Good, balti was scrumptious but a bit spicy. Overall amazing curry! 👍🍛

We have had takeaways and ate in a few times beforeand had a good experience. But last night we had a takeaway and it was the worst curry we have ever had from anywhere. We ordered our usual meal a bhuna and a bombay. Both described as medium. But this time it was no where near medium. It was crazy spicy. To the point it was inedible. We both ate no more than 2 pieces of chicken each. The flavour was poor. It just tasted of curry powder. As we were in a rush to get out that night we had no time to ask for the meal to be sorted out. We are extremely disappointed. It ultimately turned in to a costly evening as we had to get food on the way to the hospital.

This place is a chav pit! Seems clickey and got stared at by some chavs when I walked in there. Kids running around like it's a play area not an Indian restaurant, kids coughing we sat down and never got serviced! Complete and utter flea pit!!! Avoid didn't try the food, thought I might get beat up after it...

The best curry restaurant I've been to. The Vindaloo was made with flavour & not just chilli powder. Cleared the plate!!! Highly recommended.

Went here 2 weeks ago and have had probs with phone since.... back up now though there was 4 of us in the party and all really enjoyed the meal ....the food was very tasty and fresh and hot ...the staff were brilliant...and if you need any beer the Coop is just across the road ... going again Friday can't wait 😁

Nice food, served promptly. Attentive polite staff. Bit of a cold draught at our table but otherwise fine. Be aware they are unlicensed, but to can bring your own alcoholic drinks if you need them

Ordered a take away on recommendation. Friendly staff and made to feel welcome. Ordered a mix of food for 5 people and everyone enjoyed their food as was reasonably priced, done to a high standard and very tasty. Definitely will be returning for an eat in or takeaway in the very near future. Very happy to recommend

Just some brief context, I drive trucks. I unexpectedly have to sleep out tonight so didn't have any of my overnight gear, so I look a bit homeless(beard, long hair etc). The service is OK. They aren't the usual happy, smiley, bubbley servers you get in a restaurant. When the younger gentleman brought my food out he jist kind of sumped it on the table and walked off without saying anything. Also I felt like they made some assumptions based on my appearance. The speed was overall good though. I ordered the Ruchi platter starter, Delhi railway curry and pashwari naan( they are cash only and I could only get 20 cashback). I found the flavours are far from generic, seasoned well and matches the description given(including the heat level which some Indian resteraunts dont do very well). The pashwari naan seemed to be made in house, drizzled with honey to give it an extra sweet kick which I haven't seen before and I personally enjoyed it. Although I do have a sweet tooth so it may not be to everyone's taste. The sauce provided with the starters were amazing too. Clearly they have their own twists to their food. Atmosphere is good, place is well decorated except a random hole in the wall which has what I can only describe as a vent sticking out of it.

It was cash payment only and you take your own drinks. Meal was great 👍

Thank you so much to naz the local delivery driver who delivers to a few of our neighbours regularly. He delivered some lovely complementary dishes to our door and we was really impressed with the quality of the food, haven’t tried anything so full of flavour and good quality locally before. This really is lucky to receive 1star ! Absolutely awful food uncooked chicken ! Uncooked nann bread , service very poor ! Food came out very slow 3 of the group had to wait 15 minutes for rice and chips and nann after mains dish had been brought out , very unfriendly staff ,and unprofessional attitude , not once asked how our food was I wonder why ! We challenge them about the uncooked chicken and very sweet korma these meals were unedable we were told chicken fine believe me chicken wasn't fine safe to say it was our first time there and our last don't waste your money !!

if i could, i’d give zero stars, went there tonight for a birthday meal and it was horrible! uncooked chicken in curry aswell as uncooked naan bread! korma was basically powder and sugar. Messed up the order 4 times and all we got was rudeness! when finally getting some food it came all separately, by the time you’ve got the all of your food it was cold and then obviously with messing up the order this also caused a delay! clearing the table one of the waiters dropped food all down someone who was with us! Wouldn’t recommend going at all! all they took off the bill was the 2 curries and a naan bearing in mind there was 9 attending the meal! absolutely disgusting.when bring the food over and taking it, i nearly got hit in the face multiple times because of how inconsiderate and close they got to you with the food and themselves! asked to speak to the manager multiple times they refused to come over and speak to us and left someone else to deal with the issue and all we got was rudeness about the situation.

So went here for a birthday meal was awful experience the chicken was uncooked and still pink the owner said it was colouring of the kitchen was so rude about it no one eat there full meal when clearing the table the man dropped naan bread all over myself the korma was powdery and tasted full of sugar and naan bread wasn’t cooked was all doughy waited 15 mins for rice and chips after brought curry out was rude when asked where the items wasWOULD NOT RECOMMEND AVOID AT ALL COST

We order at least once a week from ruchie and we are never ever dissapointed. Fresh meals with good service. Can take a little longer when busy but thats to be expected. Fair prices too. Best Indian take away in the area by a mile :-)

Couldn’t rate the food because even though the restaurant was empty except for 2 tables we were told we could have a table as long as we were only there for an hour 🤷‍♀️

Visited this restaurant this week. We had been many times before, particularly when it was Voujon. It was always really good. Unfortunately, this time it was average at best. We were there early, there were very few others. The waiter was generally disinterested and disengaged. The side plate was on the right rather than the left( a minor detail which any good restaurant should know.) My meal was ok but my friends biryani had tinned/ frozen veg in it and was not good at all.The only good thing was the nan which was delicious . We will not be returning. It only takes one bad experience!

Absolutely ridiculous prices,£50 for 3 curries 3 sundries and 4 poppadoms and 1 garlic naan. Never again!!!!

