Ruchi Indian in Belfast

Ruchi is just so good. Got a Lamb Balti and some poppadoms and chutney. All really fresh and tasty. Best curry in Belfast by far.

This is by far the tastiest Indian takeaway in the whole of Ireland..Had the chicken achari and lamb naga today.I have lived abroad for many years and this is up there with the best... Once you try ruchi every other curry house you visit you will compare it to this. Thanks once again Chef....you are the indeed the best. Bottom line..if you know your curry..this is the place.... Ordered a mixed kebab on chips with salad and house sauce. There was lots of donor meat and about 3 small pieces of low quality, flavourless chicken (pictured in the top right of the disgusting looking photo), so pretty much feel like I was overcharged for a donor kebab. The chips were stale (probably warmed up from yesterday). the salad was non existent (5 crudely chopped pieces of onion). The house sauce just tasted like mayonaise. It's pretty difficult to mess up putting meat on chips with salad and sauce, but these guys managed to somehow. Hard to believe they thought this would be acceptable to present as a meal. Definetley not worth £7. Avoid if you are looking for decent food.

Vengo a Ruchi desde mi primer año en Queens en 2007 y vivíamos a la vuelta de la esquina. 13 años después y creo que nunca he tenido una comida normal en el lugar. Es una de las mejores comidas disponibles en Belfast y la consistencia y calidad de la comida es brillante. Anoche compré un cordero Bhuna con arroz pilau y un ajo naan y fue fantástico. Ruchi me ha arruinado el curry, porque en cualquier otro lugar donde consigo uno ahora (incluidos los grandes nombres de Belfast) la comida siempre palidece en comparación con Ruchi.

Better than anything on the Manchester Curry Mile. Real quality and cooked in front of you. I have just stuffed myself as the portions are rather large.

Ordered food here on the advice of a Bangladeshi taxi driver who said the cooks here operate at a high standard - he wasn't wrong. The food was among the very best I've had in Belfast and came promptly. It was also fairly priced. The bulk of takeaways in Ormeau Rd. tend to be bad quality IMHO but these guys absolutely buck that trend - give them a try if you like Indian food, they know what they're doing.

Tried here for the first time, nicest kebab I have had in ages!! Would highly recommend!! Will try a curry next time!!

We went for the first time because a restaurant closer moved away. We were very surprised. Very tasty fresh food. It's now our new local. Can't believe we left it so long.

Was in Belfast for a week days. And I ended up order every other night. The food tasted amazing. Really fast service and was recommended to try a few dishes as I wasn't sure what to order for the family. And I defo was not disappointed! love LOVED THE FOOD. Will defo order again when I'm down there in a few months!

Always fresh and delicious food from Ruchi , excellent selection and quick delivery, chicken pakora on naan is a particular favourite of mine

I tried several Indians in the last months, Ruchi is definitely at the top. I suggest you to take King Prawn/Lamb Sag with rice, or Chicken Garlic Chilli. Both amazing. Specially the first one, very rare combination of spices you couldn't easily find in restaurants. You can ask to make it Hot If you like it. I definitely recommend it. I am addicted now, they deserve a kind of Nobel prize.

Best Indian take away in Belfast. Consistly great food and very friendly staff. Would love these guys to open a restaurant.

The lady at counter behaved rude to us , dont know why? We got only mushroom fried rice but it was average

I use to drive for ruchi away back in 2008, And i have to say they have the cleanest kitchen ever, The owner does his own cleaning, wouldnt even let ya brush the floor, The food is amazing, customers driving from as far as banbridge to collect, I personally wouldnt get an indian any where else, The owner/chef doesnt mind making you something different, 100% recommended Ruchi.

He estado recibiendo de Ruchi comprada desde 2008, y nunca tuvimos una mala comida. De lejos, el mejor Indio/llevar asiática en Irlanda del Norte. El personal es extremadamente amable y servicial. El curry en la comida para llevar son claramente mejores que la mayoría de los restaurantes en Belfast. Recomiendo encarecidamente, nunca te decepcionará. . .

Have been getting takeaways from Ruchi for years always very good and service always friendly, can't recommend it highly enough. Try the Tarka Dahl... best I've ever tasted.

I've been using Ruchi pretty much since it opened, I go every Saturday evening, it's a 17 mile round trip as I live outside of Belfast, but it's worth it. Unlike a lot of Indian takeaways I've used in the past Ruchi's food is consistently good. It's run by a lovely young couple.Highly recommended.

Have had a wide range of food from ruchi, kebabs are very nice, would recommend a lamb biriyani , by far the best Indian in belfast

El lugar abre hasta tarde, lo que nos permitio luego de una caminata ya que esta cerca del hotel en que nos hospedamos, llevar comida del local. Platos abundantes y frescos, no puedo opinar del local en si porque pedimos para llevar solamente.

It's a takeaway, but it's one of the best Indian meals i've had in Belfast. Used to live near it, but even now that I don't, I won't go anywhere else.

Really tasty Indian food. I was really happy to discover this little gem. Service is always quick even at the busier times. I have never had to wait more than 15 minutes for my order. It is a little on the expensive side but the food is worth it!

Iv been searching for good indian around ormeau area and this is it!! The problem I find is a lot of indian dishes from other places just taste exactly the same, like they differ the dish by one spice or adding more chillis. But Ruchi is delicious, we have had madras, bhuna, masala, patia...and they all tasted different, I don't know if they taste the way they are meant too but it's nice to know they aren't all cooked in same pot. Love it

Best rogan josh I ever had....quite pricey but definitely worth it.... Could maybe give free popodoms with big orders....otherwise very impressed. :)

Lovely flavours. Doesn't feel like everything is stuffed full of colourings, or done on the cheap. Lovely naan breads. Better than the other indian ormeau rd contender

Shared a really nice achari curry, lovely pickled vegetable flavour, with a collection of sides and Nan bread. Really tasty and good ingredients.

Went in for a takeaway and found the staff horrible and rude, the Indian lady basically looked down her nose at me while I was ordering and then I got he food home and it was terrible, never again will inset foot in the place

This is a great take-away indian on the ormeau road. The chef produces some excellent dishes with Great flavours. It is a bit on the expensive side for a carry-out but the food makes up for it.

If you want an excellent Indian takeaway look no further. I have never had a bad meal from Ruchi, beats pretty much any sit in restaurant too. The food is just so tasty!! Never disappoints.

Was reccommeded this place by a friend, really great menu with beautifull flavours in a modern style. I would consider this the best Indian takeaway in Belfast and I have tried many.

I love Indian food and I seek out local Indian restaurants anywhere I travel. I don't know how many dozens of them I've tried over the years but ruchi is the best I've had. It's looks like a modest little takeaway but with fantastic food.

This is the best Indian takeaway in Belfast. The dishes are bursting with flavour and I live far away from it but I drive to it anyway as it is really worth the longer journey.Great takeaway.
