Roys coffee shop / Cafe Roy's in Stockton-on-Tees

I stayed in parkim ayaz hotel for 10 days. Really nice hotel lovely grounds, staff all very friendly, nice rooms. Met a lovely man called Selami tattoo man in the hotel 4 of us got really good tattoos at an excellent price thanks Selami highly recommend,

Ordered Full English Breakfast (£6) with a Latte (£2.50) (without beans) Option to have mushrooms / black pudding and type of tomatoes. Good Ingredients, friendly staff and good atmosphere. Great place, will be coming back.

After hearing so many good reports about this place ! I finally managed to visit and wow what a gem of a place , first class service , lovely home cooked meals , lots of choice , something for everyone whether it’s a light snack or something more substantial! We will definitely be returning 10/10 👍

Today (14/09/19), Hubby & myself decided to try Roy's for breakfast before starting work. We arrived just after 9am. I opted for a large breakfast priced at £4.50 whilst the hubby chose 2 sausages, 2 bacon, 2 eggs & toast at £4.50. Both were delicious, hot & tasty. Good quality sausage & bacon. Along with a decaff tea & coffee, total bill was £12.60. Lovely little cafe,nicely set out with enough tables/chairs. We will definitely be going back. 10/10

Our family have enjoyed breakfast at Cafe Roy’s for almost as long as it has been in existence (30+ years), and we are never disappointed. It started as a venue to meet work colleagues or friends, and then a place we would take our children when we were in town. Our eldest daughter now lives in Nottingham and when she is home for a visit she always asks if we can have breakfast at Roy’s. On this visit we all enjoyed “the full Monty” breakfast, and the standard, as expected was excellent. There is nothing like having a “full English” with family or friends, cooked to perfection and served in comfortable surroundings; the news with subtitles plays on tv in the background, you can watch or not and you don’t have to wash-up! Great value for money and great service always!

Order a latte and Cornbeef pie with chips and peas and gravy the was lovely piping hot, fresh, tasted very very nice .... serving were massive way to much for me .... Please please pop in and try the food ...

We’ve been going to Roys every time we go to Middlesbrough. The food is always well prepared and tasty. We enjoy the omelettes or bacon buns. Lots of filling in both options. The cafe hasn’t changed in years, always clean and tidy. Good calm atmosphere.

Probably the best full english/cooked breakfast food there is in the town. It's been around for years and it's always been my go-to for a breakfast in the town when I visit home.

Food luke warm and not a jumbo breakfast either one egg one black pudding and one hash brown is not a jumbo breakfast.go to northern grill and get a real fresh jumbo breakfast.they don't charge extra to swap a sausage for a hash brown.food was pre prepared and the black puddings were older than me.I found a hair in mine and as I have a clean shaven head it was not mine.never complained no point just got out of there.when Roy was cooking years ago it was the best sadly not any more.

No se donde está la casa para una sane como patata chaqueta pero Roy no muy bueno! Yo tenía uno con langostinos, 4 libras. El martes 00, y fue precioso, gambitas, pero Marie Rose fue realmente agradable. Ayer tuve uno con atún, 3 libras. 50, de nuevo es realmente preciosa, y el atún era perfecto! Gracias de nuevo por otro encantador almuerzo.Probar la carne en conserva y tarta! Es para morirse!

Estado aquí unas cuantas veces y siempre tenía los desayunos que dieron en el clavo. Ayer pedí una chaqueta de atún mayonesa de patata con queso. La patata era enorme, que era bueno. Pero la cantidad de llenado fue muy decepcionante. Sin duda carecía de mayo, con el atún, de hecho creo que no había ninguna en absoluto. No sé cuánto cuesta llenar un adicional, pero la cantidad de queso QUE ME DIERON también era mínimo. Posiblemente podría haber resuelto un registro gratuito.En una nota positiva, la col era agradable y cremosa que quitaron la sequedad.

Nos metimos en Roy para un desayuno el sábado por la mañana. taza de café frothy milk with coffee agradable y caliente y un desayuno recién hecho. Bueno, el desayuno normal para mí y un mega para mi marido. En el clavo. Recomendaría Roy's a cualquiera que esté buscando un buen desayuno a un precio razonable. Sin duda una buena relación calidad-precio.

Roy's serves good simple food in large portions for a fair price. The staff are very friendly and the cafe is normally pretty full of customers. Excellent atmosphere.

Nos apetecía algo un poco diferente para trabajar el almuerzo, rang Roy's y el hombre que hablaba era muy servicial y amable,, opté por la ternera en salmuera pastel, que nos recomendó y dijo que era un generoso trozo. Él no estaba mal, vorazmente pedí con patatas fritas y frijoles. Fue increíble! No hace falta decir que no necesitas nada para el té esa noche. No estaba mal resultó tampoco. £4,50 /4,80 magnífico! 100% seguro. de Yum Yum

Love Roys! Food is lush. We eat here every Wednesday. Home cooked, lovely atmosphere and very clean. Try the Quiche! Oh my, you'll not taste Quiche like it anywhere else!

