as they like it here. Sadly, I don't rate the pizzas which are more often than not just sloppy and messy to eat. This last visit they forgot half of our drinks and food so it wasn't the best experience. The toilets are usually clean but downstairs and just feel odd. Not a huge fault of the restaurant but a young lady decided to stretch back over our table and hit my son in the face. That's how close they sit the tables to each other. 😂

A lovely and warm welcome but they don't have a kids menu unfortunately. I was aware of this before our visit so decided to share a pizza. I was aware they were huge so I didn't want to buy 2!! Unfortunately I don't eat meat, my 8 year old does but the restaurant said it wasn't possible to buy toppings for her half of the pizza. I was willing to pay full price for the toppings but wasn't given an explanation as to why it wasn't possible. Pizza was delicious but basic without toppings we could both eat. A real shame but will definitely visit the new one in our city when it opens but we will take the meat eating members of our family to share the pizza with my daughter while I get an exciting veggie option! Lovely staff though and very friendly and happy so would definitely return if in the area.

I went for dinner alone while on business trip. This restaurant has single seats near the counter where they make pizzas this felt very inclusive and I didn’t want to rush to go away. Pizzas are tasty and very reasonable compared to places like pizza express. I also liked the base it was thin and tasty!

I always thought that eating good Italian food in England was very difficult. Well, here I ate a pizza that would be the envy of many Italian pizzerias, well done!

Was exited to try Rudy’s pizza. I loved the vibe there and the super friendly staff . However , food was below average , Cesar salad has bitter and awkward taste and tomato in the burraata salad was overripe and doesn’t taste good .

The pizzas are plentiful and the staff are friendly. There's a long wait if you don't make a reservation.
