Ruchi in Richmond upon Thames

A full glass of lager was spilled into my bag from a neighbouring table. As a result I didn’t get to enjoy my meal as I was trying to dry out my bag. The restaurant deducted £4 from our bill which I didn’t feel recognised the damage done. It took several days to dry out my bag.

Really good food especially the onion bhajis, freshly cooked. Pleasant atmosphere with friendly service. We were guests at a private party and it was well organised and the food was plentiful.

The Restaurant food is good and we regularly eat here. Service is attentive by lovely staff. Why 3 stars? Whenever we have a takeaway the food is not up to the standard of the restaurant and dishes that we order seem to be very different and not the same standard. Is there a different takeaway chef? I am put off from ordering take away, although we will continue to go in to the restaurant.

Ruchi never disappoints, it’s our place for curry or choice. The owner is lovely, staff very attentive and the food is delicious.

Came here with a large party for a buffet style Sunday lunch. We were made very welcome in this roomy and airy restaurant. The different courses on offer were very tasty although none was on the very spicy side.

Genuinely love this place. Delivery or eat-in it's always just such high quality, I have tried so many different options and they never disappoint. Love it! Highly recommend anything from the Ruchi Specials or Connoisseur's Choice menu.

This is our favourite curry house for take away. Generous portions. Great flavour. Always delivered bang on time! What is there not to like?!

Ruchi special chicken madras hot is out of this world good like I NEED the recipe good!!! Chapattis were perfect chewy and cooked through! So impressed!! Love that this place is on my doorstep! 👍👍💪

We called in at Ruchi to pick up a pre-ordered takeaway meal in the depths of lockdown. Nothing elaborate - butter chicken, korma and a few of the usual trimmings - onion bhajis, nans etc. The food was delicious and good value. We have been disappointed by our 'usual' Bangladeshi restaurant of late. I think we may have found a worthy replacement. Now to work that menu!

So lucky to have this restaurant nearby -for varous reasons we had not visited for some time but returned last night and found it was still a fantastic experience. The waiters are all extremely frendly, smart and professional. The food is outstanding - I love lamb and every lamb dish I have ordered has always been perfect no gristle and never needed a knife as the meat is so well cooked. I would also recommend the chicken chat starter and cheese and coriander nan. I have always found there take aways to be equally good and our friends from worthing also agree this is the best Indian/Bangladesh food they have ever tasted.

Have been to this restaurant a number of times and it is always top drawer. I would go as far to say that this is one of the best Indian restaurants I have been to (and I have been to a lot). Staff are really friendly and helpful and the food never fails to satisfy. Fantastic choice and the naan breads are like clouds of loveliness. Looking forward to my next visit already.

From walking through the door you are greeted by friendly staff. Even on busy nights the staff are very attentive till the end. Excellent food!

My family, friends and I always visit Ruchi on a regular basis. Ruchi have catered for many of our family events and we have loved it every time!!! The food is delicious and the staff are fabulous. Always our family favourite.

We booked a table for 9 of us last month. the restaurant seemed busy enough and fairly popular. However, the food was nothing special and portions quite small.

Have been coming here for years and it is consistently the best Indian restaurant around! Both the food and staff are amazing. Very friendly atmosphere and everyone is always happy to see you! Excellent!!

I just ordered a take a way food , for myself few days ago and when I go home I see the food was unprepared, chicken tikka which one I take was very hard , I can't eat that, so I give to my cat. Completely west of money.

Have tried several around Hampton area and this is the best one we have found. Delivery can take a bit as they are busy, but if you plan that into your order time there are no issues. I recommend ordering a few different dishes and sharing to try a bit of everything. I would also make sure you keep a menu and mark your favorites because you will order from them again and you don't want to try and guess what you had, and liked, last time around.

That’s a bold statement but this really was a great meal, cant fault the quality and taste of any of the items Was very busy for Saturday night so had to wait a bit longer for our food but was worth the wait

Not great at all. No flavour in dishes. Tasted like microwaved frozen curries from Sainsbury. Small portions too. Hampton spice in the village is far better value for money. Disappointed!

Moved to the area and have tried Ruchi a number of times now. Good classic dishes and also more unusual dishes. Really enjoy the food and always busy! Probably should book for a Friday night.

Was being greedy and fancied a curry, chose this place based on the good reviews. I got haryali chicken and then special. They looked the part but lacked seasoning. The food arrived late too. Naan bread was too stodgy. Not sure if order again.

I had a takeaway and was really impressed with quality of food. The restaurant is smart and the staff helpful. I would be very surprised if you end up disappointed.

