Just come back from a 3 night stay here bed & breakfast was beautiful also had meals there beautiful food had a lovely stay friendly people will definitely stay here again thank you royal oak had a lovely time here x

Our family had a meal hear this evening and it was the best meal we’ve had in a very long time. A very full plate with great quality ingredients and cooked perfectly. Very competitively priced too. My only complaint is that I’m on holiday and I’ve got to go home in the morning so I won’t be able to eat here again!

Lovely pub full of character. Staff are so helpful and friendly. Location is perfect as it’s just off the main street and a few minutes to the lake . We stayed in one of the rooms for one night. The facilities were excellent and it was super clean. The breakfast that was included in the room rate was exceptional. If that’s the standard then I can see why the reviews are so good for all their food. We plan to come back soon and will most definitely stay again.

Stayed here for 2 nights, 2 couples on 2 motorbikes. The hosts couldn’t have been more helpful with our parking and room requests. Comfortable large rooms and an excellent location for exploring Bowness and the lakes. The staff were helpful and friendly and the breakfast was great. We will definitely be coming back here.

I tend to use a Royal Oak Inn wherever I go as they never seem to disappoint. However, I had to cancel a 1 night stay here due to some extreme personal issues a couple of days prior to the stay. The stay was cancelled. Almost 2 weeks after the date I was meant to stay, the booking cost was deducted from my bank. I can understand this to a degree as this is there policy and I did cancel. but 2 weeks later from the date? This really left me in a hole financially as it was definitely not expected and £125 is a lot these days for a single parent. I emailed them 3-4 times (to absolutely no response) to see if we could discuss the matter and if they could maybe make an exception for a refund or partial refund due to my circumstances being out of my control and having the funds took, weeks later, after the reason i cancelled in the first place, was a double whammy. I then had to call and spoke to a very blunt lady who pied me off until the 'owner was back to work'. I then got in touch with Booking.com to sort it this way and they came back to me saying that The hotel doesn't offer refunds and basically it is what it is. Just the lack of communication and empathy from them regarding this has got me vexed. To be this rude and stingey over £125 for a room that never got used and what was in the sale anyway when I purchased it is a joke. This is the last time i will ever attempt to use a Royal Oak Inn.

We had our 3 night stay here, it was wonderful. Lovely room, clean and well presented. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast and evening meals were amazing. Excellent location for the centre of town. A hidden gem. We are very happy with our stay and will be returning again. Thank you to everyone.

Fantastic afternoon in the sun, followed by Fantastic beers. Excellent selection of real ales and great food really rounded out a fantastic weekend.

This is fourth year running we have come to visit this pub while staying at nearby caravan park. Husband found it for the John Smiths beer but the hidden gem is the food . Proper home cooked, good choice of menu . Steak&Ale pie Fish&Chips Lasagne, Burger to name a few. It’s B&B and in the centre of Bowness.

Very busy and understaffed as it was easter sunday but all the staff were so friendly and helpful and the Sunday roast was delicious. Would highly refommend. A proper pub with a welcoming workforce and well brewed beer and a great selection it gins. Thankyou.

Very basic pub, nothing special at all. We left our drinks. We’re not nice. Wouldn’t return on next visit to Bowness-on-Windermere.

Our first visit to Bowness. Really glad we found this dog friendly pub! Very warm welcome and fantastic food. Portion sizes are amazing (starters and mains). We had the liver pate starter, gammon and meat & potato 'slab' pie. Not enough room for desert! Highly recommended - perfect end to the day 👍 Thank you all.

Went yesterday with my wife, the most friendly helpful man working the bar and serving the food, nothing was to Much trouble. The food was terrific, home cooked and plentiful. We had the steak pie and hot beef sandwich 🥪 👍 well done in delivering great service

What Amazing Food they serve I had Fish Chips and Peas the portions where so generous I could not eat a pudding. Excellent staff Very clean and also a gem of a place and very good prices .They have a open Fire and makes the property cozy on cold nights Dogs are welcome as well. Stayed here for the weekend nice comfy room.bed was amazing and very comfy, very clean. The bathroom was like a fridge I put my bottle of water in there to stay cold , the window had a massive gap which didn't shut properly and it sounded like people were in the bathroom with you when they were talking at the front door off the pub.i wasn't keen on the food we ate in the pub on the first evening and wasn't keen the chips were really greasy but tasted like oionin rings and the curry didn't have a lot of flavour. The breakfast wasn't great either and i didn't eat hardly any off that either so we didnt bother the next day and went for breakfast somwhwre else but the room and pub were nice with great location staff were friendly would stay again but when it's abit warmer as room is cold but you do get a extra heater tho i also wouldnt eat there again

On the crazy snowy weekend in December the open fire was a warm welcome. Service was good and the menu had plenty of choice. I had the steak pie which was good but not great. This was our second visit here and I'm sure we'll return.

