Lovely lunch with my husband today we sampled some of the new menu coming to Roy’s. It was a privilege. Such a lovely friendly and comfortable restaurant.. Great choice of menu and being a lover of sea food and fish both of my choices were cooked beautifully. My husband tried the new pizza recipe called a Panis. Really lovely light and very tasty. He also enjoyed the beautiful monk fish cooked to perfection… We highly recommend Roy’s, and have visited several times at different times. Never been disappointed..

Don’t normally do lunches but decided to try Roys new lunchtime menu. Oh boy how many times can I say how good it was. Went for a pizza as a main as heard good things about the new dough and how light it was. They were not kidding, ate the whole thing with ease. Lovely lovely lovely 👌

Friends meeting up after not seeing each other for some time. Had a great experience at Roy’s! From the food, service and drinks, all high quality. Very busy for a Tuesday evening. Lovely evening on the whole. Will definitely be returning.

I visited last night with a group of friends. The service was friendly but we found it very odd that we told we could only have a table at 6.45 but the restaurant wasn’t busy at all. Our starters were nice but the carbonara was very disappointing, not authentic at all.

My wife and I live in the village and visited Roy’s recently. We hadn’t booked. It was a Friday late afternoon. It took a moment or two but we were ushered to a lovely table that had a great view of the panoramic kitchen vision. The staff were extremely helpful. The food was absolutely delicious. The bill was very good value. We will definitely be back and I suspect that we will become regular visitors. 10/10

Just why this small and friendly restaurant isn’t packed out every night is a mystery!!! Spread the word - it is fantastic!!! We went with friends a week ago to this Mauritian fusion restaurant for the first time and it was like discovering a treasure hidden in plain sight. We were greeted warmly by a very friendly waitress and had our pick of tables as there were only two other tables taken. My wife and I shared a starter of Black Tiger Prawn Fusion which was absolutely fantastic. We then both had a Daube de Poulet for our mains. I cannot begin to describe just how good this was - the chicken was moist, tender and yet still firm and the sauce was amazing. We option to vary the heat level of the spices was good as well. With a couple of glasses of wine the bill came to less than £30/head - an absolute bargain for this quality of food. The menu offers a suitably wide selection that should appeal to all tastes whilst enabling everything to be freshly cooked to order. We looked at other dishes coming out of the kitchen and they all looked very appetising indeed. All I can say is that you should go to this restaurant - it will be something worth while I promise you. And then tell all your friends about it and make sure they go too - they will thank you!!!

The food is good. Don't bother with thin pizza - thick base is so much better, there's simply no comparison. The only quibble is that when we ordered a half/half pizza, with a different topping on each side, we were charged extra. The management weren't interested at all, attempting to justify this by saying that a full pizza's worth of topping was put on each side - but we didn't ask for that. At least a little more transparency would be welcome.

Just had a lovely meal at the Hendon pub. Staff were quick and very friendly. The food and drinks are very good for the price. Lovely pub and great atmosphere.