We ordered from Ruchie because our usual takeaway had closed down, and they are the closest one to us. We ordered the food and the delivery driver struggled to find us (not uncommon so we aren’t angry about that) when I went outside to meet them the driver didn’t even stop the car to give me our food, they didn’t even put their hand break on. The food was just passed out the window while the car was still rolling. When we opened the food we were surprised to have a free be which was nice. We start eating and I thought my chicken was chewy but i didn’t want to moan and be picky. My partner looked at one of his bites in to his chicken and saw pink chicken he then cut up the rest of his chunks and all of them were pink. This is the second time we have eaten with them and we aren’t ordering from them again. Poor delivery and undercooked food. Nothing puts you off eating the rest of your food than pink chicken.

The food was good and the staff friendly. A bit over priced and they only take cash.

Hi just tried to order a takeaway from the menu that came through my door just last week and when he quoted the price it was £12 more than on the menu when i questioned it he put it up another 5 quid so for that they lost my order which came to £77.80 and i got it cheeper at another place i don't like being ripped off in

My food was luke warm but tasty. Last time I ate there My starter was cold yet their takeaways are piping hot. Great food but could improve their in house service

1st visit to this restaurant since it changed owners. Great service and lovely food that’s also well presented. I will definitely be back and also use them for delivery. Highly recommend

Want to update… Jan 2023 Still using Ruchie for eating in and take a ways… still excellent. Jay and the team are superb. 2021… Tried my first dish from Ruchie tonight. Very happy. Rogan Josh with Pilau Rice. Was very tasty and the lamb was lovely and tender. The rice was light and fragrant. The guys in there were very friendly and welcoming too. Definitely recommend and will be back for more!!!

We went to the Ruchie as a family and had the time of our lives. We all had the best food out of any place we've ever eaten. We want to say a big thankyou to the chef 👨‍🍳 and a big thankyou to the team that looked after us that night. The place was nice , clean and had a good mood about it. We stayed in the daysinn hotel so this was a great find recommended by hotel staff. I called the ruchie to see if there was a pub to grab a few drinks first the nice chap said the yew tree was walking distance. The whole evening worked out very nice. Thankyou everyone.

Had a leaflet dropped through the door last week and thought We would give it a try...usually expecting a disappointment..no way ..it was such Lovely food ..Bang on time and added a couple of extras for Us to sample....it was a little cold but we warmed it through in a jiffy...didn't detract from the 5 stars and will definitely use again . Very disorganised promise 1 hour for del It's now been 1 hr 40 mins Tried ring 36 times phone of hook I my self never rated the food I ordered once a korma was like baby slop but my husband rated it

Never publicly write a review but thought I would based on how rubbish the experience was. 2 hours it took to receive our food, no chips that we ordered, no cheese on our naan, about 3 pieces of chicken in my meal and the chicken tikka balti was tasteless our conciliation gift was some onion bhajis that looked like they were 10 years old. Don’t know if it was a one off but won’t be ordering from there again.

We took friends for a meal a couple of weeks ago and would not return. The food wasn't great and when asking could we order some papadums the waiter said no not till you order your main? At 10.15 they was sweeping right by our table. It was a Saturday evening and it was made obvious they wanted us to leave. We made a joke saying are you wanting us to leave and they replied yes we shut at 10.30. Certainly would not recommend. We used to have a takeaway but food has changed so certainly will not be ordering again.

One of the best Indian restaurants I’ve every been to the quality of the place is well established and the food is magnificent personally I’ve been there since it opened. The staff are very kind and the place overall is just a 5 star

We called in here in the hope that it would be nice, we don't live local so took a chance. We didn't regret it one bit, it was by far the best curry we have had in a long time. First visit here and I must say I really enjoyed it. The staff were attentive and pleasant from the second we walked through the door. The menu is really good , it has the basic curries you'd expect, but a lot that were new to me and I've read a lot of menus. We had been going to have a takeaway from elsewhere but their exorbitant price helped us decide to go out and we had a better meal and more items of food for less than the takeaway was costing!! My only request would be to cook the fat on the lamb chops a bit more but the flavour was delicious The surroundings are very pleasant and the whole place had a nice buzz about it- lots of happy people enjoying great food. We will certainly be returning soon.

Food fab, service a bit of a let down.

We usually order from Khans Kitchen but as it was closed for refurbishment it was recommended that we try here given that it’s owned by the same people. Utterly disappointed if I’m to be honest. The whole meal was barely lukewarm. Both the main and rice were watery and practically flavourless, and the chips were limp and greasy! The only nice thing was the naan bread. I sincerely hope that this isn’t what’s to be expected from Khans upon reopening. This experience has made me vary wary of the fact that it could be a possibility. Wouldn’t order from Ruchies again that’s for sure.

Best Indian food ever had! I always order a korma as cannot eat spicy food (makes me ill). Ordered the mango delight - it was heavenly! Partner ordered the Delhi Railway and he enjoyed it too. It was our first time, but also ate with family who have been there several times. Highly recommended 👌 we will definitely be going back 👍

Never again, massively overpriced for what we received, food was late, chips were cold and soggy, naan bread was cold and soggy, and only 3 pieces of chicken in a cold curry, if I wanted to warm my tea in a microwave I would have got a frozen one from morrisons, should have stuck to my normal king of spice Burntwood

Great food but dodgy money management. Apprently it's cash only until the card machine over the road doesn't work then they whip out the card machine 🙄. Oh and becareful the guy behind the till doesn't try and short change you, I've had him try it twice. Great food tho 🤣

We were very fond of the older Voujon which is now Ruchie , the food and service is now on a different level and we feel like we are having a night out enjoying ourselves, in stead of just feeding ourselves Well done Guys

So lucky to have this place pretty much on our doorstep. As someone who grew up eating Indian food, this place gets a massive thumbs up from the whole family.