Holidaying in Bowness on Windermere couldn't have gone better. The Royal Oak inn is the place to stay at. It's conveniently located in the heart of Bowness just off the main street so very quite. The rooms are welcoming and very clean and the bed super comfy guaranteeing a good night's sleep. Food is great and there's a wide selection of drinks and spirits too. Hearty breakfast offered with the option of additional items at no charge. The staff are all lovely - helpful, courteous and friendly. Will definitely be back if ever in the Cumbria area. A home away from home place ❤️

We had a lovely lunch at the Royal Oak. Food was great and the service was brilliant. Going in with a dog and a baby we received a very warm welcome and we all really enjoyed our lunch. Would recommend the hallomi sticks, they are amazing.

We came here one evening for dinner and really enjoyed it. The food was great and there was a nice choice of beer and lager. The service was excellent too. (I seem to remember coming here earlier in the year and you were shown to a table upon entering and the drinks were table service. Thankfully that has gone now!)

We called on spec ; dinner time 7pm - 4 adults 2 children . Saturday afternoon the weather had been amazing. Welcomed very friendly staff ; table inside or out. Food was delicious ; homemade lasagne with garlic bread … Burger; Cumberland Sausage and three...

Stayed overnight, room was clean, bed comfortable. Had lunch and dinner, food was tasty, proper pub food, very reasonably priced. Staff were amazing, friendly and helpful. Short walk to the Lake which was beautiful. Would definitely recommend and hope to return.

Lovely friendly welcome upon arrival. Rooms were spotless, bed was so comfortable had a great nights sleep. The bedding smelled lovely, towels too which were fluffy and soft. Breakfast and lunch were excellent with quality produce cooked fresh to order. Staff were so friendly and...

Unfortunately we were not allowed to eat or drink here so unable to rate it. As a group of 10 , over 60s we took two tables moved one chair to make two tables of five, we were told not to move the chair as it had to remain a 4 seater and a six seater so they couldn't serve us! 10 is 10 however you sit, 6/4 or 5/5. Luckily, ever other hospitality venue in Bowness and windermere did not bat an eyelid

We have just visited the Royal Oak for an afternoon drink but stayed for lunch. Young couple serving were so friendly, enthusiastic and hard working. 10 out of 10 on everything.

We drank here both in the afternoon and evening over 3 nights on our recent visit to Bowness.It’s always been one of my favourite pubs in Bowness. We were lucky enough to be allocated a table on every visit, even though we had a very short wait on Saturday evening. They are happy for you just to stay for drinks, or to eat.Because we became “regulars”, we were greeted extremely warmly by the lovely waitress from Spain. All table service here and very attentive staff which is very nice. It was consistently the warmest of the pubs we visited. We didn’t eat here this time, but there were many satisfied diners. Food looked to be good value for money.Worth seeking out, doggy friendly. We will be back on our next visit.

We went on a really busy evening, however this didn’t effect the service, the food was really lovely, the pate starter was excellent! The staff were really helpful throughout.

Descending the nearby fell midweek with muddy boots, we called in on spur of the moment around 1pm.Knowing the range of quality you get in the Lakes, especially with current staff-shortages, we weren't sure whether we'd done the right thing. But terrific service from the friendly waitress and scampi & chips done to perfection left us thinking that we should call here again. Perhaps we were lucky it was relatively quiet.

Upon entering the pub, when asked how many the table was for the waitress was instantly put off when we mentioned 2 high chairs. The fact of trying to find us a table for 6 people and two high chairs seem to inconvenience her. Without thinking or hesitation she said they had no room all night. (Even though they don’t take bookings). The manner was rude and unhelpful. Obviously just didn’t want to have to deal with a family with two young children.We will not be going back and I’d advise any family with child to avoid at all costs. Rude staff.

