Royal Pub in North Lincolnshire

I always have a wonderful time in this pub. The staff are very friendly and attentive and make you feel like part of the family. Great service from Macey and Chloe. The food is lovely and there's never too much of a wait. Can't wait to come back.

I stayed for 1 night on a business trip, the rooms were adequate and clean but a little outdated. The breakfast was nice and served fast and hot with a fair amount of choice. The staff are where this place shines though.The two I saw were Zane and Jenny, they was very polite and friendly which makes a big difference in my opinion. They went above and beyond for me to make sure I had everything I needed. I would recommend especially considering how close it is to the towns center.

The Royal continues to be a home from home when I’m down in Scunthorpe to see the mighty Iron. The staff are a great bunch and can’t do enough for customers and guests alike. Zane and his able assistant Jenny run a great establishment and always make me feel very welcome.

Excellent food would definitely recommend

Nice pub underrated somewhat, the food is OK but could be so much better. If this establishment had a bit of care and attention given to it, it would be so much better and would be a worthy contender to the surrounding familiar eateries in scunthorpe. Its interior is nice, but the whole building looks outdated and undervalued. It lacks character and needs some repainting and repairing in places.

The first impression of the pub was that it needed a complete refurb. The seating was very dirty, along with the walls and ceilings, which are full of huge black cobwebs. As soon as I walked in with my do in a stroller, I was told by a customer that no dogs allowed. Although I had previously checked, as it happens, it is dog friendly. The staff, unlike the regular customer, was very friendly and professional. The food was OK, I had Katsu chicken, very nice, my husband had Hunters chicken, the chip portion size was quite sparse, around 8 chips?? Overall opinion, OK and also appreciated it being dog friendly.

Disgusted following a visit last week. Needed to use the baby changing facilities which are with the disabled toilets which you have to get a key for and was appalled. As you open the door the smell of damp is overwhelming and the walls are covered in damp. The toilet hadn't been cleaned and had obviously been sat unflushed for some time. The sink was full of flies. When I mentioned it to the staff, they said, "oh yeah, we will have to make sure it's cleaned before tonight ". Really poor attitude, should have been done there and then. Also, there have been no table numbers for last 3 visits so cannot use the app

We stopped in for an easy dinner. It was Wednesday, so build your own burger. An absolute bargain and really well cooked and presented. Very tasty and filling with a cheeky dessert to follow. The food was topped only by the service. Zane and Chloe made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. And Jo in the kitchen did a great job. Highly recommend!

Brilliant service and excellent food. Fabulous value too. The build your own burger is fantastic. The pub itself is a little tired, needs a luck of paint but the service and value more than make up for this.

Great pub and location . Definitely recommend for the football with loads off tvs . Great food and service. Zane always goes out his way to make sure his customers are looked after.

Rooms very dated punch mark in my wardrobe silicone around bath completely black with fungus. The bar area is nice and staff are very nice but the hotel lets it all down needs about 2 million spent on it

Always come in here to watch football or some nice food Chloe always is so helpful and always smiling great barmaid :)

Chloe is a star always willing to book our table for football even taking the time to see if we need a table.for the next game.had food tonight it was very good team behind the bar did a top job well done the Royal hotel ps fixed my glasses at half time

Wonderful friendly staff. Good food at reasonable prices. Very handy for pre show meals when visiting Baths Hall. As we have smaller appetites we often choose from the seniors menu...I hate to admit it but I am now classed as a senior! The choice is a bit limited but there are some good meals within that choice. Always a pleasure to pop for lunch or even just a drink and a game. Show live sports too for those who enjoy it but have not been when a football match has been on.

Stayed here while away for work food terrible rooms dark and grubby wasn’t refreshed once in the week I was staying also walls are like paper so if you’re coming for a good night sleep this isn’t the place and the little old woman who runs it is very rude and abrupt

A lovely welcoming hotel with very helpful and friendly staff, especially Jenny as she really does go out of her way to help you out with anything she can The manager Zane is also a genuine guy who has a great sense of humour and would also do anything to help. Top place, top staff ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Took 20 mins to get checked in. Food is OK, nothing to write home about

Shocking attitude from some woman who feels very important about bringing our dog to a hotel when it clearly states it is pet friendly (screenshot attached) scaring us with £400 room cleans. My dog is cleaner than your dirty attitude.

Came here for the 1st time and the customer service was brilliant and the food was great too. The manager, Zain was very accommodating, lovely bloke.