Muy cerca de la universidad de Teesside este café está dirigido por un personal amable comida a la orden. Hemos probado las patatas que vienen con una pequeña ensalada y col. Muy sabroso. También huevos revueltos y sándwiches tostados. No la entrega más rápida pero como ya he dicho cada comida recién preparada, sin lugar para única,. Muy razonable. Fácil tener una pequeña comida y bebida por menos de £5. Muy buena comida sabrosa.

I have been a regular at Roy's for many years now. For a small cafe, it has a great atmosphere and offers good, fresh home cooked food at great value. Roy's frothy coffee is just the best. Roy and his team offer great, honest customer service and always make customers feel welcome. I have never experienced either poor service or a poor quality meal. Yes I have had to wait on occasion when the cafe is busy, but one of Roy's team has always kept me posted on how long I might expect to wait along with an apology. Such is life when you're waiting for freshly cooked food and what I would expect. I would recommend Roy's cafe to anyone looking for a snack, a decent breakfast or a larger meal. His corned beef pie is to die for and his omlettes are superb. If you haven't been, it is definitely worth a trip. 5 stars from me on this cafe!

I was struggling to find somewhere to take lunch on my first ever visit to Middlesbrough, there was nothing that appealed in town, so I wandered off and found this this place tucked down a little side street. I was served by Roy, ordered a jacket potato and a frothy coffee, both were lovely. I'll come again.

This cafe is probably one of the very best around. Roy actually cares! Not like many other places. The food is very good, I'd personally recommend the Olympic Breakfast. It's full of everything and tastes great. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and it's always a friendly relaxed atmosphere. Can stay in here all day long, I usually do at least 3 times a week. Top marks. Keep it up...

Me and my family go here every Saturday morning for our breakfasts, it's always delicious (the Full Monty Breakfast is a must have!) Roy and his staff are always very friendly and always make the full family feel welcome and comfortable, which is lovely for when we bring the kids also. There's no doubt about it that Roy's is a great cafe!

I was recommended this café by a friend and was not left disappointed. I opted for the Olympic breakfast and it was quality food and cooked to perfection. Was especially impressed with the mushrooms good size and plenty of them. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and there was no pressure to order quickly. Very clean café with good facilities to relax aswell as eat I will be using it on a regular basis from now on.

The staff are always pleasant and welcoming; the food is of good quality, always well cooked and presented and very reasonably priced. My partner is addicted to the home-made quiche, the best she has ever tasted! Service is always quick, even on busy lunchtimes. The cafe is always spotlessly clean and has a homely atmosphere. Well worth a visit.

Been here on a few occasions over the years while visiting friends Pete and Louise in Boro' The All day Breakfast is superb...I opted for the Olympic size for £4.90, crispy bacon, sausages, beans, egg, hash brown, toms, mushroom, black pudding, 2 toast......tasted great, good quality produce.Friendly staff and a nice environment, Excellent value for money!!Thanks Roy and staff !!Pete F (Miz Champion, campaigns 2 and 11)

Being very close to the university campus myself and 3 friends came here for our dinner break between lectures. We each ordered a coffee and a sandwich, we were instantly served our coffee and told the sandwiches would be bought over to our table.After waiting 35 minutes and seeing people who arrived after us getting their food we each left £1.50 on the table in payment for the drinks and left, the cafe was not even busy so there was no excuse for this.poor communication and rather expensive for what it is, i- for one- will not be returning here.

Ben the Roy's a couple of time, as workmates don't mind it, but it's consistently poor. Too dear for what it is, burger and chips is tasteless and the sandwiches off-putting.

Just an old style caff in many ways, but table service and great food, plus good value - ideal for your lunch break.

Great little café I've been going there for over 15 years, great menu and food was served very quick as allways and tasty the Pepsi float my favourite ain't been in for months I think I will pop in today for cream and cola fix(if they still do them) five stars from me :)

Nice little place seems popular enough, Breakfast was nice and the coffee was fine, a little too cramped when it gets busy, but the people there are happy enough. I wouldnt say its 5 star but for small cafe it does ok.

A lovely little cafe very clean and very hip the breakfasts are great and hard to beat. Super coffee and lovely smells flowing from the kitchen, good value good servic what more do you need.

I often pop in here for a breakfast or a snack and i'm always pleased with the standard of food on my visits. Once i found out it was on tripadvisor i thought i would give it a thumps up. Clean and tidy place that sells traditional home made food at good prices. Nothing more i can say really. Give it a try.

One of the friendliest and best little coffee shops I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. The staff were so pleasant and helpful, straight away we felt comfortable and at home. The food was delicious and all freshly home cooked. I had a wonderful huge tuna jacket potato with a full, fresh salad. My wife had the full English which looked fantastic which she thoroughly enjoyed. The sausages and bacon were all top quality. My daughter had the cheesy chips, which we all tucked into and were to die for!A fantastic little Cafe tucked away off Linthorpe Road in Middlesbrough. What a find! We shall definitely be back soon...

Unless you knew it was there, you may pass it without even knowing but its a warm and welcoming cafe. The hospitality and attention from the table staff is superb whilst the food is very reasonable priced ad is home made !!! Close to Middlesbrough University with regular customers who return time after time, I visit whenever i am shopping in the town centre which is close by. A real hidden gem and well worth a visit.