Walked in here earlier this evening to ask for a table (it was around 4.30). We purposely arrived early so it wasn’t peak time. There were plenty of staff around and it wasn’t busy at all. As soon as we asked for two high chairs as part of our table it suddenly appeared there was no room. Shocking. There was no apology, or offer of moving any tables together, or even saying, come back in half hour etc. It was just a, “no we don’t have room for you.”. It’s my dads 60th today and it was supposed to be an enjoyable family meal out. Understand that you don’t do table bookings but at least try and accommodate the customers that do come through your door!

Stayed for two nights, the room was clean and workable, the staff were FABULOUS, always smiling and friendly, breakfast was faultless, filling and great quality and service. Will be back thank you all.

The two of us and the dog visited on a Thursday evening. Great traditional pub food.and friendly staff. The fire was lovely and warming, perfect for a November evening.

The last time we came here was 10 years ago and I gave 5 stars then - so obviously we wanted to visit again. This time we had a 4 and 2 year old with us. The atmosphere was very welcoming and the food was good pub food. My husband never usually likes mushrooms but really enjoyed a cup of their homemade mushroom soup with cheese on toast. Also, the staff were great and Hannah in particular was lovely with the kids. She was so friendly and called them by their names whenever she came back. The kids loved chatting to her and also appreciated the colouring book and crayons she provided. Weve not been to a bad place in Bowness but no where else had this level of service!

Spot on from walking in the door to leaving was nice surprise to get upgraded also , lovely nice and clean and cosy food was nice also staff were excellent all smiles and poliet would be back next year in summer all being well 👌😉

As per instructions at entrance we waited to be seated & were asked if we were here for food or drinks to which we replied both. We ordered drinks & finally received them after 20 minutes, at no time was a food menu offered to us. The table next to us had asked for food menus just after our arrival but still had not had an order taken 30 minutes later. We, by this point had decided just to have our drinks & leave as we did not witness any customer receive food in this time period, in fact the only customer receiving any kind of service during our visit was a rather attractive boxer dog owned by a gentleman sat in the window. Needless to say we shall not be back!

Been here several times over a number of years and never been disappointed with the quality of the food. Staff are extremely friendly and attentive and there is a good selection on the menu. Quite a few different cask ales on draught too for the real-ale drinkers!

This is one of the friendiest places we have ever stayed. The food & drinks were reasonably priced with good choices, which is why it was very busy each night we stayed. The staff worked hard and were kind enough to help my husband with his Spanish lessons. Although basic the rooms were comfortable and the shower adequate, obviously due to Covid, staff did not enter the room whilst we stayed, which we prefer. On vacating the rooms, they were fully sanitised. An added advantage for some is that the bar is dog friendly.Perhaps the only two negatives that need mentioning are, lack of easy parking and music from the bar could be heard in the bedroom ( not an issue for us, though).

We had drinks here for the two nights on our trip to Bowness. We didn’t try the food but the atmosphere of the pub is so lovely and the staff are brilliant, super friendly! We did try the Flying Pig for a Sunday roast which was absolutely horrendous (do not waste your money there) so would definitely be trying here for food the next time!

This place is amazing!!! Some of the best 'pub grub' we have ever had, we can't recommend enough! We had a dog with us which wasn't a problem and we were able to sit in a certain area. The feel of the pub was lovely, really cosy and welcoming and I think that's one of the best bits about pubs. Staff couldn't have been more friendly and couldn't do enough to help us. The food was absolutely amazing. We have never had better chips in a pub ever I don't think, they were lovely! We had 2x lasagnes, 1x steak and ale pie and a curry and all of them were amazing, we had no complaints at all. Really fair prices and the food came out quite quickly too! We will HIGHLY recommend and will certainly be back when we are next in the Lakes. Thanks guys! :)

This is possibly the best pub I’ve been to. Staff were the friendliest bunch of people, so attentive throughout the night and had good chat (shout out to Christina for being amazing). Finding a veggie friendly meal is always a battle but this had its own veggie/vegan menu yeah it was simple but you can’t beat proper home cooked food (I’d take that over overpriced smashed avocado any day) and the portions were huge! Other half had a footlong sausage baguette with a pot of gravy and I’ve never seen him so happy (gravy is definitely a way to a northerners heart) Atmosphere was great; warm and inviting with so many dogs to fuss over I never wanted to leave.

