Royal Papworth Restaurant in Cambridge

30/6/24 Staff members refused to serve the food in normal plates because the dishwasher was broken 😡.They can still wash by hand and serve the food in the plate.

Always fresh food, be it a hot meal or fruit. It's worth walking out of your way to eat here if you're in Addenbrookes or the Rosie and have some spare time to do so. There's plenty of seating, both inside and outside by the lake. Staff are friendly and helpful, and counters are kept clean and well stocked. A truly excellent hospital restaurant

My husband was in Papworth for 6 weeks and We enjoyed visiting the restaurant most days.

I went in between 5 and 6 it was lovely. It is sometimes hard for me as I'm gluten free but I always found something to eat. Staff were friendly. If you go at lunchtime (12 - 1 ish) it can be busy.

My first time at Papworth Hospital. My first impression was very clear and premium. The staff and nurses were very helpful and knowlehable. Car park was very busy, had a discount as I was a patient so was good for me.

As always excellent selection of food and service at the food counter. However as always the service at the actual till on paying is not either efficient or friendly. What starts out as a nice hot meal very often ends up as Luke warm due to the absolutely lack lustre service when trying to pay for it before finding a table and eating. Often there’s only one of the two tills manned whilst some staff behind the servery are just chatting paying no attention whatsoever to the customers waiting to pay for their food and drinks. They have to be called by the cashier to help and then reluctantly stroll over to sign on at the unmanned till . Too late though again ! Another cold meal that was once hot. Will it improve before our next visit ?

We use this regularly and food is basic and good value. One thing to note - credit card statements show the vendor as OCS GROUP UK LTD - not very helpful when trying to decipher who they are. Could they have ‘Papworth’ in the name?

Great restaurant at a busy hospital

Person at billing counter at center of the restaurant service is not nice when we visit hospital smile gives more energy cures health issues and she is so serious and just made a billing not seeing the customer paying the money and just observing screen for payment..

A nice restaurant in an NHS hospital. Good place to wait while someone is up on the wards.

Such great staff nothing too much trouble, caring considerate and great relaxing atmosphere.

Seems to be some kind of parking Maffia with the limited front of hospital parking bays. The last couple of times I visited a guy was holding available blue badge bays for people, never saw money change hands, but management need to keep a watch.

Great restaurant in Papworth Hospital for food or drinks. I just had a coffee. The area is bright and sunny.

Nice breakfast and reasonably priced

Service can be quite slow when busy at peak times. Food is fairly good for a hospital. Prices are ok.

Food was excellent, hot, fresh, and really tasty. Fairly priced. Definitely recommend going if you are in the hospital

Restaurant is good for a coffee stop when the machines are working after appointments food not so good jacket potato could have been cooked abit more and very dry cheese toastie was over cooked but a nice airy clean place to relax and sit in. Papworth is an excellent hospital but the parking fees are extreme!

A lot of hospitals should look to Papworth Hospital for inspiration and improvement. I can't recommend them enough.

Lovely food - I recommend the halloumi and vegetables with chips. Apricot muffin also delicious. Lovely, friendly staff. A nice lake outside with tables too.