Been eating here for years. New management in place and a bit of a refresh and refurb ongoing. Meal was great, as always. Good wine list, reasonably priced food and drink. One of our go to places with friends.

We haven't used Ruchi before but found the food to be very good. We had a selection of mains and the portions were plentiful and the food was tasty. The meat (lamb, prawns and chicken) was of good quality and the man who took my order was polite and so was the delivery man. I'll definitely be using them again!

I have visited on a Tuesday night a few times over the years when my team are playing the local club. I,and friends, have previously enjoyed the special offer meal deal they do on this particular night.

having travelled. around the country going to several curry houses. I always look forward to frequenting this curry house. Ruchi,s Kitchen produces an excellent meal. and the staff are always ready help to cook meals that are not on the menu.

We have been visiting Ruchi for 6 years now, chatting tonight we realised we have never had a bad meal or a bad experience. The food is good, the staff are lovely, friendly and attentive. The bi-monthly Elvis nights that they host with Trevor Dodson are good value and so much fun, with staff and customers alike dancing by the end of the night!There are 6 Indian restaurants in a square mile in Hampton, and this is the one we love!

We were pleased with our first try of this restaurant. They have a chefs specials menu as well as standard menu dishes which gives one a chance to try new dishes. Very Good we will use again.

Everything was spot on. The five of us ordered different dishes and shared. The waiters were very attentive and the food was authentically delicious.I don't remember if there was music playing which is a good thing. There's nothing worse than intrusive music when friends meet to chat and enjoy good food.

There are plenty of indian restaurants around the Hampton area, and I must admit that we are seduced by the cheap prices at Riverside Indian Restaurant, and if we fancy something special, we go to Monaf's a bit further along Station Rd which is expensive but good.I thought that as we hadn't been in Ruch for a good few years, we would give it a try. Our meals were excellent with some lovely accompiaments to the poppadoms, well cooked side dishes and tasty main courses. My only criticism was that my Madras was a bit too hot. It was quite a suprise to get hot towels at the end of the meal, something I haven't been offered for a quite few years. Would certainly go again and recommend it to friends

The food quality is great but the service is awful. On a few occasions I have ordered items and never received them for the delivery driver to just give me the cash back.

Have been in to this restaurant a number of times and have also had take away deliveries as well. Every meal has been full of flavour and of excellent quality. Gradually working my way through the menu but their Jalfrezi is very good. Restaurant visits have always good with friendly staff and excellent service.

Eat here regularly- never fails to please. Staff friendly and helpful. Restaurant undergoing some cosmetic improvement at mo. Love that they do the veg sides as a large or small portion - makes it easier to share

I went this restaurant this week on Monday with some of my friends. We were welcomed by the friendly staff with their smiley face.The food was served in time and it was in good taste with great flavour and dishes were well decorated. Moreover the service was very attentive.The atmosphere was so good because i saw very few restaurants are busy on Monday night but they were one of them where restaurant was nearly full seating.We,all enjoyed a lot there and it made our evening amazing.Hopefully we will come to visit again soon.

I visited the resturant tonight and the staff are all very friendly and the food is always fantastic! I've never had a bad meal here and whenever I visit all of the staff make you feel so welcome. They really know how to look after you and cook amazing food! I couldn't recommend this place high enough to anyone that is thinking about visiting. Good food but a little slow on Delivery

I think the food was good but can't confirm as it arrived an hour and a half after I ordered. Excuse was a closed road but when I checked Google traffic there was no delays!

The food was very good, the portions for the main courses are quite large so not sure a starter is necessary.

Ordered from Ruchi for the first time the other nigh via Just eat. Delivery was spot on time and the food was piping hot. I ordered Lamb Tikka starter and then the mixed Tikka main (meat night for me).Whereas the food was ok, it was more than a touch salty, which whilst I could eat it - was slightly off putting.I guess that this will come down to taste as the restaurant does have a good reputation in the area, however, I personally feel that there are better Indian takeaways around - therefore will not be ordering again.

Delivered on time, food was hot as it should be considering I live very close. The naan bread was dry, lentil dish was very wet with very little toasted/roasted spices to finish the dish I asked for no bread with the prawn starter in the comments box. The dish was delivered wrapped in its bread.

Really enjoyed eating here. The food was flavoursome and the service good. We arrived around 21.30 and shared the House Special (highly recommend) and Lamb Palak, both were tasty. There was plenty of meat and the house special was hot without being over the top. The naan and rice were good too.

Generally good, but a couple of dishes let the meal down.