We always pop in here for a drink when in Bowness but have never eaten here before. So glad we did lovely food, friendly and polite service and good value. I had the lamb shank (which was cooked perfectly) and hubby had steak and ale pie, equally as good! We definitely return with our daughter in December

We visited The Royal Oak on a rainy grey day , we were made very welcome on our arrival and given a table near a lovely roaring fire . The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was superb, I had the lasagna and my husband had the gammon and chips and would recommend both . Definitely worth a visit .

Nipped in after our walk for lunch. Although tasty £7 for a small piece of bread topped with tuna and cheese is a total rip off. On the previous 2 days, at different pubs I had sandwich lunches all costing roughly the same. This was by far the worst value for money. Probably wont return.

Outstanding stay from arrival to departure. Customer service exceptional at all times with the friendliest team possible. Room really clean & comfortable, breakfast and evening meal excellent. We were super impressed by how quickly tables were cleaned after people left, extremely covid safe without compromise. Really hardworking team with great personalities. Now will be our go-to place in the Lakes

popped in for dinner on a very rainy evening ( no way could you sit outside) lovely food and good range of Beer and Wine staff were so lovely and attentive couldn't fault them...they were all busy but cheerful glad we found it

We initially popped into the Royal Oak for a quick drink on our way into the centre of Bowness for dinner, but service was so good we went back the next day too!All outdoor tables had their own heaters and cushions, and dogs are welcome both in the outside areas and indoors.Would definitely recommend, particularly if you are visiting with a woof (who will end up getting very spoilt!)

As a group of nine with a baby and dog we were expecting to have trouble finding a lunch venue after climbing BrantFell. We went to the Royal Oak more in hope than expectation but were really surprised at the kindness of the staff who looked after us and offered inside seats with a high chair for junior. The service was super attentive and the beer excellent. The food was good wholesome pub grub which we all enjoyed.Thoroughly recommended hostelry and I hope those lovely Spanish staff stay there until we return.

We received a friendly and cheerful welcome despite the fact the waiting staff were extremely busy.We were looked after well by three different members of the team and ordered four different meals.Without exception, the food was cooked well, served hot and enjoyed by us all.Well done everyone for professionalism and customer care at such a busy time.Highly recommend.

Had some lunch here and found the food to be very good and service very good and friendly. We sat outside the front where there were quite a few tables, comfy seat pads, heated parasols and three areas of the same, table service which was nice. Recommended.

How have we missed this pub on our previous visits to the Lakes, what a great find. We ended up here each day during our stay for a few pints after a days walking, its a lovely pub with a great outdoor area at the front and whilst we didn’t actually eat here the comments around us from other customers where very positive and complimentary. But the best part of this pub is it’s staff, so thank you to all the guys and girls that served us on the outside terrace you are a credit to the Royal Oak, so very helpful, efficient and friendly, customer service at its highest level.

Lovely stay at this pub. Room a tad on the small size but adequate for the two of us. Really comfortable bed and very clean. We were overlooking the beer garden was a bit noisy but close the windows and wasn't too bad and bar closes at 10pm so wasn't very late.Breakfast was fantastic freshly cooked to order and piping hot and staff were really attentive we also had a couple of evening meals there as well reasonable and fantastic quality.Parking was tight but we left our car there and walked or bussed everywhere. Really loves our stay and will definitely go back

As the first pub I got to at the end of the Dales Way it was certainly a welcome place to stop. The menu is quite large so no one should be able to complain there’s not a snack for them! I should point out however that this is a popular pub and can get very busy so (top tip) a smile with a “please and thank you” to the serving staff as they rush about is the best way to enjoy your stay.

Good food with fast and friendly service. Ask you to pay upfront, which I found slightly off and it felt rude too. The food was good though and we left happy.

We are just back from a 2 night child free stay in Bowness. The pub was a stones throw from our hotel and we chanced upon it on our first night wandering into the town-what a lucky find! Super friendly staff, very welcoming and cheery throughout- nothing too much trouble.Fantastic outdoor seating set up with each table fitted with electric heaters around the parasol, and staff constantly around to help. Table service only at the moment, which was always quick. We stopped for drinks our first night then decided to stop for dinner our second and the food was lovely- reasonably priced for the area and good quality. Fresh, tasty higher-end pub grub. Family and dog friendly too which is an added bonus (although we left our 2 and 4 legged babies at home with grandparents, it's still worth noting). From observation the staff were great with kids and water bowls offered to every dog that joined (along with lots of fuss).Highly recommend!

