Messingham Tandoori in North Lincolnshire

We had the Pan Asian dishes-what a terrible choice! There were raw uncooked red chillies in the stir fry (it was desperately hot and NOT medium as specified on the menu), the prawn bamigoreng was a non- descript dish that (we felt) was made from a pot noodle base. Maybe the fact they’re called Messingham tandoori gives a clue to the name and feel we should have ordered tandoori dishes. They need to take their ‘pan Asian’ dishes off the menu!

Don’t bother, ordered online at 6:30 1hr delivery time no problem. Rang at 7:45 to be told will be 20 mins 8:30 still no food!! Cancelled on foodhub in the end!

What a disappointment. My family and i have used Messingham Tandori many times .Last night i placed an order via the website but it did not allow me to pay so i rang up and placed my order ; as a result i lost the online discount. When the food arrived the king prawn butterfly was 90% batter with small pieces of prawn inside .The onion bhajis were burnt . The curry was very tasty but there was hardly any meat .the rice and nan bread were very good . Overall not a good meal at all :--(

This is unfortunate. The flavours are there,but dishes are not as described. The devil mix says its hot, there wasn't even a hint of heat. And it says prawns it was definitely shrimp or it's smaller cousin. Even shrimp are bigger. The lamb gobi says it's Savoy cabbage there was none but a lot of cauliflower. The order had a free salad and naan which is nice. This was a takeaway, and delivery was before expected time. If they explained there dishes better or let you know something isn't available it would be better.

Can only rate the service. Ordered by telephone following a leaflet through the door. Drove out only to be then told it was cash only. If only I had been told that at the time of ordering. Also not stated on the leaflet. Had to leave the order as ATM not working. Let customers know please before they waste time and fuel.

Just back from holiday and really wanting a take away. When home found a menu through the door for this place. Ordered over phone for collection. Loved it. Staff were great, food was fabulous and great portion size. We will definitely be back. Excellent value for money.

Filthy place feet sticking to floor internal skirting filthy . Hardly any meat in the sauce. Heavy nan bread sorry but absolutely disgusting

Waste of money! ordered the food at 17:10 got an email at 18:00 saying the food had left the restaurant. the food arrived at 18:40-18:45 ish. everything was very cold. most of it went in the bin. very disappointed.

Delicious authentic Bengali food! Really good flavour and clearly use expensive spices as you can taste the difference Great service and real nice staff! But far for delivery but I’d happily wait an extra 10/15 mins for the quality 5 star

Dansak very bland, had this weird taste to it. Usually get this curry from other shops and this one was so different and tasteless.. strange if I'm honest and maybe a korma would have been better. Peshwari naan very very good tho one of the best I've tried. Overall decent but definitely stay clear of the dansak lol

I think I may have been spoiled for Indian takeaways having lived in london for some time where there is so much competition they either are good or they die. So thought that place must be good as it's right next door to another indian (which I ordered from two weeks previously). Why was it so bad? Everything was just so sweet. The dhansak wasn't hot or sour just sweet like syrup. Everything seemed to have the texture of tinned soup which was weird and after her prawn dhansak my mother was on the toilet for two days (possibly unrelated??). My 6yo loved it, which is sort of the problem what's good for his palate isnt really good for mine. I guess it's indian food for the Macdonald's generation. I wont be returning! I should say though that since I ordered about £50 worth of food they gave me two free chicken samosas which were excellent!

Another top quality takeaway tonight. Yes prices have gone up, but really enjoyed the meal.

First time we have ordered from Messingham Tandoori and the food was delicious, everything from the starter to mains was so tasty and can recommend for quality Indian food at a very good priced.

We've used this before and been happy with it, but this time we had a mistake in our order, 4 of the dishes were in the same sauce (!) and I got my credit card scammed. Disappointing.

Just had the best curry from a delivery Real spices left in the dish and all were fresh Best ever

We've eaten here twice and it's brilliant, it's not even the one closest to us but we will keep coming back. I had chicken shashlik with onion bhaji and chapati! All very good!

Consistently delicious food. Their banquet meals are great value. Their Naga Chicken is a perfect combination of heat and flavour. Highly recommended

First time we’ve had takeaway from here as recently moved to Messingham - great menu choice, lovely food, good portion sizes. Friendly and polite staff. Will definitely be using this takeaway again.

The worst Indian takeaway we’ve had in a long time. Tardkha Daahl was just yellow liquid with hardly any lentils (response when we complained was, That’s how we do it here). The main meal of chicken madras was swimming in water and the meat was tough, as though it had been previously frozen. They forgot to put an ordered onion bhaji in the bag. The only taste was chilli, but no spicing as you’d expect from a restaurant with an understanding of the basics of Indian cuisine. The customer service was terrible. An absolute waste of £30. Worse than a supermarket ready meal. Maybe that’s what it was. I would never go back there and recommend that you go elsewhere.

Treated ourselves to a meal tonight and couldn’t fault it. Delivery was on the dot, polite and pleasant driver, meal was piping hot and absolutely spot on.The onion salad was so nice wish there was more! Thankyou so much for a wonderful meal

Way better than anything in Gainsborough. I now drive 20 minutes out to collect. Very nice. Best in the area by a long way. Just wish they delivered!!

We placed an order on JustEat with this restaurant, were told that the order would be ready by 7.15pm - two hours later, still no food! The order was originally placed just after 6pm. Absolutely appalling. My partner works shifts, has to be up at 5am, thought we had plenty of time. Evening ruined.

Used to be the best, now appears beaten in to submission with justeat fees, cutting corners and and selling stuff cheaper than other places. Sadly now means you get the equivalent of a carton of soupy sauce with 5 or 6 tiny chunks of meat dropped in it. It’s no longer quality and value. So, put your prices up, for example £25 for meal for two deal, put loads of meat in the food, back to full size cartons of rice, menu and your phone number in every bag collected to encourage people to buy directly from u. 10% discount for phoning direct to train customers into cutting out justeat. There’s no reason why it can’t be brill again, just hope it happens before u shut down.

Used this take away for fine time and the food is excellent and normally good value, collected my food today to find out been over charged and the order was wrong, rang up to let them no and was totally fobbed off, shame really as the food is decent

Excellent varied menu, much more than your average takeaway food.

Found Messingham via just eat whilst staying at Sunflower Caravan park. The food arrived quickly and we was not disappointed it was delicious and plentiful! The chunky chips are well worth the £2.50! Highly recommend 👍🏻

Try the £20 banquet.... it's awesome and a great variety of food to choose from. Friendly staff and all round fab service, would recommend Messingham Tandoori to everyone... never had a bad meal from there. 5 stars all the way. Xx

Don't normally leave reviews but I've had two deliveries from this place and it's amazing. Best curries I've had. Don't bother if you're used to curry from a tin