We stayed nearby at a b n b. Thought we would try out The Royal Oak as it seemed busy and as soon as we walked up the drive a lovely guy came out to meet us. He said what times would be quieter at night so decided before 7pm. We were greeted that night by a lovely girl called Hannah who showed us too our table and took our drinks order. When she came back with the drinks we ordered our food. Great choice and even vegan if you wanted it. My husband had the steak pie and I had chicken curry. Both were absolutely delicious. Very hot and well presented. We actually came in our second evening and both had fish n chips. The batter on that fish was the best I’ve ever had. Very crunchy and tasty. The staff can not do enough for you, no wonder people keep going back. Next time we go to Bowness we will book to stay in one of their rooms too. Met the owner who was a lovely lady who also mucks in with the staff. Great place if you go to Bowness give it a go you won’t be disappointed.

We stopped here for lunch and a few drinks, very easy to get a table even though the town was extremely busy. Such excellent table service especially from Ananda, who is very friendly, polite and professional. Good sized portions of delicious food served for a decent price. Definitely recommend checking it out!

First time visit to Windermere. Very busy time due to Covid holiday traffic. We were a party of 10 so struggled to find suitable places to eat. Some restaurants turned us away without a thought leaving us wishing we hadn’t bothered! The Oak were brilliant - they tried to accommodate us and did this with ease. Furthermore we were greeted with a smile from all staff. Adie and the ladies were brilliant and not only made us feel welcome but would always make sure our drinks were replenished as soon as empty. We definitely spent more money due to their good service.When we arrived for the second time, the staff recognised us which for me is good customer service. We visited every day during our stay and treated it like our local. I wish people writing reviews could appreciate that staff everywhere are trying to carry out a service in difficult circumstances with Covid. For me the staff here got the basics right and that’s all I ask. If restaurants can’t accommodate a large party there are ways of delivering that message - some just couldn’t do it. Thank you for being our short term local

What absolutely lovely staff and drinks were delicious. So friendly Brought my dog biscuits and was genuinely interested in us. Nicola was especially lovely and very efficient, friendly and genuine. The Spanish girl was delightful too. I highly recommend this place if you visit Windermere

We were looking for fresh food in a busy tourist spot. Yes they had a table straight away - tick. There was a 45 minute wait on food - to be expected. Menu was fine as long as you like fried or deep fried, nothing fresh, no salads for example. We ordered two tuna melts - not a ciabatta as you might expect - just tuna and cheese on toast. The same for the chicken and bacon sandwich. Not a sandwich, just chicken and bacon on toast. The cheese burgers were okay but a bit bland. Our order was wrong; they put two chicken sandwiches in instead of one. They had no baby high chair outside because they said the ground was uneven; so to mitigate the risk of a - year old in a potentially wobbly high chair, he sat on the picnic bench beside us. All a bit okay. Nothing special. A bit Fawlty Towers.

We arrived in the Lakes and this was the only place that was still serving/had availability. We had a lovely meal (lasagne and fish and chips) which was typical pub grub. The service was brilliant and the staff were very warm and friendly- we would recommend!

We stumbled across this pub while in Bo'ness last week. Staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. I opted for the roast beef Sunday lunch and my son had the footlong sausage baguette with chips. Excellent portions, reasonably price, beautifully cooked. Definitely would recommend.

We cannot recommend this family friendly pub enough. I researched the best pubs prior to coming on holiday and it paid off because the food here was extremely tasty, nicely presented and there was a good selection of dishes to choose from. I emailed the pub in advance for the kids menu as it wasn’t on the website. It was promptly sent to me by Angie. The kid’s menu had good main meal choices but only ice cream for pudding. The staff were all very friendly and the overall ambiance good. Will definitely return here the next time we visit the area.

Just had an absolute fabulous top notch home cooked meal here tonight. To be fair I kept changing my mind what to have each time another meal came out as they all looked excellent!!…..Our First time here and it certainly won’t be the last. We will be heading here every time we come to the lakes. I had lasagne and it is the best one I’ve ever had, and the hottest! it came with home made garlic bread and salad. Oh and the onion rings are to die for, a proper portion and proper home cooked. The presentation and the meal itself could not be faulted. A big thumbs up to the chef as he (or she) is certainly dishing out some fantastic meals. The service staff were excellent and very good cleaning down every table after use and going about their job very swiftly and efficiently. Thank you we will definitely be back…..

We visited the Royal Oak on Saturday afternoon and haven't been out for a while due to the current situation. It was great to be back and had a really warm welcome from a lot of new faces, what made it for us is that Paul is back behind the bar, great to see him again. All the staff were very friendly and very aware of the covid regulations regarding serving, we had a bar snack and still the same great quality as always.

A brilliant location right in the the centre of town. The room was simply stunning with a fanatastic view, What made the trip was the staff - simply some of the best service I have ever had. It was so good we did not look anywhere else for our evening meal. We certainly made the rigfht decision - the food was fantastic. Thanks for a wonderful stay - looking forward to coming back.

The Royal Oak seemed a little quieter than the centre of Bowness which was great. We sat outside and the service was friendly and quick. The food was really tasty, arrived quickly and was hot. I think the menu is a little over priced but we did really enjoy the food all the same.

The Royal Oak serves ‘pub grub’ in a typical pub setting, with seating both inside and outside. The food was good and the service was adequate. We noticed the staff were turning customers away before 8.00pm, and we soon found out why - the kitchen closed at 8.00pm. This somewhat ruined our meal as we were unable to order any desserts. If you intend eating at the Royal Oak, make sure you arrive early before the kitchen closes!

As vegetarian it’s hard to find restaurants with more than 2 veggie options. This place had quite a few options so we were hopeful but in the end the food was good but nothing special. The staff were fantastic though and food came out quick

Great service, dog friendly. Outside tables have heaters. Off the beaten track in bowness, so just nice atmosphere.

Popped in having read some good reviews. Ordered halloumi fries to share for starter...disappointing as only had 3 sticks for £6. Tasty though.Main bites were cheese on toast and chicken / bacon sarnie. Both tasty but portions little small for the price. Pint of landlord and shandy to drink, both decent.Overall pretty good but would have a proper pub meal next time.Staff really good and attentive and friendly too .

I had just got off a Boat, after a Cruise on Lake Windermere, Bowness-on-Windermere was Busy ! Everybody wanted to get something to Eat & Drink, overlooking the Lake. I myself, wanted to Sit Down & have a Pint. I walked up the road, everybody turned off to the Left, but I just walked up the road, and there it was, a Pub Sig, The Royal Oak Inn. It was busy, but there were Tables & Chairs empty. I waited to be Seated, the Barman asked me to Wait while he Cleaned the Table & Chair for me. I sat down, ordered my Pint of Black Sheep ( £4.20 ) & when the Barman came out with my Pint, also brought out a Menu. I ordered a Pint of Swan Blonde ( £3.90 ) & a Tuna Melt Open Sandwich ( £7.00 ) Excellent !!!

An excellent pub, with excellent food and amazing staff that couldn’t do enough to help us, going out of their way to help my mum. If you are in Bowness you have to come here. The steak and ale pie is fantastic.

What can I say?? fab food, staff that can do no wrong. Great chips and fish etc. Ace, will come back again

We had a lovely one night stay in the Royal Oak inn. Perfect room with a beautiful view and a great location. No noise heard from the other rooms. The staff were kind and friendly and the breakfast was really good. I would definitely return and would recommend to friends and family.

We have just got back today from a two night stay at this lovely hotel/pub! From arrival we were treated with the upmost respect and we were provided with such a friendly service! All staff over the two days where all friendly and provided a welcoming hello. The food they served especially the breakfast is amazing, big portions too! Such a positive bubbly vibe whilst sat outside having a nice refreshing drink. The room we stayed in was big and spacious and plenty storage space! It was spotlessly clean especially during these times (Covid). We had tea, coffee, sugar and biscuits with a kettle provided in the room for our morning brews! There was a hairdryer provided also so we didn’t need to pack ours! We needed to iron our clothes and they left the ironing board and iron outside our room, nothing was too much trouble for this place! The bed and covers were comfortable to sleep with/on, myself and my partner had brilliant nights sleep. You could also see the lake from the room we stayed in which give lovely views/scenery! Overall The Royal Oak Inn was a lovely place to stay and I would/will be recommending it to other people!
